Hello,
I searched via Google before posting this message. If I missed something, I'm sorry..
I'm using RCMix v4 and I think the ICS dock bar is cool than rosie.
Anyway to port it on our GB Sense 3.5 ROMS?
Ps: sorry about bad English.

i dont see any chance at the moment (but i´m not a dev).
why you not use for example go launcher with an ics theme instead?
Ah I love my phone with sense hate custom launcher apps..

Maybe you should give a try at Go Launcher Ex and apply kovdev's ICS theme (it is easy to find in the market). It themes dock, icons and wallpapers.
By changing the launcher you'll keep the Sense apps (dialer, messages, facebook, settings, ...), the statusbar and the lockscreen with its alert system. What will change is the dock, the app drawers and the desktop. Go Launcher is flexible, folders can be created in the app drawer and in the desktop (the desktop ones can include shortcuts and bookmarks).
Also, consider that by in launchers different than Sense you cannot have the HTC widgets.
Rosie can still be accessed by creating a shortcut with Anycut.
Okay, I accept with that the Go Launcher is a cool launcher application but as you said Sense widgets are not available.

There is no perfect solution yet, until we get a stable ICS rom. I found that I could live without Sense widgets, but I understand that it is a matter depending on taste and on how one uses his phone.
After buying my DHD I kept Rosie without trying to replace it for almost one year... until I discovered that with ADW Launcher I could get more than 4 x 4 icons per screen. That was so addictive that I never turned back
Later I left ADW for GO.
You should experiment until you find a setup that suits your needs, if you think Rosie is the place to be look up for themes for your ROM.

ayone know where i can find a good Nexus One theme?
Haven't seen a theme change notification bar color yet.can mess with my mode themes to customize your own and download helix launcher from market to make it a little like nexus one, till we have root I doubt you'll see an exact replica of n1 on this phone.
Don't forget adw launcher. Real nice. Or wait till the froyo update

HELIX IS GREAT... AND RUNS FASTER (YOU CANT USE THE HTC SENSE WIDGET... BUT THEY SLOW THE PHONE DOWN ANYWAY)
ZEAM IS GOOD TOO
These and a couple of others are free in the market place, there is even a home switcher app to jump back and forth.
Enjoy!

Can you back this up? I have the HTC Mail, Calendar, Messages, Flip Clock, Twitter, Music, and News. Each one is a 4x4 on its own homescreen, and I'm using the 7 homescreens. On the one with the flip clock, I also have 8 shortcuts.
I have yet to see this slow down the phone in the slightest, so I'm not sure what you are referring to with the slowdown.
launcherpro is actually the fastest stock android launcher app.
And motorjonny is right, the HTC widgets WILL NOT work on any other home/launcher app. they only work with sense.
cant believe no ones said GDE with the nexus theme! gde costs from market, but nexus theme is free...

^^ I agree with them

Looks like Fede is about to go neck and neck with ADW Ex in the eye-candy department. Installed and now I have BOTH smoothness/performance AND nifty screen transitions.
been a big fan of LPP
I agree. I'm addicted to lpp Widgets. They are a leaner, more well designed version of what sense should have been if HTC placed function over gaudiness.

Loving the cube transition. If you keep high quality imaging it looks very cool. On a side note, running cm7 with LPP I don't notice any performance decrease turning on all animations and what not. Still super smooth and fast.

really? I cant get the LPP Widget for People working, there is no LPP Widget for Weather
and no LPP Widget for Exchange Email ! DOH!
Launcher Pro slow for me
Maybe it's just my Aria, but LP seems much slower than ADW built into ROM.
Any ideas why?
Lpp refers to launcher pro plus. The awesomeness is only available in the paid or otherwise pirated full version. But due to just how great it is, I would pay for it so the dev can continue his hard work.

Definitely worth paying for. It was the first app I bought. Its far ahead of the standard adw. I also purchased adw ex, which is also worth the money. But if you had to choose just one to pay for I would def say Launcherpro plus.

Looks pretty good even in the free version, but just 3 home screens is not enough. If there is one thing to like about the Sense it is the 5 home screens. Is there any way get LP (or most other Android launchers for that matter) to go to 5 home screens?
The paid version allows up to 7 homescreens and 3 docks.
Press menu on homescreen click prefetences
Signatures are fancy.
Does the installation of Launcher Pro Plus remove ADW or can they coexist?
I saw a thread somewhere about using a switcher app to go between multiple launchers but I can't seem to find it.
Thanks

You can have both. Only one is active at a time though. There is an app on the market called home switcher that allows you choose a default launcher and still be able to change launchers on the fly without resetting defaults.

After using LPP, I realized I had no want to even use ADW anymore. I set LPP as my default and removed ADW from my phone with adb commands. I think it has improved the speed of LPP even more. Couldn't be happier.

is there a way to replace the launcher in CM7 before flashing? I decompress the zip and see ADWlauncher.apk...I assume I can rename the ADWlauncher EX apk and just swap it out and it will install ADW EX instead of the normal ADW, but how about LPP? Can I rename it to ADWlauncher.apk and re-compress the zip and it will install LPP as the default and only launcher?
thanks,
Mike
Yeah you can.
I'm not sure if the rename is required though, although I do it myself just to be on the safe side (too lazy to correct the file, transfer to phone again, flash again in case it doesn't work Lol)

thank you. I'm still debating between adw ex and LPP. the main think keeping me from launcher pro is the app drawer. two things I don't like about it are:
the background is black as opposed to the clear background of ADW, and the fact that in ADW I can have a horizontal drawer, and in LP, all you can have are vertical drawers
I think I read another post on this recently and someone tried to replace before flashing and had trouble. My best advice would be to flash CM7 as usual then install the launcher of your choice, set it as default, then use adb commands to uninstall the original launcher. This way works for sure.
Sent from my CM 6.1.1 Liberty using XDA app
When drag and dropping to replace the file in the .zip, just make sure you choose to "Store" instead of "Compress" in the Compression Mode chooser. I've never had problems by replacing files.
I always remove adw and replace it with launcher pro before flashing a rom. I do this with several apps. There is no need to rename anything unless you don't remove adw from your phone beforehand either manually with adb or with a full data wipe. If your just flashing over the top of your existing rom then the reason you want to rename the .apk is so it will replace the currently installed apk, otherwise you'll end up with both installed.
The reason I do this us because I use DT a2sd and I don't want my launcher on the sd card so I put it in /system/app before flashing.

Few days ago I've seen the sense 3.5 on my friend's Desire HD and he showed me the weather widget. Which was really cool looking. So can anyone make it? I know that I can't just pull it out from sense. So I would love to use that weather widget.
There's an app called Beautiful Widgets on the market that's pretty similar. It is, however, a paid app.

Fancy Widgets has one as well. As far as pulling the widget from the Sense ROM, that work because you need the Sense framework for it to work, so you would either need a Sense-based ROM, or an alternative like Fancy Widgets or Beautiful Widgets.
Just install this, go to the app and set your location, and put it on your home screen. It's not the full weather widget, but it is the Sense clock.
fancy widget pro, download the H7C clock from the skin market and its the exact same as the sense widget.
None of it is the actual newest version of the sense clock/weather widget though, doubtful it'll ever come out.
Right now I'm running Nova launcher prime. is there any launchers that will change battery icons, signal bars, setting menus, notification menu, icons etc. to stock ics look ?
Thanks

Nope, that's a framework theming thing, not something that can be changed by a launcher.
Also, get Trebuchet launcher from CM9. It is much better than Nova.

not that i know of you will have to use a custom rom
Since we're talking launchers: I'm running the ICS update, still locked. I just installed Nova Launcher (not prime, just trying it out for now) and was wondering if there's a way to add the HTC clock widget to it? I don't see any of the HTC widgets listed when I'm running Nova launcher.
I'm guessing those can only be added when using the HTC Sense launcher?
Thanks,
-Brett.
Thanks for the help guys, can't wait for a stock ROM to run.

The main launchers I use are trebuchet and apex. They are much cleaner than nova in my opinion.

Yes you can only use those with the HTC Sense Launcher.
Honestly I like Nova better Trebuchet. It has twice the features of Trebuchet (on just the free version) and they look exactly the same.
Back on subject though StatusBar+ and Super Status Bar are the only notification bar replacement apps that I know of. I've only used StatusBar+ and its themed to look like WP7.
super status bar works but is still buggy but the dev does say it is a beta tried it for a little this afternoon if the bugs get worked out it will be a good program
You can use the UOT Kitchen to mod ur status bar. Ask Google for the link

Has the scrolling wallpaper simply vanished, or did I miss the memo? My original Motorola Droid can still scroll wallpapers, and my terrible Samsung Droid Charge could right up to the second to last update. Fully expected the One to have this feature, but it seems to be missing/buried/disabled. Was this feature deemed too processor intense and abandoned? Did Google just decide it was ugly, or is there some other reason scrolling wallpapers would be disappearing from Android?
It's a Sense thing. Install a different launcher like Nova or Apex and there you can find scrolling background in the settings.

Apparently it's a touchwiz thing too, then. Why can't they just leave that option in and let users decide?
Well, if I get tired of this launcher I just may try out Nova and Apex. I've heard of them and have wondered how they compared to launchers that have been around longer like Launcher Pro.
There's an app called landscape wallpaper, it makes the wallpaper scrollable again
