I flashed jpk rom and tried restoring the one paid app I had installed before the flash, chicktionary. I used titanium backup to restore it but when i click on the icon the screen goes black and the phone starts vibrating.
It vibrates once then a pause then vibrates three times,it does this sequence eight times then the app starts. But then when I make a selection it does the vibrating sequence all over again four times making it unplayable.
So I uninstalled it cleared the cache partition, went back to the market (where it shows purchased) and downloaded it again. Same thing, hangs and vibrates. Does anyone know what's going on or how to get this working again?
maybe the app is not compatible with Froyo
there are a lot of Apps that work in 2.1 but not in 2.2
find and install a newer version for Froyo
if you email the developer i'm sure they will add in Froyo support
I installed it yesterday via Kies. after finished, it told me to reboot then I did, When I turned on the phone, it just started as normal with flashing S logo.
10-15 seconds later the screen turned black and the menu and back buttons lights on with a vibration sometimes.
I just cant use 3 buttons to get into any modes or use CMD to get into it. I just bought it last week and never installed any ROMS in it.
Any help, please?
I've had some issues after Kies upgrade... my apps kept crashing and not responding. I think I even had the same problem like you. All I did is a factory reset. Go to Settings -> Privacy and under Personal Data you'll find Factory data reset. Try it. Be carefull before doing a factory reset, try backup your data (phonebook, contacts, messages etc.) Hope it helps
I cant even get into the phone. got stuck at the logo..
the phone will auto reboot... how come you have to reboot it yourself?
Hello,
I have problems with my i9000. I am using MIUI 1.11.11.
The thing is that since yesterday I have serious issues with my phone. It happened before upgrading to new version of MIUI.
All apps started to crash, there is no exception. Starting from Google Services Framework untill standard bluetooth app. Every single one. I can't even check any e-mails, messages, I can't even make a call because calling app crashes too. I can't receive any calls at all. I rebooted phone, cleared caches, upgraded phone to MIUI 1.11.11 and nothing. I can't use my phone anymore.
When I pressed "Report problem" I saw for a second log with problem it said something about "data I/O error".
I think the issue is somehow connected to sdcard since I had problems with it before. It was always hard to connect my phone by usb cable. Actually... it was always hard to DISCONNECT my phone. I had to wait looong minutes (about 20 or so) till it finished disconnecting.
If you guys could help me, I'd be glad.
Thanks in advance,
v.
Cwm Recovery - wipe data factory reset, have you tried that?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16612037#post16612037 -ยป I've used this guide and never had problems
I suggest you to reinstall MIUI wiping via recovery cache, dalvik cache, formatting /system and factory reset!
Hi,
I have installed XXJVU few weeks ago for a while now i have problems with this rom. Sometimes when i press on the phone icon the phone closes it suddenly and goes back to the main screen, this happens very commonly also when pressing on contacts or pressing on messages.
I don't get any crash messages, i just repress on the icon several times till it doesn't close suddenly.
Anyone knows what may cause this problem and how to solve it? it started to be very irritating.
Have you done a factory reset after flashing? I noticed I get random issues when I forget to do it.
There is a phone.odex fix for jvu, hopefully you can find it by searching, not 1 fc since I installed it. Think it came from the sgs2 if I remember correctly.
Edit
Found it for you...

the JVU firware is not so good!!
I have been using RemICS 1.3 with Semaphore kernel on my phone for a few months. I had a few problems with bootloop at first, which was solved completely after i flashed the Semaphore kernel and my phone has been running smoothly ever since.
However, today my phone started freezing and giving errors out of nowhere. I open a simple application like alarm clock and it says the application is stopped. I was only be able to open a few applications. So, I rebooted the phone thinking it would go back to normal. Unfortunately, rebooting revealed that my phone no longer can boot. It passes the kernel screen, goes to the RemICS animation and gets stuck there. Since I could go into Recovery Mode I have tried to restore from the backup I had from 10 days ago when my phone was running perfectly. Did not work. I had another backup from July, did not work, actually made things worse by stucking my phone at Samsung screen. Wiped cache, Wiped dalvik cache, did not work.. Made things worse by putting my phone into loop boot. I have tried flashing Devil kernel and another version of Semaphore kernel. Did not work.. Phone back into being stuck at RemICS logo.
Nothing I do seems to work. It just won't boot. I could try flashing a fresh firmware but I have some info on my memo application that i need to save as well as some text messages.
I really don't know how this happened out of nowhere. How can I save my data? Please help?
I've tried lots of ROMs, and been stuck in boot loops many times.
I've always got out of them by using Odin, and trying different kernels until one works, semaphore, devil, and an old GB one. Out of all the boot loops I've been stuck in there's never been a single time that one of those kernels hasn't worked...
Maybe I've just been lucky??
Edit: on reading again tho it looks to me that its your ROM that is the problem not the kernel.
I recommend using SMS Backup+ (free) from the play store next time
