I need to know the best way and what people use, I'm using the latest MobyPlayer plus UTorrent but for some reason after it downloads and I go to play it back it says your device player isn't capable? If anyone could walk me through this or give a good link that would be great also used MXPlayer

i haven't had any problems with nay movies/videos...
Using MX video player (the free version) & it seems to play almost anything i want.
I think maybe cuz I don't have 1.7gb available but are all movies that large

Maybe the player is telling you that it can't use HW decoding for video???
Sometimes using MXvideoplayer is uses SW decode, but as long as i'm not watching a hd movies it's ok.
It's a problem when you try to watch a 720p movies without using HW decoding..
It plays laggy; but generally it's a question of avi's codec that aren't decoded by our cpu..
Download qqplayer and everything will be fine.

Flashing Movies and How? Am I the only one who doesn't know what a flashing movie is?
Surely you must know if you have enough drive space to copy a movie across.
I use MXplayer to play vids. Works flawlessly even when the phones got tTorrent running which is extremely taxing. I rarely use the phone to watch movies besides on extended bathroom visits. Usually stream them to WDlive player using Twonky mobile if I couldn't be bothered copying them over. (All free versions btw)
@itsbeertimenow I tried qqplayer and was out of sync on mkv's.
I'm still trying to figure out the "flashing movies" bit

Using Doc's Froyo 2.2 JPO full package. Had no lag at all.

i have avatar 720p mkv and it plays well on the default video player without any lags or problems when i was in eclair and even now on froyo
Im using stock rom and it lags with market players and I only get audio with stock player. That's with the cars trailer 720p. Any fix for this without using a custom rom?

TBH it worked fine on my stick 2.1 when i got the phone from t-mobile using the stock video player so i cant see a reason why you have issues. Could always try a full factory hard reset and see if that improves it.
Lordao
I'm pretty sure a hard reset isn't the answer. I mean just to get those videos playing, it cant be. There has to be a simple soloution.

Is it on the internal SD or on an external?
720p MKV and MP4 worked on mine off external sd on both 2.2 and 2.1.
Could try re encoding the video with something like Hamster which is freee
Mine are on the externel sd card. N wouldn't re encoding the video change the quality?

i can confirm there is no problem playing 720 straight off the web downloas in the phone for movies, tv shows, anime, etc.
using mplayer to watch the videos
Hey folks I'm looking for a good video player. I use various formats but mostly avi but the only app I have found that plays it is QQplayer and that app sucks itself. Has vlc been ported to market yet or anything better?

MoboPlayer
The best I have used so far is MoboPlayer (http://moboplayer.com/moboplayer_en.html) You have to use the medium version since the Xoom doesn't support Neon. This is the only player I could get to play 720p video smoothly. Hope that helps and if you find something better let me know!
I would have to go with rockplayer. I have found it to play just about anything very well and haven't had any issues with videos on my Xoom.

+1 For Mobo. I had the Neon version and it was horrible. The medium version works great though!
I want to put high quality movies on my device but want to get all best opinions on what to use right down to the most dumb/noob suggestions please, I have not put any movies onto my device before so I'm pretty wet behind the ears on this part but do know how to flash ROMs if that even matters plus I'm S-OFF/CWM enhanced lol
Thanks, TC

First of all tell me what the hell u need hq videos? u won't see any differences between hq and dvdrip on 4" display, I promise u

Good luck

If u want to download video from torrent directly to ur sdcard u have to install some kind of torrent downloader.
I think it's more comfortable to download film on ur pc/laptop and then copy it to sdcard.

Yes, videos are working just fine with or w/o hardware acceleration. When playing music on the other hand, it close down after 1-2 minutes. Music work fine when disabling hardware acceleration tho.

Which Videos i can watch with Flash Player 11? Which Websites
Sent from my X8 using xda premium
In my tests... none (the browser crashes )
i tried with many video player. but the only one stable and usable is youtube set on 240p
Plays ok and no browser crashing
I been watching all kinds of videos. It is a lil laggy with anything over 240p. But to fix that kill all apps before watching a video and clear your cache regularly. I got a version of it from a website based in mexico i think. i have tried several that people have tweaked on. This one plays alot better then any other one i found. Here it is if anyone wants to try it:

Stop posting illegal stream websites!
And if you want to see flash videos you should simply try it...
......I finally got it to run on the default internet app. But all other browsers fail to run flash.
I installed an older version to get it to run on the default browser btw.

Chrome doesn't use flash plugins so any videos viewed would be HTML5.
Boat Browser is another that still supports Flash Player.

I'll try that then. The stock browser is to plain even tho I have the flash player working on there

Right, but according to YouTube, everything has, or almost has been converted to HTML5, yet Dolphin doesn't play any video.... I can't imagine I've only tried the ones that are still only in flash format....
