I just rooted my stock N7000ZSKK1 Hong Kong ROM and ready for updating to newest ROM.
I noticed there are so many files under "Latest Not Directly Rootable" ROM section. Despite they are all marked as 2.3.6, some have a newer date than other. Now, which file should I install for United States? Does the N7000CPWLB2 / United Kingdom (March 2012) out perform N7000OZSLA2 / Hong Kong (Jan 2012)? Better battery life maybe?
Many thanks in advance
The latest firmware is LC1.

N7000CPWLB2 is actually N7000XXLC1 United Kingdom (Carphone Warehouse), isn't it? CPWLB2 denotes its CSC and radio version.
Latest Firmware
LC2 is out now
Thanks everyone. I am on LC1 open Europe now and everything seems fine

Any difference between this version and N7000XXLA6_N7000OXELA1_SER?
Still busy downloading... Don't have hotfile premium, but I doubt there is gonna be much, if any difference.

Same Question
I don't get it, why to have the stock ROM thread in Development section eh? Nothing was developed here so it should be in General section.

Umm, so why is there a sticky on stock roms in the dev section. I am sure if a mod wants to move it, rest assured they will...
Maybe all these release is bug fix for different operator

We've had it like that since at least 2006.... besides you can have a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18798766&postcount=1
I installed the Hong Kong LA2, and its pretty much all the good bits from LA4.
It does seem to be pretty snappy right off the bat with the stock kernel, although the touch screen sensitivity seems to have gone to pot. Easy fix though.
Think I will rest with this until ICS comes, maybe with Abyss for the CMW recovery.
So for example, the one from Emirate is not last one because it is LA2 ... the last one is LA4 like the one from Germany right?
Well, the numbers don't mean much. The emirates one is essentially LA4, but customised for UAE region and operator. I.e. Languages, keyboards, and possibly an appropriate modem
An example is the LA2 Hong Kong ROM includes all the features on LA4, but includes the Chinese language options and keyboards
hkgrob,
Following the thread that I wrote (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356325), newer versions should be at least LA7 (we have had LA6 Serbian verion posted a day or two ago) or LBsomething. Any other version would not add anything to the system itself but probably correct some local issues.
Maybe including this correction on an LA6 or newer system would be nice then
Thanks @The_Steph, good thread. My explanation to ashkan was possibly over simplified.
My experience in flashing to the latest Hong Kong firmware just to test, is that it is essentially LA4 localized.
Lets hope these are the last firmwares for GB... Samsung seems to have been busy over the last few days
Side note, I think your code for Hong Kong in the thread is incorrect, as it should be ZS, not ZC
The I9305 firmware update for the TGY (Hong Kong) region just came out...so I updated...only to find it is 4.1.1 still...but all other I9305 and I9300 updates are going to 4.1.2 ... why did Hong Kong get 4.1.1 again? Any ideas why this happens?
it's a carrier thing. they were working on a 4.1.1 base not a 4.1.2 base.. just means they're slow or there's something in 4.1.2 they didn't like.
random.. its not a typo is it? well the changelig is completely different too so i wouldn't be surprised. question is, does it have the premium suite features?
That's just the thing any firmware release in Hong Kong is not linked to a specific carrier by law. However, the I9305 is a little different because it has LTE and only one provider in Hong Kong, 中国移动 has LTE so they are the only who carry the phone...but still unbranded. How do I check if it has the premium suite? Since it is 4.1.1 I cannot see this being possible? Is there any other I9305 4.1.2 stock release capable of Chinese localization? Thanks!

Innis,
Your information "only one provider in Hong Kong, 中国移动 has LTE" is WRONG.
Most provider in Hong Kong have LTE. You can only say that the update release from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 will be done by region one by one but not all at the same time. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Cowboy, you are right...there are 5 providers in HK that have LTE... when I visited HK from China I was told only 中国移动 had it because that is what I have in China. My mistake. The firmware you list from SamMobile is incorrect...I have already tried contacting SamMobile about their error. If you install that firmware listed it will still say 4.1.1 as does the new release this morning. Taiwan and China also got the 4.1.1 update with their I9300. I guess the only option is the Singapore release to get 4.1.2 with Chinese localization at this point...IF that gets released to 4.1.2.
I also got the same thing with my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9305 which I bought from ebay and it has the Hong Kong version (Baseband version I9305ZHALI2 & Build number I9305ZHBLL3) (Unrooted) with android 4.1.1 and when I connected my s3 I9305 to my laptop through the Samsung Kies it told me there is new update for my phone's frimware so I did that and every thing was fine but when I checked my phone the version is still 4.1.1 so I don't know what does that mean ?

Still not sure myself. But I know HK got 4.1.1 originally a month after everyone else...so that means we should get 4.1.2 in February!!

Yeah its only a minor firmware update (16.--mb) to increase stability on 4.1.1, not a major update like 4.1.2. That should come pretty soon.
Yeah, there is 4.1.2 for other countries(I just saw that on SamMobile.
It wrote that Hong Kong has already had 4.1.2 , I'm sure it's a typing mistake.
Take a look at my attachment to see what I've seen.

Sammobile has been wrong about 4.1.2 since December (I have emailed them about this) ... all other repository Samsung sites list is as 4.1.1 NOT 4.1.2. So far no TGY firmwares on any Samsung device has been 4.1.2. I REALLY want 4.1.2 with Chinese localization and TGY is the only way! Except maybe MM1 (Singapore) but their localization is a little different than with Mainland China... hopefully TGY goes 4.1.2 soon... if you look at the most updated firmwares for I9305... you will see that TGY is updated more frequently than others...
Did anyone get the update to 4.1.2 for the TGY ???

No 4.1.2 TGY on any Samsung device yet. But there is hope... Hong Kong, China and Taiwan use the same build... and all are on 4.1.1 but yesterday Taiwan got 4.1.2 for the I9300. So hopefully it will be soon!

Dear Colleague,
Other than the stock rom, you may consider to have the custom rom by WanamLite XXBLL5 V1.1 of which have
+Enabled all supported languages
+Multi CSC (+124)
and they should be closed to TGY

Hi,
A piece of advice is required from the experts please. I am currently on cm9, my baseband is XXLRK.
1) If i restore the backup through CWM of my official 4.04, will I be able to get official update notification through KIES or OTA? or once I've rooted and changed ROM, i will have to continue flashing the required ROMS and can never get OTA update?
2) If i have to continue flashing please advice that with baseband of XXLRK which of the below Stock JB ROM is most suitable for me to download and flash via CWM (official JB for XXLRK isnt available yet i believe)?
N7000JPLSB N7000OJPLSA - Algeria
N7000DDLSC N7000ODDLSC - India
N7000DDLSC N7000ODDLSC - Srilanka
N7000DDLSC N7000ODDLSC - Nepal
N7000DDLSC N7000ODDLSC - Bangladesh
N7000XXLSZ N7000XENLS4 - Netherlands
N7000JPLSB N7000OJPLSA - United Arab Emirates
N7000XXLSZ N7000OXELS7 - Russia
N7000UBLSF N7000UUBLSF - Trinidad and Tobago
N7000XXLSZ N7000ITVLS4 - Italy
N7000XXLSZ N7000OXALSZ - - Germany
N7000ZSLM5 N7000OZSLM5 - Hong Kong
N7000ZSLM5 N7000OZSLM5 - Taiwan
Thanx a lot in advance and sorry if this was already discussed. I searched forums but couldn't find answer.
For updates with KIES or OTA you only need to install a Stock Rom with PC Odin (N7000JPLR seems to be the latest for Pakistan).
Today the official JB release for Bangladesh came out, so Pakistan may be only a few days away.
I would wait for it and then install this stock Rom with PC Odin.
U mean to say i can load any stock Rom regardless my baseband is XXLRK? I m in pak but i think XXLRK is german or uk. Cz i got this set frm UK
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
you can flash rom from any region.. most of the stock roms come with modem.. so it will change the baseband to the one included in the rom,..

Hey all,
I've a Galaxy S10 (SM-G973F) and I'm with Vodafone Ireland - I recently flashed it with a custom rom (Lineage 17.1) and wasn't too pleased with it so I've decided to go back to stock.
I haven't been able to find a stock rom for Vodafone Ireland, only 3 Ireland. I tried flashing the below 3 stock roms found on SAMMobile (https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s10/firmware/#SM-G973F) but the only issue I have is when I make a call my number shows up as private regardless if I set the caller ID to network default/show.
Ireland (Three) (3IE)
United Kingdom (Vodafone) (VOD)
United Kingdom / Ireland (XEU)
Can someone confirm what stock rom I should use please?
As always, stay safe everyone
