I bought this case September 2011 and have to say this is one of the best cases so far. I have dropped my tab a few times and no damage. only a tiny ding on the case and its still looks like new.

I definitely agree with this. I received this exact cover for my tab for free with my purchase in June 2011 and it AND my tab both look as good as the day I bought it!
I'm considering buying this case, but does it clip closed at all or does it just sort of hang freely? I tend to keep my tablet in my backpack and would hate for the flap to open up while its in there.

Q: what forum is this again?
A: P-1000 forum
I have been using the same for a year now, and it's worth it. Fell out a few times but thankfully no damage.
I got this one recently. It's fantastic! The great thing about using an old device is that the accessories are now dirt cheap. I got the OEM keyboard dock, new in box, for about $20 on eBay a few weeks back.

Great case i'm very happy with it
For my opinion, I don't suggest you to buy it.
After I had newly bought for few months, the leather cover (I mean the flippable cover) and its inner material separated almost into two pieces.
I can say that the inner material and the leather cover are stuck together by a layer of glue and can be easily removed if a little bit water soak the cover for a little while.
However, this case can resist impact force quite well as if the tab is under free fall motion with height over 0.5m. The case can really protect the tab.
This is the only thing that worth to be praised I think.

Got one of these recently and it's really nice for the price. Fits well and seems well made. Magnetic clasp and cutouts for the cameras etc. Currently £13.95 at mobilefun.co.uk.

I nearly bought one of these myself Paul but instead went for the Samsung Executive Case....... and I'm not happy with it.
Like the case you kindly mention I don't like the leather surrounding the glass surface. Much prefer the case where you 'click' the Tab into place rather than slide it in.
Any idea's which would be a good case?
I've only used the one above and (for a short while) the official Samsung case. Not the executive one though. It was the sleeve variant. I really didn't like it. Very hard to get the device in and out of as it was so tight. I'm happy with the one I got, though may try a TPU style cover at some point.

Yes I have the same issue with the Samsung Executive case, it's a right pain inserting and taking out of the case.
That looks very like the red one I recently got
http://www.londonmagicstore.co.uk/L...llet+Leather+Case+for+Samsung+Galaxy+Tab.html
Good case, but it does have tendency to let the tab slip out of the top if held upside down (while taking out of a bag, for example)

Hi Jon (hey we're neighbours ). That does look very like mine, apart from the colour. I've not had the problem with it slipping, it's a snug fit. Unlike the official case, which was a strangulated fit .
I see we also share the same taste in where you purchased it too.
I obtained my Samsung Executive case from LondonMagicStore.
Excellent service from them, have purchased quite a few items in the past and have their Black Gel Case Cover Stand on order as well.

has anyone tried this case there is no reviews on amazon for it so i figured id ask here decent price looked pretty sick anyone has experience from these phone cases almost got one for me evo a while back but never got it
Did you ever order the case? I was also looking into getting one but I like the way this one looks. It looks like an actual fishbone.
no i didn't cause no one freaking responded 200+ view not one response ended up getting a cruzerlite... off amazon and its amazing feels very light but not cheap but the price is great!!! i never really like tpu cases but this one definently got my business thinking about buy a second case different color..
I did see on another forum that someone bought one and he stated that the corners would slip out and he didn't recommend it. But it just looks so cool. I have had an Otterbox Commuter Series on my Sammy Charge and I love it but I thought I would try something different. I will look into the cruzerlite, thanks for the suggestion.
yeah the fishbone was poorly rated when i was looking at it too and the phone is bulky enough as it is and this case doesn't add much bulk at all too it..
I drop my phone alot. And my 3 year old doesn't help matters either, chucking it all over the place so I don't mind the added bulk of the Otterbox Commuter.
I just ordered one from Amazon so I will let you guys know how it is once I get it but I had one a while back for my Fascinate and loved it actually so I'll see how this does with my Bionic.
Had one on a fascinate. It provides basic protection, but not nearly to the level of an otterbox or aegis. Think of it as one step above a silicone case. I had no problems with the corners sliding off.

You guys should check this **** out : http://www.amazon.com/Trident-AG-BIO-RD-Series-Motorola-Bionic/dp/B0060EKDWK/ref=pd_cp_cps_2
I am a big fan of my CaseMate Tough case for Bionic. It is a 2 layer case with soft-silicone inside and hard plastic removable outside layer. It's nice since I can dock in the car and moto desk dock with the soft case and pop on the hard outer case when I am on the go. Last week I think Amazon had the Tough for around $7 w/ free shipping. The fishbone looks like it would be a pain to remove the outer layer, if anyone can comment I'd like to know how easy it is to remove/replace the hard layer.

I purchased this case for £6.95 form AMazon yesterday and it came today. I wanted a thin case that offers as much protection as it could, and I believe this is that case. THis case is listed as $35 on thier website, I just wanted to say I dont think that it is worth that much.
The case has a hard, plastic structure with a layer of Brushed Aluminum on the back. This gives it a cool touch and a very nice texture. All cutouts are very well aligned and I have had no issues with audio or pressing the volume or power buttons. The pogo pins are also exposed which is nice as this is the only case I know where they have allowed them to be open. Overall the case is very good very slim and offers quite a lot of protection.
THe negatives come in the way of the design though. The huge poetic logo on the back of the case (see images) may put some people off as well as the bottom and top silver plastic being exposed on the device. Also the case is not that grippy to hold. Meaning it is very slippy to hold and may fall out of your hand.
Great case at a great price.

Here's my video:
Great review man... does it provide any protection to the front? What I mean is if you put the nexus face down does the glass touch the surface at all?
Thanks for putting up the review. That has got to be one ugly case though. I want my branding to be mostly invisible. That one screams LOOK AT ME!!!!! :silly:
Just recently got my nexus and I've been looking for a new case. I just recently dropped my nexus on concrete and the top right corner the I guess bezel or the silver gray material came off. Am wonder ok by if this case would provide decent protection against such a fall

With most of the phones going slimmer, the availability of cases to house an xperia play in a trident case is limited.
Anyone suggest a case for the play in the trident? I've been using a MOBO brand and it's served well but it's getting beat up.
I can't comprehend what you're trying to say. A case for the Xperia PLAY in Trident? Isn't Trident already a case?

sorry to be unclear. a carrying case is what I'm looking for.
I've had the aegis case from trident for about 2 years now. Both the case and my phone are still in "like new" condition thanks to it so I can highly recommend getting it. I don't even use a screen protector, and my screen is still pristine.

can the touchpads slide out with the case on.. didnt see any photo of that on the site.. ?? Doesnt it make the phone even thicker to carry/hold.. and 35$ .. almost 1/4 the price of a new play.

Ya the touchpads slide out just fine. I've read that the otterbox has a latch that sort of lifts and rubs on the gamepad when sliding it, which this case doesnt.

Its a bit thicker, but easier to grip from the ribs on the side.
Also the volume buttons are easier to press with the case on because of how much more they protrude.
And about the price, I think it's worth it for the protection. I've dropped it in situations where it would have smashed if the case wasn't on, saving me from buying a new phone
Here's a bit of a left-field suggestion among all the rubber backs and bumper cases: why not get a sleeve case instead?

I found this seller on etsy a while ago. They make pouches for any number of devices using jeans fabric on the outside and coloured cotton on the inside. What I like about them: they are very minimalist and low-key. Perfect for protecting your G4 while traveling or when you want to toss it into a bag but you're worried it might get pushed around or scratched by sharp objects such as your house keys.
In my opinion a perfect solution for those looking to protect the phone when it's not in use but who don't want to mess up the design by putting a rubber or bumper case around it. Of course, it won't help you if it slips out of your hand and hits the concrete while you're using it.. those are the trade-offs.
I have a similar pouch for my Nexus 7 (2nd gen) and it's been serving me well for almost 2 years now. Highly recommended.
I ordered one for my G4 yesterday (the phone arrived two days ago). I'll post an update once I receive the sleeve case.

It's pretty simple actually...
1) a sleeve doesn't protect against drops
2) you can't use your phone without taking it out of the sleeve.

I made similar points in my initial post —
It won't be of much use to you if you feel you need protection at all times.
I intend to keep it in the sleeve when not in use and while traveling. I'm going to see if that works for me as well as I hope it does — it's been a great combination with the Nexus 7.

See the pictures I posted above - it's like a jeans pocket that you slide the phone into. Mine has an extra pocket in the front that can carry a credit card or something similar. Just slide your phone in and it's protected from falls or during travel.
I prefer to use my phone 'naked' and I use instant messaging much more than actual phone calls, so this arrangement works very well for me. Hope this helps.
