I made a basic purple theme for those hating the blues. There are some blues I still could not get out. If someone wants to do the xml edits to fix those please do and you can release the modded version with my blessing. To change the clock color go into ROM Control and clock settings to change the color to purple to match the other status bar setttings. Screen shots will be up later.
For the Alpha Build 28ish ROM download the one with B28 in it.
For the Alpha Build 29 download the one with B29 in it.
Had to make the signal bars a little brighter to see in sunlight.

Not sure but just a thought, use 7zip to extract the system UI and it might just be some pngs in there that need to be colorized. Not sure how aokp and cm9 themes work. Never really looked into one, but that's probably where I would look first. Looking good so far though Kenny.

Went through all the pngs and cannot find those cyan on pngs but maybe it is several together or because it may be a 9.png I am not seeing it.

Is there any pngs at all in there that are still cyan colored. I had a problem like this with my theme and just started going through everything and I found something with that color I would change it. Just kept doing that till I finally figured it it out. Not really the right way of doing things, but I don't play by the rules :]

I can't get it to boot, I haven't actually been able to get any b28 themes to work on b28(ish) they just don't seem to want to boot up.

I tried it and it installed fine for me. I suggest you try doing a factory data reset then flash ROM and gapps, boot, then flash theme then advance restore CM9 data from nandroid or setup your phone from scratch. Something is interfering with themes on your phone.

Restored CM9, flashed AOKP right over it with all my data, then flashed the theme and also worked just fine.
This installs fine -- but makes my top bar WHITE.
And not in good way -- like a flat white with jagged edges around the icons.

Ok, all I want to do is replace the stock sense slider with my own. I tried using apk manager to replace some files in the framework-res.apk but I got a bootloop. Would retrying that be my best idea, or would trying to create my own personal theme chooser apk be better? Any feedback is appreciated.

Do you mean the lense lockscreen? I know the lockscreen isn't themeable from theme Chooser, yet. So you would need to replace the pngs in the existing apk. I think.

Metamorph or ZipThemer are great tools for replacing .png files in system apps. Many of my morphs change the sliders/rotary, among other things.
ok, i got it to work using one of ur morphs as a base (thanks by the way), now the font color over it blends in. i cant find the xml i have to change, any ideas?

Glad to help. I don't know what xml to change, but I really want to know now.
Themed lockscreen Lense sounds like something I should add to my morphs. Some will work with the black text, others I would like to use white. Please let me know if you find that answer.

Haha that's pretty much what I did. I cropped a widgetlocker theme that I liked and replaced the lense png. Widgetlocker was just a little slow and buggy on the Inc CM7 nightlies.

Ninjamorph is neat, but time consuming for the number of changes I make. ZipThemer and Metamorph are much faster.

You did decompile the apk, right? It should show a normal xml once it's decompiled. Try with APK Manager. I use Windows notepad for xml's.
Yeah I used apk manager. I will double check cause I could have easily just messed something up. Glad to know I'm on the right track though haha!

I have the same problem, I want to change the lense lock pattern date & time color from black to white .
last time i tried doing stuff with lockscreen, it got me deodexing frameworks android.policy.jar's classes.dex files and editig keyguard_stuff.smali files but ended with bootloop..

Custom Dialer's for the NS4G
DISCONTINUED: Not making these dialer's anymore. Thank you to those of you that have supported and donated. I just don't have the time, and every time I post something new, somebody is messaging me saying that because they have done this on other phones, they deserve thanks for the work that I have done. I don't need the headache or drama.
I have been playing around with these dialers on my NS4G. These have been tested on CM7 Nightlies, Deck Gingerbread Rom, Bugless Pete's ASOP Nightlies and Carbon Series Rom and they work just fine. These zips will only change the contacts.apk on your system. I have made a few changes on most of the zips so a few things in the contacts will be themed. Here are some screenshots.
I guess that I should add that I am not responsible if anything would happen to your phone, so please flash at your own risk. If anybody has any problems on other roms than I listed, please let me know so I can update the OP.
Any special request on a themed dialer you would like, just post it in this thread. It might take me some time to get it done, but I will get it done as soon as possible. I have a pretty busy work schedule but I can usually work on this stuff on the weekends.

Look in the drawable HDPI finger folder in the contact.apk. Thats where I changed the keypad.

Each individual number key. Unless there is an easier way that I don't know about. I'm kind of new to doing this but thats how I do it.

So i looked in the file and thought hmmm alot more work than i expected, is there a way to change the back ground picture behind the buttons instead of being all black?
Also im running kings rom on my phone which has been running beautifully, but it is not deodexed will this give me an issue with modding my dialer? or any other files within my phone? ive looked at other roms but nothing has caught my liking. which one are you running?

So, since I retired my d1, I haven't had time to do any theme porting. I did quite a few for Droid Concepts before I moved to my D3. Anyway, Im going to start porting some themes because im a bit of a theme junkie and like to change it up quite often and with the current lack of theme choices, its time to get to work. First thing I want to do is get some feedback and see what themes the community would like to see. My guess is since all the roms are based on the same framework, the ports "should" work on most of them. I am going to pick the top 3 themes that I get feedback on. As I am new to the D3s framework, they will be a work in progress until I find where everything is at. This is the reason for choosing 3 to begin with.
So let's see what you are all interested in. IMPORTANT: please provide a link to the theme when you post so we can all see.

this is what i wanted too. if you are rooted flash MonsterROM the theme is pretty thorough throughout. no gloss or metallic or anything like that. The only thing i wish is he would black out the settings and menus with white bars instead of just making black bars.

Just remember "Nadroid first and often"

For starters, I'm on chevycams SteelDroid 3.0 (which means already deodexed). When I installed this package, there are a few things I noticed immediately that made the phone unusable. First as you unlock the phone this error pops up: "Sorry! The process.com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.". You get a similar error for many apps. Second, you get no service (at all). Your contacts are gone, and the camera is gone. Some of these things you can easily reinstall yes, but there are some things I may not know about that may not work. Many applications have errors so you can't access them and make your force close. You can't directly access the settings menu (so no wifi, data options, etc.). Should I try installing it from stock?
Here is a little theme I threw together for those like myself that like the Bonsai blue circle mod. Plus the Shake & Bake dropdowns (thanks Travismoreno).
This will work with the scrollable dock mod
Also blue overscroll, fly-in windows and blue dialer added
Flash in CWM. If on MTD remember to mount system. Clear cache and Dalvik and boot.
Added cool blue dialer
My GF wanted the same thing in purples so I spent this morning making that and figured I would put it up for download for anyone interested. It has a cool purple dialer. If you like RandomKing has transparent messaging apps that work on EL30 and she chose the pink one which is pink and purple. Also added Purple Swype attachment if you want it. Thanks to Zman519 and DJ Darkknight for that!
This should work on any deodexed EL30 ROM. ALWAYS backup before flashing ANYTHING. Not responsible if your phone blows up or if the zombie apocalypse occurs....all coincidences!

The only thing else I added was blue wifi icon and the Blue Dialer from Shake & Bake also.

Yup, just a plain old theme with a blue dialer. I only had Sleeper ROM to test it on which has the hotspot already in that. I may do a little more when I get the charging icon fixed. Right now it sits on a yellow 25% circle when charging.
Charging icon fixed, wallpaper and blue overscroll added. If you dl'ed it before this redownload and reflash to fix the charging icon. More screenies will be in OP in a couple of minutes.

I'm running on Legendary 2.2 EL30. My only problem is that the pulldown drawer isn't transparent. I've reflashed the theme twice, but to no avail. Could anyone provide any insight on my dilemma?

Only problem I am having w this theme is android system force close here and there. I dont actually see anything fc...just says it. Maybe its from related but didn't know if anyone had this issue. I am on stock deodexed el30. Other than that, it looks nice

Did you wipe cache and dalvik cache before booting?

I understand. I have seen it once or twice on Sleeper v0.2. I am hoping it don't show up in 0.3.
Tried flashing this about 5 times now and everytime I get no status bar... haven't searched the thread yet cuz I'm about to go in for an interview... anybody with a quick solution?
Edit-noticed the thread was only two pages so I read through it quickly and no mention of this problem... any ideas anybody... wiped cache and dalvik and flashed and no status bar at all...

I agree with you guys. this being my first theme ever, I don't exactly know where to find the files for say, the clock in the statusbar or Sprint and the date in the Notification Area. I will have to consult with my adviser @travismoreno for his expert opinion. lol.

The settings is themed. The only thing in settings that isn't themed fro settings is the icon.

clock/carrier/date coding for color are in the framework.res resources.arsc..
The dialer would also look much better with a black background like in my new Blue Mist theme. Pm me if you need help with it.

Is this an .xml file? As I said, this is my first theme port and I have zero experience. I would love to edit this however I have no knowledge of editing .xml files. If you know how please PM me so I could get it done for you guys. Thanks rickriego.

strange result...
I flashed this theme, and when the phone rebooted there was a new "dock" at the bottom...it's the same dock as on my tablet. screen shot attached. any idea? It is functional, but I've got buttons already and don't need this.

The original thread might say it but that doesn't mean it's true. So far every theme has had to be rebuilt for each alpha. This ones no different.
