Okay, I've been trying to port LG ally rom to Sanyo Zio and have a issue..
So I went ahead and did the same steps as I did for the zio to my phone optimus t, and booted up no problem so I think its 1 or more of 3 things:
1- system/lib/modules are built into kernel on the Zio ( haven't seen that before)
2- something I'm doing wrong when changing updater script to update script
3- the port rom is too large in size(126 MB)
I'm gonna reduce size of rom and see if that's the problem, if not atleast ill be able to rule out number 3.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I slimmed the rom down from 126mb to 96 and it still bootlooped with clockworkmod flashing formating data, formatting cache and then vibrate, blackscreen, then all over again.
My guess is the modules, ill look into it some more tomorrow.

I tried another rom( older sense) from HTC desire and had some sym link errors while flashing so I'm gonna quit for today, and then maybe try and fix the symbolic link errors tomorrow and see what happens.

Well I'm still working at it, haven't made much progress..I'm not quite sure when ill have a zio to test again.
But I do believe and live by: The only limitations that you have, are the ones that you set for yourself.
So I wont be giving up anytime soon!

I have a problem with bootanimation.zip
My phone can't turn on. I've copied bootanimation.zip into system/media .. rebooted and I'm stuck in animation "android", I can't access anything.
I've forgot to delete system\media\bootsamsung.qmg files and it seems to be a problem.
Tell me please, how can I access system/media and delete bootanimation.zip ?
I don't wan't to re-flash it.
using: JVP 2.3.4 rooted
You can use the script of DamianGTO. He was banned of xda but you can find it on his own site.
which script?
his page is unavailable..
Your kernel must support changing the bootanimation.zip (stock-kernel doesn't).
Why got Damian banned?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
ok, so which kernel to 2.3.4 do you recommend? ;-)
I'm using speedmod

To all experts out there..
Right now, i have another android device (garmin asus a10) & so far, i cant install any backup n recovery tools.. is there any way to resolve this?
And also, can i import the sofware (i.e, Garmin navi software) into my O2X? Love the software..
Try Titanium backup
Backup everything on your old device, save your backup on external sd.
Put in your external sd (with titanium files on it) in your new device. Install titanium and restore backups
Should be it
Sent from my LG Optimus 2x using XDA Premium App
Using it, its the same way using RootExplorer.. zip from /system/app and /carrier/persist-app.. then copy everything n import into my O2X.. Hurmm.. thats 1..

Titanium backup
this good application, i am using one
Well.. try to install Navigation.apk.. results "Installation not finished".. some sort of keeping not to install into other devices..
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App
Try pushing it to /system/app instead of installing it.
"adb push"? How exactly?

Copy/paste with root explorer works fine
Sent from my LG Optimus 2x using XDA Premium App
So, just copy/paste the apk into system/app? Then should i run the app or reboot?
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App
If you have your apk stored on sdcard, yes.
Paste it in /system/app, change permissions to rw-r--r--
Reboot
Thats it
If it doesnt work you probably need to port it.. but thats another topic...
Sent from my LG Optimus 2x using XDA Premium App
Well.. didnt work as expected.. hurmm.. can u guide me which forum/s should i read regarding "porting"?

Have you flashed a Rom too? You had previously said it was just rooted... I think... if so, please be specific as to all the things you have flashed so we will be best able to help you get rid of them...

The easiest first step would be to hope you made a backup of when you first installed clockwork... if not, how long of a window before you have to send it back?

Flashing the tot file does not actually take it back to stock. When I went from Revolt to GB, I removed CWM then flashed the V6 tot. ALL of my data was still there, apps and all. It might take all the OS parts back, but it doesn't do any type of data wipe.

If your using stock it goes to internal SD /download or /downloads can remember what one if your using dolphin or a third party it basically where you designated it to go
Sent from my XT875 using xda premium
beats audio
Thanks alot! works perfectly. Also just boot into CWM and go to flash from sd card, navigate to downloads and install.
Yes I do believe eve stock downloads to internal SD by default you have to change it here to help buddy

Sorry but i dont get it. I downloaded straight to phone and tried to move from phone memory to sdcard-external to flash but none of the downloads wants to move to the sdcard what am i doing wrong?

You don't need to really move anything any where where ever you downloaded it you just navigate to that directory using volume keys and you select with power

Dude just flash this as you are flashing a rom you have done that before right
Sent from my XT875 using xda premium
My question wasn't how to flash. I flashed it and nothing is different or new. I see it added some .lib and .bin files but they aren't affecting anything.
Well i finally did it..and i can notice a little change but nothing TOO drastic. Someone should get these files and make a mini app of it so that wen downloaded there is an app to turn this function on so we can hear the difference...wish i was a developer..i have good ideas.

Sorry tuck should have quotes was talking other poster not you o know you know how to flash lol...

@outsider we have a similar program built for samsung devices don't remember the name but I think the issue for us is we can't make kerals or really truly over clock I believe they are related some how.
Sent from my XT875 using XDA App
I know the app its voodoo control plus i used to have droid charge lol
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
yeah ok could remember the name and it's built into the kernal builds as well.. but with us its different if you want that effect go to a rezound with beats audio soundcards built in.. or if your running ics.. there is a equilizer in the music app but not sure about g.b.
Hi!
Is this ok for Galaxy S with ICS??
Inviato dal mio GT-I9000 usando Tapatalk
umm... what forums are you in DROID BIONIC!!! so my guess is probably the bionic you should link this to the galaxy s forums and test it out if you want... make a backup and your good..

Just add froyo instead of ics or gingerbread (I think)
I think it should work, but I'm getting "no command 'repo' found :O
Which TASS config would I use?

if u have github after sync cm6 sources.
take some from cm7 to cm6 tree (so driver's updated)
yes u need libs(like omx) from open froyo Samsung.
Okay, cheers mate, gonna sync it and try tomorrow
