TouchOSC on Nook Color - Nook Color General

Maybe some of you have heard about TouchOSC made by Hexler.
I'm trying to get this to work on my Nook Color with latest CM9 build. It refuses to connect to my laptop via my router and I have tried many wpa-supplicant patches, but ad-hoc does not work either. Does anyone know of a solution or possible alternative? The only similar app I've been able to map on Traktor Pro is TouchDAW (via ADB).

[Q] Wired tethering on OSX

I've searched and searched, and I hope that someone has figured this out.
Has anyone tethered their Captivate to a Mac? USB tether only please. I know of Wifi tethering, but I like to enjoy my battery when I am done with my laptop.
I have it working in WinXP with Kies, but I would like to get it working on my Mac.
Thanks
Unfortunately, my snow leopard device is DOA right now, so I can't test it, but I think it should be as simple as plugging it in through USB when you have "PC Internet" chosen as your USB settings. I know it works instantly on Linux (without any drivers) and on windows with the drivers installed.
According to most references, a mac doesn't require any sort of "drivers" or kexts to get our phone compatible with it, so I would suggest just plugging it in and disabling your other connections to check
no go, it finds it as a modem, but won't connect... I found something online that said to add settings here and there, but it still isn't working...
Yes, it works on my Mac computer. Either you can configure it with complicated settings without any other software, or you can use PDAnet. You can get it on the market but it is censored by AT&T so you will need market enabler or be in airport mode with the wifi on

[Q] Does anyone use JoikuSpot?

Hello everyone!
Joikuspot is s tool for making your phones into a hotspot and connect another device with the internet via WiFi trough the phone.
Does anyone try to do that with Gtablet?
I've tried that with Nokia 5800. My laptop works with that well but my Gtablet can't connect with the phone because Gtablet can’t find it.
Please advise which problem there can be?
Thanks
I use JoikuSpot from a Nokia n900. Have you setup adhoc wifi on the Gtab (or use one of the ROMs that do this)?
gtab with nokia 5800 wifi
Could not get the gtab to connection to joikuspot 2.2 until I installed TnT 4.4
I found out that problem in missing ad hoc network. I don't have it. Which soft do you use for ad hoc network simulating? Or what?
I use it on my Nokia E7. The tablet finds it just fine.
whats that app? can i download it in the market?

So I want a VPN to my home system

I want my nook to be able to stream video from my home system. I have a dynamic dns setup. I thought my firewall had vpn support but it apparently only has vpn passthrough support.
What windows software is compatible with software on the NC?
Running CM7 nightly 40 ATM. Dalingrin's 4/18C kernel.
Have you tried OpenVPN? It should work well with the Nook Color from what I have read in these forums. The devices for it are built in to Dalingren's Kernels. I personally use OpenVPN to VPN to my home network and it works great though I haven't tried connecting with the Nook Color yet but it is on my list of things to try. I have OpenVPN support built in to my router firmware, I run a customized version of the Tomato Firmware on my Asus router, it also has Dyndns.org support built in so I can always connect regardless of the IP address. Works great when I went to do some remote admin work on my machines at home, mostly the linux boxes.

Yep. I noticed VLC has support for that, so that is where I started. I'm going to spend some time on it over my break. I have all the software installed, but I haven't configured anything yet.
I hope to be able to access home pc files, stream video to my cellphone or tablet (I got VLC stream and convert working on both now!! ), and maybe do some other super-secret-squirrel stuff.
Thanks for the info. I'll do a guide in my "Things I Learned" thread when I've got a firm grasp on things.

Tether half-bright JAVA phone via bt?

I'm wondering how much if any of my half-bright-phone's hardware could be tethered to my NC, and how. The SE-W760 has 3G, GPS, a solid camera, and of course a mic. Hell, it has better speakers than the NC. Sony Ericsson has Windows software that makes it ridiculously easy to tether with an ordinary (non-tethering, non-smartphone) data plan, but understandably for what was originally a phone OS, I haven't found any apps that support tethering TO an Android device.
The devices connect stably via bt, but they can't do anything. Does anyone know an app for the NC and/or a JAVA app for the phone that might work?
ETA: Well, they can do a bit. The phone can 'remote control' the NC, which is worth a laugh, and push files to it but not receive them from it, which may come in handy some day.
There is an app called nc tether in android development forum and in market too but it wont work if your nook fails to send files to your phone.
I am having the same problem my nook can send files to some devices but not to my and several other phones that i tried, so essentially its the nooks bluetooth's fault.
You can expect it to get better with the new driver that they are building for the newer kernel or in the end you will just have to find a wifi phone.

For < $10 you can get usb wifi directly from your pc. Makes more sense imo -> http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref...words=usb+wifi+adapter&ie=UTF8&qid=1418427139
I tested easytether app and it will not see my nook hd+ with cm11 m12 whereas adb does see the device and works too. With my phone, easytether found that right away. So I would think something is disabled in the kernel, but could be wrong despite the fact that tethering is obviously missing from android settings and that means something.
Finally I've managed usb tethering via nook hd
I used PDAnet+ app on both pc and nook hd. It installed ADB drivers and with simple setup I was able to share internet connection.
