Unbrick Revolution from LG Screen - LG Revolution

GOOD NEWS! Unless your power button does not work, the Revolution IS unbrickable! After searching far and wide for a method to unbrick my phone from the lg boot screen, I found a way! By now you have hopefully been to all of the other threads and downloaded and installed LGNPST and all of that hoopla so I will just post links and not full directions...here we go:
1) Download and install LGNPST and associated files
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466655
2) Follow directions all the way through step 11
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386
3) Remove your battery and connect your phone via usb (the hard buttons on the bottom of the phone should blink slowly).
**Make sure battery is at least 25% charged
4) Hold down power + vol up.
5) Phone will come on and read "downloading do not remove cord" or something to that nature. Put battery back in.
6) If you followed step 2 correctly, LGNPST will now show an unknown device and will be in emergency phone book mode. Under the emergency tab it will ask you for 1) a .dll file and 2) a phone book. Click on the folder icon next to .dll file and load the VS910.dll from wherever you have it saved. Click on the folder icon next to phone book. Navigate to the folder where you have saved the correct .tot file. in the "file name" box type *.* and hit enter. If you are in the correct folder you should now see the .tot file, click on it then click "save".
7) Back on the LGNPST screen click on start. It should now say MASTERBIN and a percentage ticking up (if not you have done something wrong).
8) once completed commence re-rooting!

special thanks to:
mtmichaelson for his awesome root package!!!
jackpot08 for LGNPST
and all of those who have kept the .tot files movin'
I hope this helps!!!

Good post, this method does work as a last resort, but be warned.. flashing a tot file from the emergency download mode like this will most likely get you stuck in "test mode" -- no more usb mass storage (and possibly other problems).
And so far noone knows how to get out of test mode...

All it took was a simple google search...

Broken link to a "fix" that is more of a bandaid than a fix, as it requires you to downgrade to froyo.

Yep.. believe me I searched... and searched and searched until my eyes almost popped out of my head
Nonetheless I'll take test mode over a bricked phone with a fresh 2 year contract any day...

Links for this AND instructions are posted in like 3 other threads lol.

You do not have to go through all that if you have the proper drivers.

Flashing to v4 froyo tot will not leave the the phone in test mode or rooted. If you can get your phone back to froyo with no test mode then you can bring the phone back, and tell them the phone will not update. I have had two phones already and for some reason they will not take the ota updates. The carrier had no idea I rooted/unrooted and flashed oh so many times. Just a suggestion for noobs who do not want to spend hours or days or maybe even weeks trying to get this phone to work correctly.

Help please
I have tried above and I cant seem to get drivers to install properly
The only one that installs properly is USB Composite device and the LGE CDMA USB does not install properly. I flashed wrong recovery from ROM Manager and stuck at LG screen. LGNPST does not capture my phone. What else should or can I do besides take it in?

drivers
i put both LGAndroidDriver_Ver_1.0_All and LG VZW_United_WHQL_v2.4.1 and they installed correctly is ur phone stuck or can it boot

unbrick Lg revo info
I downloaded the files and had an issue extracting the rom .tot file , How do I extract the .tot so I can use them with the LGNPST.
I have followed the directions and found The LGNPST program comes up blank with no phone info. I am guessing it is because of the .tot files not being "extracted " . I sure would appreciate some help on this one. My phone is bricked.

When you download the .tot file, it should be a zip file. Just extract the zip file using WinRAR or 7zip to somewhere it's easy to find.
If it's not a zip file, then chances are it's already extracted and you don't need to do it.
If LGPNST is coming up blank even though your phone is plugged in, then you need to install the correct drivers or try a different USB cable or a different USB port because it means LGPNST can't connect to your device.

I can't get it to internet connection because i can't boot into anything . It is like it is stuck at boot. also the .tot files do not extract with any zip program . I have loaded the vs910.dll and the drivers onto my computer but the LGNPST program still not recognizing any phone. for that matter the the computer has not recognized the phone , maybe due to I cannot set internet connection mode. The USB De bug was enabled before all this started.
The whole situation of not completing boot came about when I happened defrosted the astro file manager app. Help

I had a few issues with this namely Tots not loading right getting perm black screen, I pulled the batt, put it back in and did a hard reset (wipe) back to stock then rooted added CWM with MT's hlep of course and am now re flashing gingervolt to broken out 1.1 and still puts me back in test mode, even restoring older backups put me in test mode, only v4 seems to work....WHY?

Thanks I finally got it back running with the LGNPST , tot version 7 . The phone works now but I also am in test mode and cannot switch my usb. Question, Can I use The LGNPST and select tot version 4 and install that as before to get my usb back. And if so will I then be able to get OTA updates or will I have to return it to store for that. I hate being stuck in test. What happens with phone stuck in test ?

You'll be able to get OTAs but you'll still be stuck in test mode. To this day there is no known method (yet) to get out of test mode. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the only difference I know of with test mode is that you can't transfer files via USB cable anymore. You have to either use adb or an adapter for your microSD card to your PC.

Need Odin3 1 click/stuck on boot screen

So I flashed my phone to Phoenix and was going wonderfully. Flew into St. Louis from Oklahoma and the phone froze up. It's now stuck on the AT&T boot screen. Occassionally after doing a battery pull and turning it on, the Phoenix boot screen will come up and I've gotten it to the lock/unlock screen but is unresponsive to touch.
Occassionally it even has what almost looks like colorful static on the screen. So now I'm in a completely different state without my home laptop for a week with the Odin3 1 click and am unable to find a download link for it.
Help would be appreciated. I was hoping to get the phone into recovery to try and flash back to stock or reflash Phoenix but it just stays stuck on the AT&T boot screen now.
remove battery, put battery back in, hold up+down vol buttons, plug in usb.
you'll be at download mode, then use odin.

Do you have an Odin download link? The Odin link on the site isn't good anymore and google isn't helping
here's an alternative link I've used:
http://www.mediafire.com/?0w2y31maz8mdom4
I appreciate the help so far and the Odin link. I managed to get Odin downloaded. I managed to get my phone in download mode. However, Odin is not registering that there is any phone. Normally I'd see a COM but nothing is showing up.
I started by running Odin.
Then got my phone in download mode.
I can't get any farther.
Do you have the drivers installed on your PC ? I also read somewhere where you have to have the latest net frame work as well...If you do...you might have a bad usb cord...and here in St.Louis..there are a lot of AT&T stores you can get one..
Mac
Well, on the original thread that had the link for Odin has the 32/64 Samsung drivers. I downloaded the drivers zip file to the desktop of the laptop.
One thing I find strange is usually when I plug in the phone to my laptop with the USB cable, the option to view files, etc pops up. It is not on this laptop.

Did you install the drivers then ? Sometimes my wife's Samsung laptop does that..and not install anything going to the desktop..If everything is loaded correctly..you 2 drive pop up windows should open..
Also (I'm sure it is) make sure usb debugging is checked on your phone..
Sometimes the most simplest things keeps things from working correctly..
Phone unplugged..in normal mode..usb debugging checked..do not mount phone..
Close Odin
Open Odin
Plug phone in
Put phone into download mode...click start...not master clear...

Odin is also finnicky about USB ports. If you are on a desktop machine, try using one in the back instead of the front, or if you have multiple sets, try using a different one. I've had Odin not recognize certain USB ports but recognize others before.
Finally, I suspect you already know this, but for sanity's sake make sure you start both the PC and phone up fresh after reboots, open Odin, then connect the phone. Connecting the phone first breaks Odin.

What OS are you running? Are you explicitly starting odin in administrator mode (right-click->run as administrator)?
Okay, so I switched USB ports and it suddenly recognized and it started to download drivers. But it was listed as a gadget Serial and no drivers found. Geez this would be so much easier if I was at home where the laptop is set up with everything instead of being several states away.
Okay, so apparently I do not have the correct drivers installed. I really appreciate all the help so far. At this point, should I just google Samsung Captivate drivers or does someone have a link handy?
I can't get to my debugging as the phone stays on teh AT&T boot screen. I did have it enabled before I left OKC though.
I've gotten teh Samsung modem software successfully installed.

I know. Flying from OKC to St. Louis and then from St. Louis to Baltimore with a several hour layover has me exhausted and not thinking clearly.
I did manage to reboot it and Phoenix came up. All drivers were showing ready except for ADB and then the phone shut down and ADB said phone was unplugged.
I feel like I'm making headway but just not there.
And why is it I'm staying in an expensive hotel and you still have to pay for net? Geez
I downloaded the 64bit drivers. Ran the exe file.
Extracted Odin and have run it as an administrator
Put the phone in download mode.
Odin is still not seeing anything.
NM....pop up box just said taht device driver software not successfully installed. I think I'm going to hit my head against the wall for a bit.

VERIZON ONLY Revert to stock GUIDE [UPDATED]

Hey folks. I had a lot of trouble with the main Go Back to stock thread for VZW.
Mostly because of FlashTool and the fact I am on windows 8.
CLICK HERE FOR THE KDZ METHOD IF THIS ONE GIVES YOU ISSUES
This guide should work for anyone on Verizon. And the methods may be good for other variants though
DO NOT USE THESE FILES if you are not verizon!

Download and INSTALL LG Flash Tool 1.8 [UPDATED]: WACOMalt Mirror | MJS Mirror
Download this DLL file: WACOMalt Mirror | MJS Mirror

bweN diorD's download link post in case the links in this thread break again. Thanks bweN diorD!
MAKE SURE TO VALIDATE THE DOWNLOADED FILE with the md5 hashes listed under the links you followed for the tots.
You can use this to check It will add a tab to the Propterties" window for any file. Check that your MD5 matches the ones pertaining to your downloads. There is an MD5 listed for each download for the zip file, and for the tot included in the zip. If the TOT MD5 matches then you are fine. We only included the zip MD5s so you can quickly check as soon as you finish downloading. Repeat: MAKE SURE THE TOT FILE's MD5 MATCHES THE ONE LISTED UNDER THE LINK FOR "tot file md5". If it does, you are good to proceed.

1) Go ahead and put phone in Download mode by VolUp + plug in USB to PC. At this time your computer should install the device, if it hadnt already. Open device manager to check if un der "Ports (Com and LPT)" it shows up as LGE AndroidNet for VZW USB Serial Port (COM##) IF the COM number is anything other than 41, which it probably will be. Right click it in device manager and choose peroperties, then go to port settings tab and click advanced. On the bottom choose COM41 and hit OK. (if you get an error about it being in use I'll write more about that later)
hit ok and all that and close out the properties.
2) Open LG Flash Tool
You may get a menu asking ??? Korean something, choose that one hit OK.
Now in here you have to choose "Select Manual Mode" checkbox on top then on the top DLL box choose the "LGVS980_20130902_LGFLASHv151.dll" we saved earlier, then in the S/W box click add and choose your TOT file. MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE ITS THE RIGHT ONE
Then hit OK.
3) Now click the yellow arrow in the top left of the main window. It will prepare and maybe give a milky way error (seriously) ignore it until it says finished, or ready.
4) Now unplug your phone, power off and then go back into download mode again, volUp+USB. It should immediately connect and start flashing.
It will restart around 83% and then you are done!
if you red light is flashing on phone just unplug and hold middle power until it either boots or turns off so you can turn it back on.
Done!

I want to stress that this guide was written with only Verizon variant in mind, while it may work for others Id appreciate not flooding this thread with requests about other variants.
Yes, this guide can be useful for them, but stuff will be different. I don't know what, and I don't care. Please don't post in this topic if you have issues with another variant, you can always start a new post, or join another one for that.
IF you wish to request me to write a guide for your variant, then please acquire links to all required resources, tell me what's different, and I'll put together a guide for you. Until that happens, no off-topic posts in here PLEASE.
Trying this out right now. Really fast download speeds, thanks so much! I am doing this to get rid of the Chinese root and try the new one. Then I'm gonna uninstall/debloat TO THE MAX because I know I can always go back to stock
EDIT: Everything went smoothly, and quickly too. Settings says "unrooted" but not for long hehe.
Worked like a charm, thanks for the good stuff.
This is the error that is ok to get?
"MilkyWay Control Port open fail"
Didn't work for me.
Using Windows 7. On device manager, it just says LG Phone. Not LGE AndroidNet for VZW USB Serial Port (COM##).
And I can't install the drivers; when I indicate the file the drivers are in, it says nothing is found.
Even though that step didn't work, I went ahead and continued with the steps. The LG Flash tool stuff worked. After "Ready", I unplugged the phone, but it stayed in "Firmware Update" mode. I long-pressed the power button and it powered on. I then turned it off, went back into download mode, and it's not flashing anything.
There is also no "port settings tab" in the device manager for the LG Android Phone.
And when I click on the LG Android Phone in device manager, under drivers, it says there are none installed. I tried installing the driver in MTP mode, but it says all drivers are up to date.
I'm gonna sound like a pain, but does anyone possibly have the ROMs tot file hosted somewhere else? Both host sites are blocked for me while at work. No prob if they arent, I'll just wait till later. Thought I'd ask.

You should be in download mode when installing the drivers, and install from the EXE, dont install from device manager, unless you want to extract the EXE's contents and find the driver ini files, that wont work.
Also if it still fails on you, right click the LG phone in device manager, and choose uninstall, reboot, install EXE, then plug in phone directly in download mode. And tell me what happens. I'll try to help ya out. Maybe join #lg-g2 on freenode to get some more help?

I dont think it's anything for you to worry about. My work blocks a lot of hosting sites. However, the reason just says "Uncategorized"
Good thing is that theres a button I didnt realize before that bypasses the block...

So were you able to get the files? If not, I can copy them to another of my servers for you.

Turn your phone off. Then hold vol. up as you plug in a usb cable. This will send you to download mode, and the proper device should show in device manager.
GREAT job on making up these instructions on the fly like that bro. I got tired last night and did it this morning instead. Instructions were absolutely perfect. :good:

You should be in download mode when installing the drivers, and install from the EXE, dont install from device manager, unless you want to extract the EXE's contents and find the driver ini files, that wont work.
Also if it still fails on you, right click the LG phone in device manager, and choose uninstall, reboot, install EXE, then plug in phone directly in download mode. And tell me what happens. I'll try to help ya out. Maybe join #lg-g2 on freenode to get some more help?

Regardless if you have USB debugging on or off if you plug up to your PC in download mode you can use the LG PC SUITE software that comes on your phone, or download it from lg, to revive your phone.
You'll need your PC connected to the internet for this
Just put in download mode
Plug into PC
Open pc suite
At the top click mobile devices tab
In drop down click "restore upgrade error"
If it doesn't recognize your phone you will need your serial number and your device model number I.e D959, D950, D955, D958, etc.
Sit back and relax this takes about 10 mins
This is the only method I use now to restore my device. Works like a charm for me.
when the phone is softbricked and usb debugging is off you cant install all drivers my friend.and phone no connected with anything.thanks for your intresting

Yes. There is a folder on your c:\program data\lg ....something or other folder. go into it and into mobile phone folder I think its called. I'm not in front of my PC right now. But you'll find the folder you need in there. Just put the stock .kdz file in there. It must be the same version or newer than you're on. Or was on when it bricked.
I've even actually pulled the .kdz files from there after I used PC suite the first couple of times. Used them in the lg flash tool.

I've noticed, by accident, when I did the factory reset method \ steps to get into twrp, but for some reason twrp wasn't installed and it actually reset my phone.... And caused it to boot loop due to what ever i did to FUBAR it. Factory reset defaults USB debugging back to off but when in download mode it didn't stop PC suite from "restoring upgrade errors" and flashing my flex back to stock. I've used it so much I now make sure my PC at work has it and the .kdz on it. My laptop has it and I have a flash drive in my truck with PC suite & .kdz on it. Lmao. Yeah I get a little ballsy sometimes and try just about anything. OK a lot but I always have a way back now.
my friend try this with pc suite and it stop in 0%.not run.and my interner connection is very good.why?
I have no clue. Try different usb cable if you don't have the one the one that came with it. I've noticed my flex and nexus 7 don't like some cheaper no name brand cables when transferring files or using adb. They seem to be fine with just charging. I use mostly my usb cable that came with my moto razr hd maxx. Only cuz it stays connected in the micro end better. And I have no clue what happened to the original.
Also make sure you have the latest LG drivers installed.
Sometimes to get the old "offline method" to work I would have to make sure no Samsung drivers were installed or Motorola drivers, Kies, or moto device manager. If any were I would have to uninstall them and the LG drivers. Restart Windows. And re install the latest LG drivers.
So not sure what exactly did the trick but I did all of it just to make sure and something helped. Try that. Don't plug in your flex till after LG drivers are installed and you have restarted Windows. I don't know but seems like what ever sequence or install or uninstall of drivers I've done now works all the time. Before we got bump I would go from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 a couple times a week just to fool around a few days till something I modified or themed would bootloop me and I would get passed and go back to 4.2.2 and swear I'm not leaving JB till we have a custom recovery on KK. But my A.D.D. would get the better of me and I ,..... oh yeah I gotta run get some,.... oh never mind I'll .... huh oh yeah my A.D.D. it causing crack flashing syndrome. Lmao
I am on F340K Rooted Stock recovery Kitkat 4.4.2 V20D.
after changing my build.prop I forgot to set permissions.
Now I am unable to fix permissions through adb... although I succesfully Pushed the Original backup file from my PC..
I have two backups of Build.prop in my phone also.. One in system directory with the name of Build.prop.bak and 2nd is external sd card.
please advise me what to do?. I can access phone though Volume+Power = LG service Manaual (which is shown in ADB as Recovery device)
whereas Original Stock recovery Volume down+Power have an Android Logo with Red Triangle...
Is there a way I can install/ Push Some custome recovery Like Freedom Flex Bumped cwm or twrp to my phone? Fixing permissions through ADB Operation not Permitted or Permission denied error

Secure booting error 1003

So I think I may have bricked my phone unless I can get the H811 20i KDZ file but even that may not be good enough to save it. I'll start with where I am currently at. On boot I get the error:
Secure booting error!
Error code: 1003
Modified
I am able to get into download mode by pressing the up volume key or into the wipe mode by pressing the down volume key. However, no matter what I try I can't seem to get it to reboot normally.
Here is what I did to get myself into this situation:
I stepped through the guide to install MM and then I performed the fastboot OEM unlock and booted into TWRP. I then installed SuperSU and rebooted. Then for reasons unknown I decided I would relock the boot loader and so I ran the command fastboot oem lock. I fully understand the stupidity of that thought now but didn't think very clearly at the time.
Here is what I have tried:
Using the LG Support Tool I attempted an Upgrade Recovery which failed.
Using the guide on here to return to stock I attempted the method using the kdz file for h811 10n but that fails at the upgrading your phone with the error message "Upgrade stopped due to an error". I have attempted the retry button numerous times without any change in responses.
At this point in time I am game to try anything.
:fingers-crossed:
Thanks to autoprime I am now downloading the kdz for MM and when it is complete I will attempt to use LGUP to restore it.
Well I get an error message from LGUP stating that I don't have the correct DLL for H81120i installed. I attempted to replace the dll with the one inside the MM kdz but that didn't work.

Oh I wish it were that simple. I had tried it last night but attempted it again as I couldn't remember what happened. I get an error message stating "Connect your mobile device to the USB port. If it is already connected, contact LG customer service."
At this point I think I may just need the MM dll to use with LGUP. I attempted to use an MSI packaging utility to replace the dll in the 0.0.3.23 installer with the dll I extracted from the kdz file but that got me nowhere.
I attempted to use the LG FlashTool v1.8 and found out that the dll that I extracted is ver 0.0.3.21 which is older than the msi version found on here. Does anyone know how to get a newer one?

I had the same error and sucessfully used lgbridge. You probably need to reinstall your usb drivers.
OK I'll give that a shot.
No go...
I uninstalled anything I could find related to LG. I then reinstalled the LG Bridge software which then updated the USB drivers to 4.0.4. I then rebooted my computer and attempted it again and I got nothing but the same error.

I had this exact same issue when upgrading my phone. Didn't do it correctly and it took me about 3 hours before I got my phone working again. It was about a week ago on another computer, but I'll try to recall what I did when it finally clicked in my mind.
Download H81120i_00_0201.kdz flashable zip from here (1.6GB Feb-04-16):

Download LGUP and install it. I used the DropBox link in this thread:

Remember to install the LGUP_8994_DLL file BEFORE LGUP_Install

Step 4: Under the "Process" row, select UPGRADE
Step 5: Click the blank space under File Path, it will pop up a [...] [X] at the end. Click the [...].
Step 6: Select the H81120i_00_0201.kdz and click on Start. The program will push the STOCK H811 MM ROM to your phone. This will bring your phone out of Brick mode, but you will have to go through the entire rooting process again.

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I changed two things and I'm not certain which one it was that finally made it work but I followed your steps and installed the LGUP_DLL before the application (upon re-reading the original thread for the LGUP program I see that is the way you were supposed to do it the whole time, so much for reading comprehension) and the other was I ran it from a Win 7 VM instead of Win 10.
Big thanks to you and also to bender_007 for walking me through a bunch of stuff and recommending the VM approach.
I did the exact same thing, but I cannot get LGUP to recognize my device. Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and all. Any other ideas?
I did the following:
Installed Windows 7 in a VM
Installed the LG Bridge software and ran in do it should update
Installed the LGUP DLL
Installed the LGUP software
Connected phone to VM
Then ran LGUP tool

first of all, how can we make PC detect our G4?
actually, even w/o any drive installed in PC, the PC should detect G4 if it works normally.
Device Manager shows my device, but as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port". From what I have read this may be it's bricked mode. Is there anyone with an idea on how to come back from this?

I had this exact error yesterday. I used cdmatool to get some bands enabled so I could get AT&T LTE with an AT&T sim and T-Mobile phone. All went well, and on my way out I figured since I had done the fastboot oem unlock, I should probably relock it. BAD IDEA.
By the time I found this article I had figured that somehow I needed to reflash to a ROM with a unmodified bootloader. This article is great! Such a rare treasure - all of the links to the necessary software and a short-but-sweet guide all in one. This post saved me hours, maybe days, of searching and trial-and-error.
By the way, since I had already installed the LG device drivers (available here) it was not necessary to download and install the whole LG Bridge.
THANKS!
Many times tried to flash my H811 to 20i but always ended with blank screen...is it have to wait until 5 to 10 minutes to get the phone rebooted after flashing with LGUP? Because usually ended with blank screen and qd mode, have to revive using qfil, imei unknown, camera and google play store always closes.

Totally screwed- Secure boot: 1003 error message and cant boot into twrp/fla recovery

If anyone has been paying attention to any of my threads you'd know i've been having a horrible time trying to get my LG G4 to work. After much trouble of not being able to connect my phone to the computer via download mode ( driver wont start , code 10) my cyanogenmod recovery magically allowed me to install the supersu zip to root the system, and finally the global root access option in cm13 worked which enabled me to install an app and flash twrp. From here I was able to download prometheus rom, and install it from twrp because the cm recovery kept giving me errors., ran smoothly.. was able to get all of my downloaded apps retrieved via google. I reboot the phone this morning after deleting some un wanted apps I had now i'm getting ' secure boot error 1003" and will not boot past the Lg screen. I am really at a lost here and would appreciate it if someone would take the time out to help me. Now I am totally screwed because I cant get windows to install the download mode driver correctly as there is a yellow exclamation mark next "LGE Android MTP device" with a code 10. That is important because adb/fastboot wont recognize the device unless this driver is running and working. I mean sheesh ive tried this on three computers and cant get this da*n driver to install, really? am i seriously missing something? lg software wont even recognize my phone unless its in download mode and even then, will fail to run because * the device can not start* so the software shuts down
Please, help. and if any suggestions, please provide tutorials to back it up.

This happened to me last night. I tried to "relock" the bootloader. I had to put the phone in download mode, and recover using LG bridge. I found several different ways to accomplish the download mode listed but only one worked., i believe it was here. http://www.androidexplained.com/lg-g4-how-to-boot-into-download-mode/

Instead of using the KDZ files, I used lg bridge. Once i was actually in download mode, and lg bridge recognized my phone, i went the the software update tab and clicked on the error recovery, the tool downloaded the proper rom, installed in and I was back to stock, no root.
Take the cover off of your battery, have a good usb cable handy. I had to remove the battery, hold the buttons and start over several times before I got it to work, but I did.
Good luck.

Remember to install the LGUP_8994_DLL file BEFORE LGUP_Install
Download and install LG Bridge (for the USB drivers) here:
http://www.lg.com/uk/support/pc-suite
Select the LG 815 model, the drivers will work. I only used the LG Bridge to install the USB drivers. Nothing else.
OK, now here's where your phone comes in.
Step 1: Turn off your phone (pull the battery if you must, but put it back in).
Step 2: Hold the VOLUME UP button and plug the USB cable into your PC. This puts your phone into DOWNLOAD MODE.
Step 3: On your PC, open up LGUP. The program shoud recognize the phone as H811 in COM3 or COM4. Highlight it and click the SELECT button.
Good luck.
