hi there.
I got the i9001 galaxy.
I was wondering, can I put the IMUI rom for i9000 on my i9001
will it fit? or I need a special rom?
No no no no no.
Don't even think about it.
I9001 Galaxy S Plus and I9000 Galaxy S have different completely different internal hardware. Trying to flash a I9000 rom over a I9001 will more than likely brick it. Only use roms that says "for I9001".
My cousin tried this..and now he has a very fashion brick
DON'T TRY THIS..NEVER!!

Hi All,
I saw on samfirmware.com the rom for i9023 (european Nexus S), which has 2.3.3.
Is it possible to flash this rom directly on my Galaxy S (i9000)?
Thanks all
If you want a 500 euro brick sure Otherwise nop, the roms are not compatible
Don't Even Think About It
Hello folks how are you all ?
I have a Samsung SGH-I559 which is a CDMA variant of the Galaxy Mini (called galaxy pop here in India)
The phone is running 2.2 froyo and the baseband version is I5599DDED05
I was wondering whether I can flash the wonderful Roms out here on my phone
I think as my phone is CDMA, flashing the modem could be a problem.. So could be bootloaders ?
But flashing the factoryfs.rfs shouldn't be a problem if I keep the kernel and modem unchanged right ?
I really need all your help on this
Devs please reply
Cheers !!
Bump!!!

Hello, i'm thinking on getting the galaxy s plus i9001 (i think it's called).
My question is: Is the roms and other developer software from the i9000 compatible with the i9001?
Thank you
No, Roms are not compatible, although these are two very similar phones.
I am sure that you allready found answer, but because of new members, this question should not remain unanswered.
Hi,
I'm new to the Galaxy S+ and was wondering whether the ROMs available for the generic Galaxy S (I9000) also work for the GS+ (I9001)?
Thanks
short answer: No.
Your phone wil crash if you do that
yes it will brick but here is a list where you can find roms and more for the SGS+
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1409605
it will probably full brick your phone, so it is as usable like a stone ^^
btw: (rhyme xD)
no you can't, only if u plan buildin a house, and you need one brick more
Hi, first off im a noob when it comes to this stuff so try to be patient with me
I recently rooted my SGAce S5830-D And put CWM on it, everything went fine.
Then I went to flash it to ICS 4.0.3 And the installation aborted and I soft bricked my phone >.>
I just flashed it back to Gingerbread 2.3.4 and I was wondering.
Is there a difference between Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and the S5830D in terms of what you flash it with?
Id rather not brick my phone again so I came here to make sure.
Also, if you could provide a link to a ROM that would work for my model that you know works 100% please do would be
very helpful, thanks in advance.
Galaxy Ace S5830 and S5830-D are very different models. You cant (and should not ) install S5830 ROM's on your phone. It will get brciked again.
