[Q] how to identify if gps is broken or if it's related to rom/kernel?

Hello! The gps used to work on my Ideos X6 but since a while back I can't get a fix. I thought it was because of flashing different roms and changing kernels that something wasn't compatible but now I've reverted back to stock with SUT and it still doesn't work. I've tried a bunch of gps fix-apps too but no luck. Do you think the gps is broken hardware wise?

Try this, install fasterfix and choose a server for your region. In settings go to my location settings, disable "Automatic assisted gps" and "use wireless network" leaving only "use gps sattellites" option enabled. Now install GPS Test and go out into a region where you can see the sky clearly and fire up gps test and see if you get any sattelites. When the big yellow dot becomes green you have a lock, see if you can get any sats.

unfortunately my phone also faces gps problem but not your kind. Its just takes too long to get a f*** lock. Maps app shows direction correctly and turns when I turn, but the navigation app just wouldn't lock soon enough. So I guess the problem might be handset related, each phone behaving uniquely....... So I think its best if you flash stock and return your phone for a replacement before your warranty expires...

I had tried all those gps fix apps with no luck. I finally managed to get gps working by flashing an old stock rom with old kernel via SUT. I think the huawei versions' gps doesn't work with all kernels. As far as I can remember the gps stopped working after flashing one of the MIUI ICS roms, but I'm not sure. I'm going to try and root now and install Maclite, cause I'm almost sure I had gps working before with that rom.

MIUI ICS? x.x ICS theme or ICS rom? cuz AFAIK the only MIUI ICS here is zuk's abandoned MIUIv4 proj..
I have your issue as well after flashing to CK's Dark MIUI. but then I flashed edowar's libs-gps file and it's fine.. can be found somewhere in his CM7 thread I think.. now I get locks within 7-30s..

Stock rooted help

Hello , I am on stock rooted and my gps does not work for **** I have to use gps fix app the get my gps working. By itself it just sits on waiting for location.

[Q] [Solved] Wi-fi Problem

I had a CM12.1 rom on my G800H, then i downloaded and installed the stock rom. Now i can't turn the wi-fi on! I downloaded an app called "Wifi Fixer", the app gives me a log saying "WIFI_STATE_UNKNOWN". What can i do? Fingerprint sensor is also not working.

I have a galaxy s plus
after I inslalled the cm 10 it's wifi stopped working
when I turn it on , the phone hangs and work slowly
now I install the cm 12 and it still doesn't work
how can I reintall the wifi driver?
I tried the *#*#526#*#* and it didn't work
is it a hardware problem?
what should I do?
if its problem doesn't solve how can I remove and disable wifi?

Wifi not working after insatlling this custom Kernel

I flashed an custom kernel it is compatible with the stock.(It is for CM13 so the dev said it must work for stock too).My phone boosted up but wifi is not working .I cant even turn on the wifi .IT is not toggling at all.
Studied some posts,thinking i need to flash up some extra files.If anyone knows how to solve this please help...
