[Q] Wifi Dropouts

since #143 I found about every 2 min the WIFI will reconnect.
Anyone found fix for WiFi dropouts?

How is your system space?

I have heard that a possible fix is to run a 2.6.38.8 custom kernel. I loaded one last night, but won't be able to check the wifi until I get home from work later today.

[Q] Wi-Fi Problem

I've installed on my X8 Froyo Pro v01 for X8 (Revised from FroyoBread) from XDA-RK. The rom works fine except that im having a problem with the wi-fi. In his features he says "Wi-Fi "n" Standard enabled" and when i tried to connect to my router after the installation of the rom the router actually crashed! No connection was warking even with ethernet. I've tried this a couple times (by restarting the router) but without luck. What i did in order to make it work and connect to wireless is that i change the wi-fi in the router to use mixed mode for B/G devices. I was wondering if there's a way to disable the N setting in X8 or do something else in order to make it work.

That's what I did to make it work actually as I said. I had to change the wifi mode to work for Mixed Mode B/G devices only. Previously was on Mixed Mode (B/G/N devices).
When I used Froyobread 0.23b the wifi was working perfectly without changing anything in the router. I think it has to do with the "N standard" feauture that was added on Froyopro but im not sure. I've searched if there was an option to disable it but either i cant find or it doesnt exist (for now at least).

Search forum fie tweaks! There is a tweak for enabling n standard so you can disable it

never experienced it.. im using edimax btw... try deleting the remembered configure and make new configurations

did you make a full wipe after installing the Rom?

Yes I always do a full wipe when changing roms for these kind of problems. I'll check the tweak so i can disable N standard

You mean the configure on my X8? Cause I did and still nothing :/

I`m also having WiFi issues with this Rom.
Beside that, I really like this one. Great battery life!
But I need to get WiFi working.
Any suggestions?
I have tried everithing, but the wifi continues the same, poor and intermittent connection.
Tried with home, work and public networks, the same.

Actually I managed to disable the N standard option of the WiFi and now it works fine with no issues. Search the thread how to enable N standard WiFi.

wifi on lockscreen

hi guys,
is it possible to set the wifi on while telephone goes on standby? it just drives me mad that everytime that i have a notice from internet, it never finds the connection on first attempt

Did you set wifi sleep policy to never ? It is advqnce option of wifi menu in settings

If this don't work, you can install wifi fixer from the play store. It does its work well

WiFi problem

Hi guys. ..I am using CM with locked bootloader along with stock .266 kernel. My WiFi range is very good, but often my WiFi gets disconnected.. WiFi menu is shows that there is enough signal, but still it is not connecting . If I leave the phone idle for 5 minutes, it automatically reconnects..
What is the solution for this problem?

Wifi issues

Hi! After update my phone a few days ago, I have problems with wifi. Sometimes I can't find my home wifi and when I find it, it is very slow for some reason.
I have DT. GRC 8.1.0.4 (lt)
Any suggestions?

0-1 Mps upload
It was up and down all the time, not steady number, sometimes stucks to zero for a couple of seconds
With other phone I have
30 download
5,5 upload
Something happen with the phone
I justice notice that on 5ghz wifi works perfects (50 Mps) with 2,4ghz I have problem

2 days later it fixed itself.
Don't know the reason, anyway all ok

To be honest I sometimes find the WiFi a bit unresponsive, also in cosmote network myself.
Lately I also see the 4g+ sign to be present along with the WiFi, a bit weird as well..

Are you missing all other unconnected networks in your wifi list?
Try to toggle WiFi search option for location service.
This helped me to get my wifi work again.
