Recently my Raider has been crashing here and there for me. It wasn't too big of an issue until the HTC Messaging App stopped working.
You are able to enter the app, but it gets stuck trying to load any messages. This happened while bootloader was locked and running stock, I have even changed to RumRaider and the problem persists. 3rd party apps work with slight delay.
Curious if anyone else has encountered a similar problem.
I've never experienced an issue quite like this. Sounds like it could be a network issue possibly. When you flashed the new from, did you clear the cache and try using it before installing any apps or restoring your data?

Hello ppl,
I've notice a kind of bug in froyo, ATM I'm running FRF91 and I notice that when I'm using the maps in 3g for some reason it doesn't load maps right and if it loads it takes a really while to do it.
Most of the time I get a message "connection lost, retrying...."
That only happened when I tried to use maps while connected in 3g and I'm sure is not my cellphone operator cause if close maps and open the browser, I can load pages really fast and if I use a speed test app I have a good conmection, for both download and upload.
Has anyone find something similar and what can I do to solve this??
Thx for the help.

I have same issue, i am running 2.1.
I just went from frf85b to frf91 and Google maps navigation crashes after like 20 seconds. Nandroid back to frf85b and it's fine.

When I flashed cm6 alpha 1 I got the same issue. Maybe its a problem with the google servers or something

I flashed FRF85B back, and I'm still having same issue. I got lazy to flash any older version to check it out if some other would work tho...
So FRF85B and FRF91 have same data issue for maps.
Working great on My end.. frf91 rooted
+1 here I received frf91 and it takes a long time to find a GPS signal

Had the same issue and uninstalled updates and reinstalled then rebooted and seems to work. I had issues with some apps I restored through Titanium Backup as well that I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall for them to work properly. I'm on CM6
Problems here too with both FRF85B and FRF91, stock N1.
I had the same problem with Maps, Pandora and Voice input. Per my thread I posted today, I did a hard reset, and everything works flawlessly now.
Since the first day I got my N1, I have configured 2 APNs, one for mobile data and the other one for sending/ receiving MMS
so I can safely disable the entire mobile data connection without hindering my phone from sending & receiving MMS
This method was working fine on vanilla Froyo ROM as well as CM6
But no matter how I try, I cannot get this method working on CM7.
I thought it was CM7 issue, so I flashed vanilla GB ROM, only to find that the method is not working either.
Do i miss anything? Now i have to manually enable my APN everytime i want to send/receive a MMS, that's really stupid...
Today I flash CM6.1.1, the dual APN method is working fine.
Does this have anything to do with Gingerbread? A bug or something?

Thanks for the reply.
A full wipe using teamsek's nuke-everything format file solves that problem
i guess some bits and odds are left when i use RA built-in full wipe, causing some problem
now it's working fine again
Hello!
I'm using the 20.2810.30.085AU_3805.06.03.16_M Baseband with Android Revolution HD 3.0.1 and I'm facing a weird issue: The data connection turns itself on and off at random times...It's really annoying because I can't recieve any of my incoming emails or whatsapp messages, does anybody know who to solve this?
Anyone is facing the same issue?
Thanks a lot!
Have you tried a different radio or Rom? I'd try a diff radio first and then if issues persist try a diff Rom.

I've just flashed the latest Radio for ICS... It still drops the connection but it's more stable... It's really annoying
Wondering if I'm the only fella with this problem:
I recently flashed CM 10 (nightly build 2013-07-21) using TWRP (I'd originally used CWM, but it corrupted my internal SD card so I wiped everything and switched and that solved the problem). I'm s-on, so I manually flashed the kernal, went into TWRP, flashed the ROM, everything's hunky-dory. Used gapps-jb-20130301 (which is the most recent version), upgraded Talk to Hangout, everything's working fine.
Except I can't seem to get a dang video Hangout to work. Every time I try I get an error saying the network connection has timed out--and I'm on an AT&T Vivid, so no using the mobile network for me to see if it's just a wifi problem. I get kind of lousy signal here at my house, so I tried it at the office and at a friend's place, and got the same result.
So two questions:
1. Am I the only unfortunate sod having this problem?
2. Is there any way to fix it?
I really, really like CM 10 (it is seriously a revelation--this was my first foray into flashing my phone, and it's gone incredibly well--dang near a religious experience after the long dark of Sense), and it's currently stable and functional enough that I'd like to keep it if possible. Is this just Hangouts being weird, the Vivid being weird (from what I can tell that's a pretty common occurrence), or what?
Any help is appreciated.
If you are on CM 10 and not 10.1 and you are using those gapps, those gapps are for 4.2.2 and not 4.1.2.. and I'm pretty sure it is 20121011 or something like that if you need 4.1.2

Sorry, I meant to say I'm using CM 10.1. I've installed the wrong gapps before and that just made everything crash all the time, forever (the keyboard in particular). Everything seems to work except for video calls on Hangouts.

I have the exact same problem now. Everything works perfect except every time when I tried to start the video/voice call on Hangout it timeout/crash. Really hope this to be fixed.
So after a long wait and having updated my boss's SGS4 to the sweet chocolaty kitkat, I came across an official CM 11 nightly for our beloved cappy, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557481) I tried it and for a nightly it running exceptionally except for one thing that sent me back to SlimBean, I can not get whatsapp to connect by any means. Everything else is working beautifully but this D: it even downloaded from the playstore just fine (as opposed to all the errors said to be caused by ART) I tried all the lib fixes I found that said it got whatsapp working again but non of them did the job. Any one that has got it to work?
Try to check your APN settings. It worked for me.

The APN actually was cleared but that wasn't the problem as I was trying to connect with wifi, however the problem was fix on the nightly right after that n.n been working great with ART the only problem I seem to be having now is the occasional deep sleep which the phone wont wake up from without a reboot. Not really sure what's causing it.:silly:
You can always try a different governor/scheduler setup to fix the wake problem.
