[Q] Change FirmwareVersion Easteregg - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
I want to change the easteregg from the Galaxy S.
Setting>About Phone>Firmware version.
Ik want to change the text what pops up here.
Can someone help me?
(I want to change because I've bet with a friend of me, who can do it. But he dont want to tell it to me)
Thanks

nobody knows
Does nobody knows it??
Sorry bad English...
I need it in 4 days. Comeon guys help me
Edit: i get time until may, so not 4 days.

I might have one solution for you. Get rom toolbox, go to performance settings and edit build.prop just look for the one line you wanted to change.
Though a word of warning. Modify your build prop at your own risk as it could make things go really wrong.

Thanks, but thats is not what i seek.
If you click firmwareversion multiple times, you get a easteregg, and a popup with some text.
I want to change that text.
Does anyone know how?
Sorry for bad english...

Hey,
I browsed the latest cm9 build with theme engine and fount systemUI.Apk and after unpacking it I found it only contains drawable and xml
I guess this can be used to create themes for the new theme engine.
I am away from my home computer so I can't try it but I think my assumption is right.
Let's start the theming!
Since I am away from home I can't upload the apk. It is located at /system/app/systemUI.Apk

systemui.apk only for notification bar and your Android has more than only a notification bar. If you get what I mean.

confused:
Is this even needed?
The device doesn't ship with ICS. So the person who is going to flash CM9 definitely knows how to use ICS.!!
Don't be a noob. Be a newbie..!!
Details here.

Anyways. I dont think there will be any noob who does not know how to do these basic things!
If there is a person like that, he will not be knowing about xda.
In short I mean the thread will not be useful!

Not bad, considering you're only using paint for this.
A few enhancement can be done though, try lighten up the white a bit and make it smoother.
And if you have a spare time, I highly advice you to use or at least learn the basics of Photoshop since it's the best application you can use for this type of work, though you are only trying to create a single icon, trying Photoshop wouldn't hurt so I say try it at least. It's not that hard if you think it is, YouTube is always there for online tutorials w/c is where I actually learned on how to use photoshop.
thanks for the tips
i ended up making the color version so i dun have to deal with the black and white brightness hassle, look good as well, using the original author provided icon base

Hello all.
As you can see from my pic, I have some large log files in the directory shown. Couple of questions:
What creates them?
Can I delete them?
I have performed so many rom flashes and seem to always have decreasing internal memory. I am looking to see what may cause it. P.s. Its not my nandroid backups
Thanks guys ♡

You have to change semc_bg.png (in some ROMs semc_bg_dark.png) in framework-res/res/drawable-xxhdpi/ with yours pict.
Of course you have to use same name.
