ROM: PrimeHD 6.0
Kernel: Alf v08 no-fps cap
compcache: 18% or swap (with swappiness 40)

Rom: MiniCM 2.2.0
Kernel nAa 11
maybe not the best performance but it the most stable for me
(sorry for the bad english)
ginger dx v24.Stock kernel.
Screenshot of antutu score.
Test done without killing any apps, and without turning airplane mode on and without overclocking and swap. Smooth...
edit: don't know why but there seem to be errors when i upload the screen. Anyhow, my score is....1600 (exact), low because of ram (using some apps while testing) and sd read&write (having the standard sd that came with the phone).
I have stock kernel.
And for me
PrimeHD V6.0 tops the list followed by GingerDx V024 followed by GingerXperia , which in turn followed by Froyopro which again is followed by Froyobread. :O
People say LiuXperia is best for gaming. But haven't tried that out

Ginger DX is very good, used it a long time, but want a little performance boost by changing the kernel. But I have a question, I searched but could not quite understand what is the bootloader and for serving, to use the nAa I need the bootloader?
Gingerxperia ....best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HIT THANKS !!!!
Guys, I am new to this forum and I start playing around with custom kernels and roms for my X8 these days. In major, I stick with MiniCM7 and 2 great kernels, nAa-11 and Alfs-8 and both of them are great! Thanks to nobodyAtall, alfsamsung and also djnilse. Now I got a dilemma when finalizing...
The performance of Alfs-8 for MiniCM7 is great but it has a tiny little issue, which cannot "screen off" when making a call. (this is due to CM7, not Alfs-8 in fact) You have to be very careful not to touch the screen or you might cut the phone call... or something unexpected.
nAa-11 is very stable with everything's OK (of coz nAa fixes screen-off issue of CM7). This is my kick-start kernel when setting mod rom on my x8, it is just greatly stable with all functions there!
I should post this onto alfsamsung and djnilse's thread tho I am still restricted by the 10 post rule.. Anyway, what's your choice and recommendation?
Anyway, what's your choice and recommendation?

AtiFroyo
or any other!?
I voted for the LE voted for the LEWA listed.
But actually it is HAKA's Lewa based on Prime HD.
And i use the Lewa Rom v4 which is made from scratch by Chinese Devs..
I think poll should include that or an other option.
GingerDX is the most stable. But it still depends on you.
I was using the original FroyoPro for some time now and I can say it was a rather good ROM.
However lately it had started to become sluggish so last night I decided to upgrade to 2.3. I thought of using GingerDX but I don't like that there is text in the lock screen (yep, I am one of those people ) so I opted for PrimeHD.
All was well, for the 12 hours I used it until I decided to reboot in recovery. That was it, now I am stuck on the Sony Ericsson screen, :/ . I hope I can sort it out without the need to reflash.
GinderDX and MiniCM7 were the fastest and most stable for me. Can't decide which is better. But im using MiniCM9 now, mostly because i'm glad about that my good old machine can still handle ICS
GingerDX iz the best
For me its GingerDX the BEST
I was waiting for ICS for a long time, so MiniCM9 is the chosen one for me!
Now i´m running on MiniCM7 with stock kernel and i don´t have any problems.

Hi
I'm currently using minicm7 & nAa-14-gb.
I totally get 4000 Antutu score (new version) 3d=2400 & 2d=~280
I also tried the following roms on the top of nAa kernel :
Gingerzaraki =only slightly less performance
xperiences= lags like ics
Ixperia=similar performance ((maybe a little faster but ios interface is not interesting))
-I'm wondering is there a better rom+kernel for best gaming performance?
-How much is your 3d-2d performance?
-Any tricks or mods to improve gaming?
Tnx

Ive tested froyopro rom v2.5 + alfs v09a no fps cap. Terrible bug with brightness (set at max and won't set to min)
Here are comparison between minicm7-2.2.1 {nAa14 kernel}& froyopro{alfs v09a}
[email protected] mhz (both)
I ran antutu benchmark v3.0.2 at first boot without any changes in rom.
FroyoProv2.5+fix patches)
(click for bigger image)
& minicm7:
As u can see in results, they are pretty like each other ...
*My experience in froyopro : super speedy menu scrolling, and switching between apps. But time for waking up from sleep is about 0.5~1.0 second which is very extreme for a new installed rom. *this is a froyo rom comes with android 2.2.9 ,it should perform faster than gingerbread roms but actually its not very different ...(+brightness bug which cause battery drain)
*my experience in minicm7 ,perfect for day to day use, without any serious bug or problems...
Nice performance & equals to froyo pro in 2d&3d and sometimes better.
Comes with android 2.3.7 which means a huge range of apps &games
my choice is minicm7, what's yous?
