Hi! i'm using cyanogenmod 7.2 KANG build, I think camera is worse than gingerbread stock (photos have a lower quality) so there is a flashable zip to put stock GB camera on CM7.2?

Look at my signature for Temaseks KANG thread. Then go to the third post of that thread and look for the camera mod made by Kostja_V. Download that one and flash it with CWM, that should improve your camera.

I've flashed it. Actually I see an improvement especially in videos, but if I take a foto and after I zoom a while (just a bit) the image loses detail and you can see alias on edges, I remember did not happen with the stock where you could see all the true 8-megapixel in your pic.

Just want to ask about how to fix camera on CM9 MTD Bulid, cause all people say that just Flash camerafix.zip or cameraupdates.zip it will fix the issue but already Flash it but still when i take photo from main camera it ended with FC ...!!
is there anyway to fix it ..??

One thing:
Have you disabled the camera sound?
Is a known error that go FC.
You must left camera sound On.
I prefer camera zoom fx, is better, and not expensive.

I am currently using the apoalypse rom and I really like it and I am happy with it but now I want to change to a CM9 rom but I am confused if I should and which rom I should choose.
I use s2e on the apocalypse rom , will s2e work on a cm9 rom???
Are camera and video recording working on cm9 roms? I heard about an update which fixes camera and video recording both but does it work??
Please reply soon and tell me if its really worth changing to a cm9 rom

I dont remember the name of Rom. I think we will have a ROM 4.1.2 with sony camera app full working in condition:
- This 4.1.2 ROM have to remove all camera app and feature ( gallery, app, lib,....) (CM10 camera or any camera)
- Ported full 4.2 camera with all feature (gallery, lib, etc...)
It mean the rom only used 4.2 camera. After flash this rom, booted one time and setup all (google acount, ...). Reset to recovery and flash [MOD][ICS] Camera Mod v.4.1 Cybershot Experience

I dont remember all, I just take some picture and It worked, sometimes I have FC but rarely. I am not a dev but I am sure

Maybe the rom you tried is jelly sandwich ,
It shows only android 4.1.2 in about phone but still it is based on

As I said, I have test many ROM on my arc day by day, I am sure it is 4.1.2 ROM, I know android version when I flash and test, I neednt look in setting to said about the version.Dont think everyone is amateur. I think many dev here can see my ideas, fxp maybe havent try my method yet

Sorry, It's not a daily used ROM, sometimes it had FC problem so I return to other 587 cooked ROM but I remember all when I flash this ROM
Maybe it's just some copying of libs

just install 20a stock camera app and youre ok.

The (Front) Camera + Bluetooth problems are both well known post Android 4.1.2. (i.e. CM10.1 or CM10.2)
If you wish to continue using those Features you'll have to stick with Android 4.1.2. ROMs (CM10).
As you have already noted akop-sgt7 works well with our GT-P1000s, as does those from Paranoid Android, and Sapir.
I suppose the next question is will we ever get to see a working CM10.1/.2 mod for our GT-P1000s now that Android 4.4.x (CM11?), is now out?
Here's hoping that those Builds won't be plagued by those same Bugs!

I could say no it doesn't, then again I could also say that I don't use CM10.1/(.2) Android 4.2.2 / 4.3.1 either because I prefer a 100% WORKING Environment over having the latest shiny shiny, either.... It seems to me like you've been 'round long enough to known that much of it to by now. If you like the (Front) Camera & Bluetooth that much, and who doesn't? Then you had best stick with CM10 based ROMs for now...

actually i just started the whole rooting and flashing rom thing last week
so i am kind of new to all this
so CM10 rom are problem free?

but how do i flash from 10.1 to 10.2?
too i need to do anything extra?
or just simply copy the rom into my phone and flash as usual?

Yes I would say that any number of CM10 based ROMs (HumberOS, Paranoid Android, Sapir to name a few), all work very well in my experience,

Same question applies... Does the (Front) Camera, and Bluetooth work?! If not why waste our time with it?
@Icarus1314; Very simple rule CM10 WORKS... CM10.1, and CM10.2 + CM11 currently do NOT work! Its still early days as far as CM11 goes, and People are working on it for the P1000, but it may still be some time before we actually see anything at all, if ever. As far as the (Front) Camera & Bluetooth is concerned.
After all this was a Bug that plagued this Device for nearly a Year now, and it still hasn't been fixed.
P.s. If your looking for "compatible" ROMs for your Device. I'd suggest you go to the Play Store (Formally the App Market), and download, and install the Goomanager app. Then search for compatible ROMs, and pick the last CM10 ROM http://goo.im/devs/cm/p1/nightly/cm-10-20130203-NIGHTLY-p1
You can also just download it to your Computer by going to http://goo.im and "Browse roms by device" (search) GT-P1000, or P1.
Sadly goo.im seems to be a bit wonky after their most recent update. So you might either have to fight though it, or find a different source.
Sadly Cyanogenmod do not seem to be hosting this File anymore though.

full wipe / wipe dalvik and flash cm10.1 that's all
Cam still Rom issue
It seems that porting camera features take too long now... fc on video on cm11... still front cam issue
