Schedule Airplane mode at night - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello I need some app that will turn on Airplane mode at night or atleast turn off Data connection. For specific time period. I found out that data are consuming too much of my battery at night.

battery usage in sleep mode

Hello,
I noticed that the phone continues to use the battery a lot while it's in airplane mode and NOT awake.
For example last night I went to sleep and put it in airplane mode with 67% of battery, when I woke after 8 hours the battery was at 58%. It dropped 10% for no reason (with my other android device if nothing is on it never drops a point all day!).
Viewing the battery stats I see that the in those 8h the signal was off, the screen was off, wifi off, the phone was asleep the whole time but still the battery dropped. How is that even possible? What used the battery if nothing kept it awake?
I'm using cm7 KANG

[Q] Stamina Mode

Under power management > stamina Mode > extended usage. Is anyone noticeing Amy difference to when it's off? I'm running. 242 lollipop 100% stock. With it off get about 6-6.5hrs screen on time. With it on I don't notice any difference sometimes it might actually b about 4.5hrs.

stamina mode is for when you don't use your phone, it disables connections and autoupdate for apps but not for the apps you put in exceptions. So that means that if you use your phone from 100% to 0% without interruption you really won't notice any difference, while in standby there is a big difference. for example during the night with stamina mode on my phone goes down by only 1% and around 5% if it is off.
you can still receive msges from whatsapp, viber, whatsapp ecc in stamina mode if u put those apps in exceptions. so my advice, use the stamina mode
only time you would consider to disable it, is when you tether your connecion throught bluetooth as the stamina mode disable connections while in standby it won't work well for bluetooth tethering
Extended usage is for when your actually usi g your phone. It's suppose to slow your phone down a little to give a bit more battery. Your talking about extended standby. Get Me?

as long as i know it doesn't slow your phone anyway when you use it. It works only when the phone is in standby. if you get less screen on time with stamina mode on, then i think it is bugged for you. With stamina mode on you should get more or at least the same screen on time.
To see if stamina mode is working ok, let your phone not in charge over 1 night with stamina mode on and check how much battery it used, and then 1 night still while not charging with stamina mode off. As i said with stamina mode on it should use around 1% while with stamina mode off it should use more, like 5% or more. If there is no difference then you have a bug

Airplane Mode after Battery Update

After the recent update for battery issues the wifi is blocked out while on airplane mode. This prevents use of wifi if you turn on airplane mode because of poor cell tower reception. It also prevents use of services like Gogo while on a flight. In areas with poor reception the battery drains very quickly if airplane mode is not selected. Unfortunately it now kills wifi.

During the night battery test....

I am very interested in results with Marsmallow.
Anybody has results of the battery drain during a night sleep? And I mean really sleep.
And with which options on/off, like wifi, blutooth, Location etc.
Mine is now 2.1% / hour in 8 hours. Not using the phone at all of course. Wifi on, Bluetooth on, Smartwatch on, Location off and auto update off.

How do you turn off WiFi

How do you turn off WiFi ?
I do not know why it is on ? It is paired by bluetooth to my phone and Wifi is useless.
Lately last week I can not get through a day with my watch. Display is in ambient mode but is on 1 !!!!
Trying to find and way I can keep using the watch ..... it loses 10% an hour. My average day is 6am to 10pm it is dead at 4pm.
Used to be I turned if off and back on if would drain 3% an hour and easily make it through a day but now more often than not it is down 10% an hour.
If I turn of WiFi it may help.
Settings WiFi
WiFi automatic
Select this and it sets up an access point !!!!!! I want it off and I want it to stay off.
But how do I change it from saying WiFi automatic to disabled ?
When I tap the wifi-automatic icon, it asks me if I'm sure I want to turn it off. I'm not sure what you're doing differently. Maybe if you set up an access point, then the automatic icon will switch to turning off?
If it is connected to BT, your wifi isn't being used. By default, if it's on wifi because the BT isn't being used, it will shut off after 2 hours to save battery.
For me, I got about twice the battery life when I turned off ambient mode (why do I want it showing the time when I'm not looking at it?) and set screen timeout to 10-15 seconds. I think I use it a lot, or should I say, play with it a lot. After a day of heavy use, I can usually go from 6am to about 9pm (only once did it shut down due to heavy day and excessive text notifications).
Lately I have been trying to track my sleep on it every night and just to be safe, will throw on a charger for 15-30 minutes in the afternoon or evening to ensure enough charge. Last night with a quick charge I was able to have about 60% when I woke this morning.
Not sure what notifications come through normally, but I'm running Feel the Wear along side Android Wear for a variety of notifications.
