We already had a thread about it, but no result, just go and search for it. Anyone posted a suggestion, how it MIGHT work
i've searched but without result, only negative ones and a chance with a particular cable... i've also tried with two different programs to make and flash a splash screen but process stuck because mobile phone wont to go on hboot mode;
which is the suggestion that you mean? can you post here the link related? thank you so much
1 here, but without result: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1419287
One more here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526167
Hope it helps, but I think it is a tough thing to do...
tantrums in his rom marvel v6 have inserted a image after LG initial logo and before bootanimation, a small optimus black with a countdown. Is part of splash screen? Can i change it?
Is there any solution for this?Or any guide?

the way boot animations on captivate is way different.
to change the AT&T world phone you have to FLASH a whole new ROM.
To change the flying burning 3G with the Galaxy S boot you need to change the bootsamsung.qmg file. to change the shutdown animation.. there are .png files to change it i forgot where..
Here's a thread I easily searched in the forums with more information.

Thanx for your reply. I have read that thread before. The issue I have now is that I have removed all the att stuff with the SRE rom. So what I'm trying to do now is change the Samsung S animation. Right after the att slpash screen. I'm hoping to be able to remove both the white slpash screen and the Samsung S logo and simply have just my custom boot animation. I'd like to do the same for shutdown. Just need some help. I have tried using adb to explore my phone but for some reason it will read that the device is there and it will open shell and show the $ sign. But any cmd i type just says no known path ect. So I'm not sure what is wrong there. I wanted to try to just change out the qmg file with one of my own but don't know how yet. Any ideas anyone?

Hi,
I have a G1 that I upgraded to CM6 half a year ago. I was excited in the beginning but the more it began to lack the more I was thinking of restoring to default Android 1.6.
Then one moment I decided to downgrade.
I followed the Downgrade Guide in CyanogenMod forum:
wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Full_Downgrade_Guide_-_HTC_Dream
But it failed. I followed every step carefully but now it got broken some way.
What it actually does:
When booting up it gives the T-Mobile G1 screen and after few seconds, like 20 or so, the screen goes black and reboots. And that in an infinite loop.
It had the rainbow image on it so I can boot fastboot. But has no recovery I think so can't flash zips the way I know to do so..
CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS?
I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THAT THING!!!
I hope for some response soon!
Greetings!
Steven

Go here and search like you never searched before

I'm not sure if this is right but I think you can try and flash a recovery image from your fastboot then from there maybe you could flash another ROM? I don't know if that is the case but I think it might work. Let us know if it does.
Yes, I heard that as well, but how??
...
I searched the Cyanogen Wiki, Forums but didn't find anything on flashing from fastboot...
Anyone has experience with that or knows where to find usefull information on it?

Put the phone into fast boot while you have the recovery image in your sd card. It will read it and should flash it.
This post was brought to you in part by my HD2 using XDApp.
hello all,
I got a problem , when update to 7.5 (from version 7.0) i got a black screen and after that nothing. Waited for half an hour but still nothing. Now my Galaxy S cant start up , not even the starting screen. It seems that I have taken the wrong update , itake this one(darkytt3r_v7.5_BLN_voodooOff). The 3button way doesn't work (it did before). And can't get in download mode.
So I have only a black screen and nothing else. Battery replace doesn't work.
Does someone have an idea.

so you can't even see the 'galaxy s gt i9000'-screen?
No cant see that.

i think its totally bricked man, i think the only solution is to go to samsung for repair.
What caused the black screen?
The wrong ROM installed. Does a jig work for it?

This is my first time trying to create a custom boot animation... I think its going to be great if someone would gladly help me out... I can't figure out what has gone wrong with it and why when I restart its just a black screen.. I appreciate everyone who can help me. Thank you... And Thank You XDA... I would upload it directly to xda but the file is too big... so here is the link to whoever wants to help me...

I cant download and check as im stuck in work, but i assume its png animation?
-Have you STORED the boot animation instead of compressing?
-Have you checked that the desc.txt is written correct, right file names and a empty line at the bottom?
These are the two most common fails
You could also download someone elses bootscreen and compare files.
Hope this helps.

Solution was using smartflash, and i've done everything right but when smartflash doesnt detect the mobile, and yes apx was correctly installed according to the instruction.. how do i make smartflash to detect my phone?
Thanks
its not too dificult to find permanent second thread in development section. and there is multifunctional solution for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737
Hello, this exact same thing happened to me, don't worry, your phone isn't dead.
First you might wanna recover your phone so you can calm down a little by knowing that your phone is alright. To do that you have to look at the LG logo that appear when trying to turn on the phone, if it's white with white letters, you are on Gingerbread partition, if it's Red (kinda of pink) with white letters, then you have the ICS partition.
As soon as you see that, you have to download from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969797 a toolkit that will recover your phone so you can use it again. If you saw a white LG logo, then download the Gingerbread version of the toolkit, if you saw a red logo, then download the ICS version of the toolkit. To recover your phone just follow the instructions in that post and in the program.
After that, you can relax a little by know that your phone is ok. Know you might want to try using Smartflash to upgrade your phone to ICS.
I also had problems, when using Smartflash do update the files 1 by 1, mine stopped halfway through.
Still having wifi problems though
