I use S2E. It's easy to use and I prefer it to Darktremor A2SD.

Amarullz script works flawlessly for me. Ungazed works just as well too.

try link2sd app free in play and allows you to choose which app to move and which to not

do amarullz.....its make your sd-ext as internal..
Tried ungaze, but when internal memory was full I wasnt able to install apps. Now using amarullz, no bugs, wirking good for now. Ye, used LINK2SD too, but it eats rams. SGM have about 180 MB ram, and its kinda low.

i know that we should all try out which seems to be best fitting for our own personal taste, but i just want to know if who uses what the most. so please, tell me: which rom you use and what you use to transfer apps to your partition because i have tried a lot of other scripts and apps, but i just can't seem to decide which is the best. thanks in advance if you would cooperate
I am on cm7.2RC5.2 and use 'link2sd' for linking apps to sd.

I use CM7 RC5.5 with darktremor script and this script.
I'm using CM7 RC5.5 along with s2e.
everything works very well.
I have use s2e and darktremor both are good and working but i think darktremor is the better choise!! Havent try the both other!!
Notice: on s2e app do not sync automatic like weather etc. on darktremor no problem!!

I use cm7.2 rc5.5 with latest link2sd.
Works flawless.
Used link2sd also on other roms. No problems there to.

I see most of you use link2sd. But for those who use s2e, have you already experienced a time when you boot your sgm, you suddenly lose all your apps and you can't check or uncheck the Applications box?

Did not experience this problem. Been using s2e for a long time. You can check the Application data by going to s2e settings and check Advance mode. Restart s2e, and you should be able to check it. But I think its impratical to move it to sd-ext. The developer had it default to not move it. I mean, what's the use of your internal memry if nothing's on it? Afaik, the developer chose not to move it since it needs a high I/O speed and internal mem best suits the requirement. It's only practical to move it if you have a class 10 sd card.. still its the users choice, so..

A sd card class 10 certified is a must if you don't want to loose so much speed compared to internal memory.
Although reading speed is not that prob for many card, writing is the more important factor. There class 10 should give you best results.
You can also gain more speed setting a higher sd read ahead cache size. You can do it via an app (sd speed increase for example) or a rom which supports it (cm7 rc5.5 squadzone for example).

Its not just you who experienced s2e corrupting the partition and destroying all partition data suddenly. It happened to me thrice and got me pissed like ****. Now I removed partition, formatted my 8 GB memory card. Flashed cm7 by subskype. Using the default cyanogen settings options to set default installation directory to external memory i.e memory card. Am done with this partition crap.

To everyone, thanks a lot for cooperating. I think I'd try s2e, link2sd, darktremor, and the move to sd card settings in cyanogenmod each in a week. Then I'll see which one I think is best.

I recently installed GalaxyICS to my Ace, only with CyanogenMod 7.x I was able to move all apps to the SD card, creating more space.
Is there anyway to do the same kind of thing with GalaxyICS? As I install quite a few apps, and am starting to run low on internal storage. :/

There are sufficient memory are available in your internel.that you can move applications to your sd.but These scripts are for a min.class 6 sd card user.
Also Runs on class 4 with poor performance.
Do this trick..it will improve your performance.
Go to titanium backup.
First convert such system apps to user apps what you wont be use much.
Second convert such a user apps into system apps that you are using daily.
Not increase memory but definately gives performance to you.

My phone has link2sd and using 2gb ext4 partion but the phone is saying its out of space is there a way to increase the phones memory like the psn mem hack?? Or another way to do it if that way is not possible!
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
Psn Memory hack is made for stock ROM and CM9/10
You can browse the android development section to check out whether there is memory hack for CM7
Even if you do have a working cm7 memory hack kernel, don't use it in conjunction with any a2sd scripts. You can get into trouble! Try cronmod scripts instead.

Hi,
First of all if your phone is rooted , try "greenify" , you can find it in the playstore . it will increase your games speed .
Try also to install a costume ROM (modified system) . try to choose a ROM for gaming . if you use an external SD card remove it , it make the device lagging ....
And remember to clear ram before run any game.
That's it

alaataj14 your adivice are messy and wrong so if you don't know what you're talking about please do not reply.
These are all the steps I think can make the Galaxy Ace a fairly good gaming device
1° step: Install a custom ROM that allows you to get better performance (CM 7.2 is perfect)
2° step: Install script (like FlyOn mod) to increase overall performance of the system
3° step: buy a class 10 sd card so the access to game data is superfast and reduce lag
4° step: use Seeder to reduce lag and Greenfy (works only on Android 4.0+) to freez all the apps running in background using ram and cpu
5° step (OPTIONAL): do some overclock to get a bit more performance out of your device (must be at least 100mhz to see a strong difference)
6° step (OPTIONAL): make a little partition (128/256 mb) for swapping with a low priority (30 is perfect) so if some android core process are running in back ground can be stored of that partition increasing the ram availability.
That's all
OK so i see a true gamer here
Fly on mod, Overglock just 928...
No money for SD card...
But i looking for the other steps, thank you very much bro
And i dont think that the PAC Rom is good anymore cause its lagging...u know? So thanks a lot
