How to install P990 custom roms on SU660.
8/26/12 Edit: This guide is now cross-posted and maintained at the Optimus 2x SU660 Android Development section. I removed the duplicate info here since that required me to update both pages with every edits and additions to the guide. Hehe nice, I remember this guide from here.
I think you should cross-post it in the Optimus 2x SU660 Android Development section, I will then ask a mod to sticky it because it is something that's asked a lot and really usefull information! :good:

You can install and use the Harsh kernel but yes indeed, you will sacrifice the use of the home key.
So that means it requires you to have a ROM that supports soft key navigation.
That is how my ParanoidAndroid and Harsh Kernel combination is set up. I also have successfully used owain94's Domination #80 and Harsh Kernel combination in the past. After the first boot, be sure to go to settings to turn on the soft key navigations as the first thing to do and you'll be good to go.

FYI....
I updated the first post with a subsection that lists the p990 custom ROMs that have soft-key navigation, which would allow you to use p990 kernels on the su660 O2x phones.
If there are others that I'm not aware of that should be included, kindly reply and I'll be happy to update the post. Thanks!

CyanogenMod just updated the CM10 for P990.
I checked the previous version: cm-10.1-20130122-NIGHTLY-p990.zip
Problems:
1) Wi-Fi connection problem (Normal Carrier internet works fine)
2) Battery gets drains like hell.
3) Get hot fast.
Any info on the 23 one?

Have been googling around for almost 3hrs without any success.

I have no idea who uploaded it, so i guarantee nothing.
Still couldn't install though because my drivers apparently can't find the device neither in smartflash or with nvflash, so neither the LG drivers or the APX drivers work apparently so i feel kind of stuck right now.
Maybe my device is bricked?

i am running an unnificial cm 10 rom and i dirty flashed to the slim bean rom and when i rebooted i am stuck in the bootloader for some reason i cant access my custom recovery (i have twm)
