My IMEI has change

Hello, after a upgrade of my ROM with a CM7, my IMEI has change and is now
So is it possible to reset my original number ? because I because I can not connect in 3g.
Thanks for your help.
Mod Edit : dont post ur IMIE and ask this question in the Q&A its a sticky
this thread moved to General
OMG
Can you flash rom back to original one
this is strange, actually, IMEI number depends on the Chipset of the phone, isn't it ??
And you should not post your imei puplicly!!!
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA App
In the Galaxy S the imei was in a file in the /efs folder... I don't know in O2x...

I know, but it's not my number, so I don't care
I'm looking for a solution like Samsung Galaxy S
there was a similar thing with the ZTE Blade (Orange Sanfransisco) when CM7 came out for that. So NO it's not entirely in the hardware.
Not help but more of a possible confirmation that this is a problem:
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,6031
was put up 5 hours ago
That's only for Samsung phones, LG ones don't have an /efs partition.
We do have an /lgdrm partition though, which apparently on some phones does contain IMEI info, although the files (system.id & device.id) mentioned doesn't exist there on the O2X. I don't know if that controls the IMEI or just displays it or what.
Besides, that's a ClockworkMod recovery commit, not a CM7 one per se.
What is the solution that I 've the same problem happened to me Friends?
There is no solution.

There is solution if you have your original imei with you or box with you. There is one unapproved
Commit in cm git, cherry pick it and set your imei as you want. And then when you have it back, go to recovery and wipe all install official nightly or modaco or any other
mate imei will report exactly what the address could you tell us a little more detail?
That is surprising. Very surprising in fact, given that in many countries it is illegal to tamper with an IMEI number.
OK, so in this case it's restoring an IMEI, but it has the potential to be used nefariously.
Just a a brief look in the code review, but can't find it, any chance of a link?
Well thank you I have nothing more to do

Unfortunately steve removed that from review i guess, but it was there, have seen it, it was some new stuff which can let us change all IMEI, mac address wifi, bluetooth and also hide sim card verification stuff. and steve was strictly against it, as google would get angry if this would be included in cyanogen, so he must have removed it from review, so cant be cherry picked in kangs too. Now i wish i would have taken it before it went down
Oh that, yeah I do remember now you mention it... didn't realise it could change IMEI though, not properly at least. Caused a huge ****storm!
yeah, it had some heading like privacy or spoof word in commit change, but cant find it. If it was there, i would have helped made a little kang for him to get back normal
problem !
I have the same problem imei imei changed the phone number was out of service after nvflash
eh... Dont know why my post "disappeared" but there is a way to recover your original IMEI for P990 device.
Send me a PM and i will send instructions to recover IMEI.
There is another option
google is your friend

[Q] How to find out activation date of Galaxy Tab

Hi,
can someone tell me please how to find out the date of the activation of the device. I mean the first "contact" to the Google servers or similar.
Is there any logfile? Maybe in the build.prop?
Thank, Joshua
Hello,
In build.prop it is not there for sure. It is a configuration file.
It is probably somewhere on the system partition. Problem is that as you know the Google account can be configure multiple times again. For example after a ROM change it can be erased and setup again. Then it will not show the first day of contact but rather the new day of contact. Are you interested in how old the device is?
If u want to know how old the device is?
Then go to this place.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=2
Register. Then put the serial number[found on the backside of ur tab] in the space provided and hit send.U will get ur answer.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Its only high end devices having these problems.
Correct if I am wrong.

LG service files

Here are some documents and files from lg.
Service guide is very interesting it has some drivers and internal lg programs. Some phone tool with lot of options, Dissasambly video, Calibration guide, lg flashtool with .dll needed and how to use it and more.
Everything is well explaind in the software.
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP880/AGRCBK/P88012709/P880_Service_CD_Material.zip
Extract it, run .exe as admin in win7/8.
This is pdf with faults (HW and SW) and how to solve it.

Maybe you will find something usefull in this.
I dont have p880 to test it. (p920)

Wow :good:
interesting
wont be much of use.. most useful thing is for flashing.. and it looks as primitive as the lg's flashing tool we use for kdz files..
what about the software which needs a login? any use for that?
That's very usefull for someone who have problems with dust or others that requires opening the phone.
There is a video tutorial how to disassembly & assembly LGP880.
They have other technical hints but we don't have the peripheral devices for that.
What about the LG "D/L" cable the service CD mentions ?
Seems this is a cable with a resistor switch.
Found something similar for the P990 here:
http://www.made-in-china.com/showro...-With-3-Resistor-Selector-56K-130K-910K-.html
56k for LG P970/P990 unlock
130k for LG "service mode"
910k for LG P970/P990 flash and LG P999 flash/unlock

Would this help us (I doubt it without the hardware usb key)?
We use that kind of cable for optimus 3d it gets you to factory download mode. Pins 4 and 5 are connected with resistor. We use 910k.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
can it not be done by usb? what's the difference?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
Once passed the login on the application we can import the dll with the kdz or bin file. only thing I need seems to be the cable. I assume I can make my own using the 910k resistor between the 2 grounds.
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
btw, this is the application.

There is no need to reupload. Simple change the adress http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/ to http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/swdata/WDLSW/ and it works.

Thank you very much for the useful links

Help required from Xperia V users

hi guys,
My Xperia V got bricked and i tried to recover it but i cant. There is no help from Sony in my country as model itself doesn't got released here. Now im replacing its mother board by the help of local service technician.
He told it will cost 140USD. I want the mobile back urgently so i accepted it. But i fear whether he will replace it with original qualcomm's or some duplicate ones.
So i need your help regarding finding your device hardware info's by using the app "ANDROID SYSTEM INFO".
Use that app and post your hardware values here(like cpu, frequency, ram, PCB ... etc).
I will compare your values with my device once it got done and will verify the board.
Most of the hardware info's are available in internet i know but i wanna confirm that new motherboard with this app.
Urgently required. Please consider this and help.
Any other better suggestions to verify the mother board are most welcomed. Thanks
how can it brick? mine same too but im able to solve it by flashing it back... lucky that my V still alive...
I sent you a private message with a link to my phone info. Deleted the only info about the sim card and IMEI. I could not paste it here.
