There was errors coming out via flashing a custom kernel in FlashTool for some custom ROMs in the forum. The thing was that I was trying to flash NobodyAtAll's/Nobody At All's nAa kernel on my Sony Ericsson Xperia X8i (E15i). They must fix this issue AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

What do you think has cause this error?
nAa kernel
or
Flashtool
Try older version of flashtool (0.2.9.1) to flash
To many people already asked about this! You can find you answer if you using search button. Btw use older flashtool ,like he mentioned above.

Maybe/I think it might be a fastboot issue, I think FlashTool has an issue when unlocking the bootloader

flash kernel via fastboot?
unlocked bootloader via Flashtool?
Here OP will do:
1.Go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436924 .Take ur time and READ CAREFULLY every words in there to unlocking bootloader.
2.If everything successfully, flash costum kernel via X10 FLASHING TOOL in FLASHMODE not fastboot.
Then nobody should fixing anything after this.

Hello guys.
My question is do i have to unlock the bootloader for flashing a stock kernel rom like Sony Ericsson 2.1.1.C.0.0? I'm not sure when the phone is manufactured, cause i sent him to repair shop, not because of hard brick it was something else and the sticker is crossed over with pen.
I think the answer is YES, you will need to unlock the bootloader to install any kernel by using FlashTool. Or else you will need SEUS or PC Companion without unlocking. Hope this helps.
Please also see this post for the instrcution on unlocking bootloader.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
Why do you need to flash stock kernel? If you have not unlocked your bootloader you are already on stock kernel..
And to flash any ROM you do not need to unlock bootloader..
Sent from my x8 using xda premium
No, you don't have to unlock your bootloader to flash a Rom which require stock kernel...

of course you dont have to unlock bootloader in order to flash a rom which require stock kernel, you unlock bootloader in order to flash custom kernel!!!!
Thank you guys for quick response.
Cheers!!!
I Don't think u have to unlock the bootloader it's not required for a Stock kernel .. or either a Stock ROM.. Cause the reason u unlock the bootloader is to be able to install Custom kernels .. Like Alfs... nAa ..
So it's as simple as NO.. u don't have to unlock it .. Just install The Original ROM mate ^^ ..
Cheers!!

flasher?do you have a link with instructions?
Just use SEUS, it should do the job.
You will return to stock.
You need Pc companion .. Or SEUS
Cause I don't think i can actually provide you with The right link.. Cause there are plenty of flashers around ..
But it's probably the x10 flasher..
Sorry dude.. Am not a Developer ..
I can't really explain the way to actually solve the problem..
but i can tell ya what do to do..
In the same section (Q&A) .. Look for Bricked phones..
And there u will find the solution ..
Or just Rename your thread --> Bricked my x8, Help needed <-- ..
Sorry for letting you down mate ..
But it's not a big Problem ..
u can easy fix it ;D
Good luck mate

i will try SEUS right now and if i done i will tell you,but any help you can give me will be useful

Go to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224020 Follow the instructions here to the letter and you'll have zero chance of failing the unlock process
A word of caution, most users experience failure due to improper Fastboot driver installation. It's more likely you will have to install the fastboot driver manually. So be sure to install them when your phone connected in ADB mode (or when your PC asks you to).
Yes, ESA-XXX is unlockable!

The above specified method is the official one by LG.
But, for some reason it did not work for me. (i am on ESA-XXX V20A)
So, follow this tutorial..
The same tutorial is explained in an easier (noob-friendly) way here.. :good:
After unlocking bootloader, install CWM Touch Recovery 6.0.3.1.. (.img included in the thread itself)
I have tested it myself and it works flawlessly..
Enjoy! :highfive:

The official method worked for me. Incredibly easy to do.
Anyway, the best way to unlock the bootloader is via Ubuntu or similar Linux OS.
No need to install drivers. You only need the Android SDK.
After all android is unix-based, too..

Hi, I wanted to change my rom in my xperia x8, I did this many times without any problem, but this time after install MiniCM7-2.2.1 following this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362585 the phone stuck in Sony Ericsson logo and the only way to turn off the phone is unplug the batery. Another curiosity thing is when I plug the phone to the pc usb port the device turned on alone.
When I try to enter to the recovery mode pressing the back button when the SE logo appears nothing happens.
I've tried with Flashtool, Sony Ericsson Update Service and many other things, but always with the same result... NOTHING.
How can I figure out if the phone is definitely a brick without solution?
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your help, let me ask you a question, in the post "Recover your dead X8/W8" says:
If the date code on the sticker reads 11W29, or any later date (11W30, 11W31, 11W32, 11W33, ...), DO NOT attempt to unlock the boot loader.
and...
You have been warned, DO NOT TRY to unlock the boot loader on phones manufactured PAST 11W29!
Just to be sure, in my sticker phone says "11W19", could I try that solution?

bricks are common. nothing to worry about unless its hard brick. be sure the USB cable stays secure while you are unlocking the bootloader else you will end up with a dead X8
