Putting question here because I am not being allowed to ask the DEV directly as I normally would.
I am having a issue with DS Supertool it was sorking fine uptil yesterday I tried to open and use the app and for the past hour and after restart it's not opening. Any one else having issues with it? DS Market opens and works fine.
this question would be better asked in the DS Supertool thread, here.

Hi everyone. I auto rooted my Nook Color yesterday (version 1.0.1). It generally works -- YouTube plays videos and I can access my Gmail account. However, when I go to Market and try to download an app, it says "Starting Download" but never begins or completes the process.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Did you ever find a solution for this?
I'm having the same problem -- in Market, downloads start but then nothing happens. Thanks.
I'm guessing the market has some problems today. Downloads on my Evo are crawling as well.
Same thing happen to me when I first used auto nooter on my nook a few days ago. Powering off the nook (hold power button down till it ask "do you want to power off completely") and rebooting solved the problem for me.
edit:
(i had to cancel the download and restart it also)
I also had this issue after using Autonooter, however the issue was a port on my corporate firewall being blocked. as soon as i jumped on my home wifi connection everything started downloading. I believe the port is mentioned in the autonooter thread somewhere.
I had the same issue, and a hard reboot seemed to do the trick.
I just rooted my NC using the Auto-nooter method, and also had the same issue with the Market, where apps would say "Starting download" but never finish. Reboot did not fix it for me.
I read in one of the threads that the device has to be first set up with a Gmail account. On my first sign-in, I used my YouTube login id. Even though my YT login is linked to my Gmail account, it seems that is not sufficient for the Market to work.
I couldn't find a way to undo/redo the account setup, so I bit the bullet and reset everything back to factory default, then re-rooted. This time I made sure to use my Gmail ID/password when first starting YT. Everything is working fine now, including Market.
Hope this helps.
This isn't the Q&A section or general section.

I decided to go back to the stock root I got from Autonooter since this is my wife's, and I figure she'll appreciate this interface more (I'm going to get myself a NC and unlock its true potential
Regardless...once I switched back, I'm having issues with the market not working again.
Wifi is working, everything else appears to be in working order EXCEPT for the market.
It will just say "starting download" and not move past that.
How can I go about fixing this issue?
Having the same problem here.
same here, i think it was a problem when we rooted out NC.
In searching for similar issues, I see a lot of people bash this app. Let me say that I have it on my Acer tablet, and it kicks @$$. I rarely, if ever, see an ad. So what gives? My root went off without a hitch, all the permissions look good. I have not enabled Safe mode yet, but there is no need at this point in time. Just looking to solve issues one at a time.
The only things I have done to this phone are root, and run a nandroid backup. Then installed adfree.
Thoughts? (yes I have rebooted it)
Thank you.
Weird. I've used AdFree on my rooted stock (though not Safestrapped) D4 for weeks now. Always worked fine. Last update was about 4 days ago. (/system/etc/hosts dated 18 Jun 12 18:08:00)
(Yeah, "works for me" isn't really helpful, except to demonstrate that it may not be a class problem.)
I have been blocking ads using romtoolbox without any trouble. I use the pro version but the free one has a ad blocker in it too.
So initially I was having trouble getting it to re-root with qemu, and eventually I did however get it rooted again. I have root access and everything is fine other than the fact that I can no longer open the Google play store. I have uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled. Im getting irritated, I have followed these boards since September without needing to ask for help but also never had an issue with my kindle fire hd 7'' up until that last sabotaging that amazon decided to do. Perhaps someone with the same problem can benefit also if we can figure it out because I noticed someone with a similar issue but didn't want to hijack the thread. Thanks in advance :good:
Several months ago I installed CM10 on my Nook HD+ and for the most part everything runs perfectly.
However in mid March I installed a Cyanogen update and very soon after I noticed many of my apps (all downloaded from Amazons app of the day) would not run, giving me the following error:
Internal Service Error: An internal error occurred. This can be caused by a lack of network connectivity, please make sure you have a good network connection.
At the time, I Googled and tried the suggestions I found (although the suggestions were all for other devices such as Kindle Fire). I checked the time and date were correct, deregistered and reregistered my device and tried rebooting.
And that seemed to fix the issue, although I concede I havent been using the Nook much lately.
Tonight I went to use my Nook to play a few games and the problem is back and its even worse now. I now cannot play any of my games, even ones I have played numerous times before without any wifi turned on. We dont have wifi at home, I tether my phone when I want to use the internet on my Nook. I do know there are some games that require internet access, however the vast majority of mine dont, which I know for a fact as I've played them so often with no internet.
So, why all of a sudden, does everything need wifi? How can I fix this? Is it just coincidence the problem occurred immediately after a system update, and if it could be the update that caused it, how can I find out which update it was and can it be uninstalled?
The instances of this I found mentioned online mainly referred to it happening to just one app, and some people found uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixed the issue. But I have close to 200 apps all doing this.
Since I mainly use the Nook for playing these games, its useless to me as it is now and if I cant fix this issue I wont have any choice but to remove the Mod and return it to stock software, which I really dont want to have to do.
Please can someone help me with this, in basic, non-technical language please?
Thank you.
Hello?
Please, does anyone have any input on this problem? Have I asked in the wrong forum?
I asked about this in another forum and it was suggested that maybe the update made my Nook appear like a new device to Amazon and that the error message is the games wanting to confirm with Amazon that the license to run the game was correct (or something along those lines).
I have just tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple of games and now they work so it would appear that suggestion is exactly what has happened. So I guess I now have to uninstall and redownload all those 200+ apps and games, which is going to be a nightmare with no internet at home.
And if updates cause the device to appear different, then how do I know this wont keep happening with future updates? I am not going to keep reinstalling every thing, so do I just turn updates off instead? That doesnt seem like a very wise idea.
I would really appreciate some help with this please, or even just to be pointed in the right direction if I should be asking elsewhere.
Thank you.
Well I guess no one has any advise or help of any kind to offer. I will post this update in case anyone else has the same issue.
I ended up having to uninstall and redownload every one of my apps, and now they all work fine again, so I can only assume the suggestion I received on a different forum that the update made my device appear as a new device, meaning the internet was needed for the apps to check licenses with Amazon was correct.
With this in mind, I would now never recommend the Cyanogen mod to any one else. Whats the point if updates are going to screw everything like this? I have now turned off the updates, which I would normally never do. When my Nook gets to the stage of having to have updates I will uninstall Cyanogen and just go back to using a stock Nook.
Its a shame as I have been very happy with it up until all this happened but since there is no back up or support from anyone when things go wrong, its simply not worth the hassle.
