Howdy folks,
I've got an unrooted i957 thats running firefox. I can't seem to open my flash player or see any options that would let me view flash enabled sites.
I've uninstalled, rebooted, installed, etc yet to no avail.
I've searched the forums (galaxytabforum, etc) and seems this is a problem that some of us are facing.
I'd sure appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks
Firefox for Android doesn't support Flash.
Well, that certainly would explain my problem.
Thank you.

Hey guys, not sure if this is a common problem or not. I recently updated to CM 4.2.3.1. And ever since, i'll download an app and it will sit in my downloads section and just says "starting download" I have to cancel download and try again but i have to sit in the app's page and watch it in order for it to start the download. IS there an easy fix for this? I wiped before flashing the latest update and i even ran "fix_permissions". and still the same problem. any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I just got my NC last night in the mail and got it rooted and pretty much how I want it. Just 2 questions.
1) PlayOn from MediaMall doesn't show up in the market but I copied it from my phone (Captivate) and it doesn't show up as a app and won't install. I copied it to /data/app, same location it was, on the Captivate.
2) When I first rooted the newer YT app worked and then I got the instant close, I got a version working but I wanted to see if there is a way to get the new one working again?
I have searched and didn't come up with much.
Thanks.
Edit: NM Playon requires 2.2 , I will leave the question about PlayOn here for reference if anyone else tried to install.
Edit: I found a thread that has a signed_youtube.apk.
I remembered that last night Search wasn't working, thats why I didn't find anything.
Youtube stopped working after a reboot! Seems like wipe data in TiBu worked after reboot, does this need to be done every time? Or does this have to do with accessing My Channel?

I don't Think that Question has ever been fully answered for the stock roms. All I know is that at some point the youtube app will stop working and you have to clear the cache. I doubt it will get fixed, people are far to interasted in getting the newer roms working. Once B&N creates a stock 2.2 rom maybe then the issues with go away.

You can get Froyo running off SD. Also most Apps won't work if you just push them to the Android Device. If you have adb working run "adb install appname.apk" otherwise go to Settings --> Apllication --> Unknown Sources then copy the APKs to the Internal Storage and then use Astro File Manager to Install them.

Ive been reading up on this for about 2 weeks now and decided to flash nookie-froyo-0.6.8.custom.3.zip. I got market and all the gapps to work fine but cant seem to get any youtube videos on my browser to work i keep getting the error - Cannot play video - Sorry, this video cannot be played.
Is this just an issue with nookiefroyo or is there a workaround. youtube from browser works just fine from my htc aria. Thanks
I'm having similar problems. Flash content works on some sites, but anytime that I try to watch a flash video, the browser crashes.
Anybody have advice?

Switch user agent from default (Android) to desktop.
Does Flash works on other websites? If it does not, backup Flash with Titanium Backup, uninstall, and then restore Flash.
Thanks for the reply!
I have dolphin hd. i downloaded the addon for this and still it doesnt work can you explain how to do this without dolphin, still with the addon it doesnt work thanks in advance
In Dolphin: Menu > More > Settings > User Agent > Desktop
Both times I installed nookie froyo, I have to uninstall flash, then reinstall from the market. This always fixes any issues I was having.
I'm having this problem with Firefox too. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Flash via Titanium Backup (this actually worked with Firefox on my Android phone), but Firefox still won't play Flash, acts like Flash isn't installed. The default browser does play Flash though.
Any other tricks other than uninstalling and reinstalling Flash? Firefox doesn't seem to have an option to change the agent.
Grab the Flash 10.2 that's floating around the forums. It is working great on my NC with the Customized Nookie Froyo 0.6.8.
Flash download
Stolen from the XDA XOOM forum. Original Thread Here
Thanks to XDA Members frankic for the original post and to Blades for following up with a working linky. If that link goes bad try the link to the XOOM forum.
Hulu even works somewhat ok (DolphinHD) after a little tweaking...
I recently did a manual noot on my 1.2.0 NC, and all went well
(thanks go to GabrialDestruir). However as I began mucking about on it, I seem to have removed/uninstalled Adobe Flash. Now when I open YouTube, etc it tells me I need to install it, but can't for the life of me find it in the Market or any way to do so.
I had the bootloop issue at first since I apparently tried to install the update before reading of the issues with it.
Any help ?
look for signed_youtube.apk and reinstall. worked for me when I mucked it up.
Thanks, I'm on it.
update:
Grabbed & installed it w/ FE, but Dolphin mini still tells me I need to install Adobe plugin for flash videos to work
Vids WILL play directly thru YouTube.
Hi everyone,
Was having some bother with my CM9 TP lately......things like apps not updating complaining about storage space etc (which should not have been an issue at all, 32Gb TP with the storage space fix bumped)
Anyway, chose to completely uninstall CM and WebOsDoctor it back to 3.0.5.
First issue, in webos....no matter what i do, i cannot install things from the HP store.....constantly getting "install failed".....i thought a doctor would sort everything out?
Anyway, I followed the superb guides here to push on 10.1-20131210-snapshot-vpn-tenderloin as outlined by Roland.
Now....all went swimmingly, surprisingly easy these days, but i have one issue that is niggling me and that is with the sound.
When i installed, the sound was absolutely fine....was well happy with that ROM.
However, i have noted that the sound only works for a short while and then stops. Is this a known issue with the above ROM and is there a fix available?
Apologies if this has been asked before and i have searched, but as yet i have not found an answer for my situation
Thanks guys
Andy
Please read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329264 it will explain how to update your Root certificate for webOS.
Hope this helps.

Reboot after installing the patch, then use the internal pro app to check if its installed. Its all covered in the instructions.

Hey, I have the same problem. Tried several versions of cm over the last years but allways lost the sound after a couple of minutes. It seems like this is a known issue but I have never heard of a solution to it. Does anybody know how to get rid of this frustrating issue?
Everything works absolutely fine on webos, so I think it is not a hardware problem.
Thanks
