Settings-->Applications-->Manage Applications-->(select app)-->move to SD card
But first you have to enable Application moving, this can be done under CyanogenMod settings-->Application--->"Allow application moving"

[Q] Any way to make ext sd card the default one and not the internal sd card?

Hi,
I would like to know if there is any way to make ext sd card the default one and not the internal sd card? Cause right now, I can't restore certain backups from previous phones as the various apps wont detect. It can only search the internal storage, and is unable to search the storage in the external sd card.
Any app or setting that can do this?
Thank you!
An app like ROM Toolbox should let you browse to the ext sd card to choose a backup. Am I understanding your question correctly?

Hmm, not really actually. An example would be Whatsapp. It backs up to my sd card in my old phone. However, after switching to Droid 4, I can't restore the messages because now it backs up to the internal sd card and not the ext-sd card.

I have a Galaxy S 1 with Android 2.3.3. and my external SD contains a .asec folder that has apps that I have moved from the phone storage to the sd card.
I also have a Cube U30GT tablet with Android 4.1 and when I move apps, it only moves them to the internal SD card.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that ICS and JB do not natively allow apps on external SD. Is this not the case? Is it a matter of the Android implemention the manufacturer chooses?
ps I will be getting my 4X today, so some thorough testing will take place in the next few days. I will be more than happy to find that apps can go to external SD.

Where is the Move to SD card option in the Apps setting menu?

I cannot see that Jelly Bean has the function to move apps to SD card in the settings menu. Any one had same issues or can help?
It's no longer available in Jelly Bean.
Edit: you might want to take a look at this thread. It requires you to be rooted, to partition your SD card and manage the apps using Link2SD.
It's there but only moves media not App data.

but sony mentioned in white paper of xperia z (if i remember it correctly) that it s depend on apps to move their data to sd card BUT not installing apps in sd card like before
but it s for stock rom options, u can root and use different methods and options on ur android phones.

Exactly. When I'm selecting "Storage > Use SD Card" it is moving only media to SD card, not app data. How can we move app data too?
