Can someone please tell me what the stock at&t froyo baseband is? I thought it was v10e, but when I flashed that, the phone info said it was a p920. I'm trying to revert from v20p gb.
Never mind, figured out what to do.
And what was that fix?
I am trying to go back to the LG Thrill stock ROM (which worked), but I get no cell service because I believe I am still on the GB baseband. I need to get the Froyo baseband installed.

Flash a V10* KDZ
Sent from my GingerThrilla
Alright, I have the KDZ
Trying to figure out exactly how to make this flash tool work, but I am closer.

We have found a gb kdz from brazil that works on the LG Thrill. I need some testers to confirm this method works as it works for me. In the end you will end up with a baseband on your phone that works with AT&T fully. You will be able to use the custom european gb roms on your phone. It requires a few more steps to accomplish root.
Requirements:
Being able to flash a kdz like the method described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
v20a: The brazil kdz
http://csmg.lgmobile.com/swdata/WEBSW/LGP920H/ABRAML/V20a_00/V20A_00.kdz
v21a: The original euro kdz DO NOT TRY v21b
http://gibtet.net/LGO3D/Roms/V21A_00.kdz
Step one make sure you are on the froyo baseband if not go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343915
I repeat make sure you start on the froyo baseband
Step two flash the v20a kdz following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
make sure after the flash is successful to reboot into recovery and wipe data aka pull battery reinsert it and hold vol down and hit power
Step three flash the v21a kdz following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
Step four Root the thrill with v21a installed(only reason for going from v20a to v21a is to root as v20a is not rootable)
After this you can flash any euro gb custom rom or install the cyanogenmod made for the optimus 3d(Do not use the p925 thrill cm because that is made for the froyo baseband)
Please let me know if this works for you.
its not working for me U_U so i need to extract the baseband

There is no known method of extracting the baseband from the kdz. As for it not working are you an lg thrill user? Did you follow all the steps completely?
yes im a LG Thrill user and yes i do it but i do again en some hours but the last time i just get 2G, i hope someone can give us just the baseband.

does the v20a kdz itself give you 3g/4g?
yes with V20a i have 3G/4G and then witg v21a i just have 2G.
so you went from v20a to v21a correct?
yes that correct, when you say in other topic that you keep the baseband, i do the same but without your lucky
Finnaly got it all to load using thw download methed. Ran a speed test on 20 before going to 21. Hit around 1.5 and 21 hit about 2.0. Ao I don't see much differance. And that' about what I was getting here with froyo.

so you have Gingerbread + root + 4G???
In my case with any euro baseband I could never achieve 3g or higher at all. When I went to the brazil rom I could finally get 3g and higher. But for some reason when I went from v20a to v21a I could still get high speed connections.
well i'll try agani in a few hours i hope it works U_U

what is the maximum speed you got
I just ran a test again and hit 2.94 down and 1.04 up. I don't know if that's 4g or not. But it's better than abe with froyo .

now reading slowly i start from Triller rom, not from stock, someonea has start from a custom froyo rom or from that stock rom?
I don't see how it matters
I would think it shouldn't matter if you have a custom rom on your phone or not. both the v20 and v21 don't normally run on the thrill. so the stock rom would kind of be like a custom to begin with.
Cannot get past six percent on update process of the lg mobile tool with v20a. Gets to that point then stops what am i doing wrong
6%
I had the same problem. What I did was in the video at the bottom of the the first link. Leave the phone hooked up to the usb, pull the battery, while holding the vol up and power button, put the battery back in and let it vibrate indicating it's in d/l mode. and restart the update.
it worked but cant see the arrows only see the h and dont have connection
Are u using thrill or p920h?

Guys can I flash an Optimus 3D kdz to my LG Thrill?
I wanted to download the V10K zip and flash it, but it is no longer available to download... But I see some of the kdz are still online, can I flash them with the LG software?
Thanks!
yes you can. I have 20a on my Thrill. You lose your 4g in that case.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
I saw 10k link works.
Why does it loses 4g? In any case, I would still have 3.5g right? My data plan is of 1.5Mbps, so I would still have that right? I am not in the At&t network
when you flash kdz file from Optimus 3D you flash also baseband from O3D,and as the O3D does not have 4g,you lose your 4g.
If you flash 10k,you can flash the Thrill baseband then and re-enable 4g.
But there is no GB baseband for Thill yet,so if you want to install 20x or 21x,you will lose 4g.
I understand that, however my question remains, will I still be able to have my 1.5Mbps without 4g? I think 1.5Mbps is 3.5G!
Also, if I flash 21x, would I be able to return to my original Thrill rom?
You may try.
Yes you will be able to return back to stock.
I'm using the v20a from Brazil and the v21a flashed over it.I'm getting just as good a download as i did with the stock Rom. I've gotten as high as 6.whatever in the mornings when there isn't as much traffic in my area. To as low as .03 in the house. And yes you can go back to stock. Just use cwr and back up before you make anything on it first.

Great! Thanks for the input!
Recently flashed v20p and rooted using the latest ThrillSeeker ROM (love it by the way, great work) but because I use the phone on Tmobile i do not get the 3g/4g access because i don't have the correct baseband.
Before going to v20p, i had simply flashed the o3d v18a GB baseband and rooted with the Acurateam Ginger ROM. With that rom i was getting 3g and 4g speeds consistently with no issues, but for some reason superuser would deny root to ANYTHING that wasnt itself (except adb shell root requests) and i couldn't fix it no matter what i tried, so thats when i went with v20p and lost 3g/4g in the process.
I tried simply reflashing the o3d v18a baseband in hopes it would work, but it just broke reception all together.
So what I'm asking is: Can anyone provide me info on what baseband i can try to flash (with an easier process to do so, if possible) that will let me use the proper bands for tmobile?
I love the ThrillSeeker rom and am afraid to try and convert my phone to an o3d all together by flashing its firmware and roms but i feel that may be the proper thing to do.. but i have no idea if its the same process.

You must not use V20P as is based for the thrill only.
the one I use for my daughter's thrill on t-mobile is V20E
Ok I am going to post this because it worked for me several times. If it works for you, great, if not, sorry......I am assuming zero responsibility for bricking your phone ….. So I was thinking there should be a simple way to go back to stock 2.3.5 using just the "LGMobile Support Tool" The problem is that it won’t let you run the update tool if it sees that the operating system version is correct (i.e. running any rom that is 20p based) so what I did was download an O3D rom and placed it on the phone (ThiaiZO3DV2.7.1GB to be exact) I used CWM to install the rom. What this accomplished was to change the OS version but not the baseband. When the rom was loaded and working I turned on debugging and then used the "LGMobile Support Tool">>>(the tool can be downloaded from the LG web site) it will now update the phone to stock 2.3.5 without giving you the message that says your phone is up to date. If you get stuck in a boot loop (as I did ) just pull the battery put it back in and boot into stock recovery using volume down , 3d button and power and just do all the wipes then reboot….I hope this helps someone
Ok,
just to be clear you were coming from the Optimus 3D baseband and rom and successfully flashed to the US Thrill baseband and rom using this method?
I just saw that gingerbread is finally out for the Thrill and thought i'd flash back if there was an easy way. (I have been running the Optimus 3d baseband and defualt rom for quite a while now)

Then there isn't much reason to switch to v20p if you are already on gingerbread unless you miss the at&t bloatware

But aren't I missing one of the bands (or frequencies) that at&t uses?
I have never had too many troubles in service but I do notice I almost always have less bars than other At&t users in the same locations
No I was on the Thrill ATT baseband ....... This is just to go back to stock if you are already on US baseband....Sorry I should have been more clear..... Say you were using a custom rom like "AcuraTeam_v.20P" which was made for the thrill, and you wanted to go back to stock 2.3.5 but you didnt have a clockwork mod backup of it on your phone. If you were to try using the "LGMobile Support Tool" it would tell you that your phone was already up to date and didnt need updated. So to get around this without having to use KDZ files to get back to stock 2.3.5 you would install the O3D rom which changes the version number of the operating system which tricks the "LGMobile Support Tool" into going ahead and reloading the phone with the latest ATT update.
I have an AT&T captivate and when I install any rom after stock I have no signal and no apns available (unless I am on stock then I have great signal). It will let me manually enter an apn but it will not stick. I backed up my efs folder from KK4 and replaced it once I went to new rom. I have tried it from stock going to GB, ICS and JB with no luck at all. I can get any rom to load through CWM but no matter what I get no signal and have been reading and searching for 4 days now. Any help would be greatly appreciated! NJD316

Do you have a modem? What does it say in baseband version (in about phone)? If not, that would be the first thing to look into (flash one).
Is your IMEI fine?
All is back to stock (using Odin) and modem works and imei is good. I can make calls and use Data and WiFi no problem and it picks up my MicroCell. It is when I upgrade to GB, add CWM and try to go to ICS or JB. I have tried CM7, CM9, CM10, and SlimBean 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 and any time I upgrade I lose APNs and it won’t let me add one.

Because you need to flash a modem after flashing the ROM. Those ROMs don't flash a modem, therefor, after you wipe, you have no modem.
I have tried several modems (6 to be exact) and every time I flash the modem shows in the baseband but stillk no apns or signal, WiFi is fine though.

APNs don't just appear, they have to be manually entered and saved.
I know apns don't just appear (on most roms) and they have to be entered manually, in the first post I explained that part . I do appreciate your help on this and your patience and I have had my share of modding my cappy and my sgs2. Basically = I can bring it back to stock (Froyo) and it works fine, if I upgrade to GB or later (to include flashing modems) it shows in the baseband that the modem is there but I have no signal, no apns show and I can manually enter them but they don't stick after saving. I have copied the efs folder that contains the imei and replaced it as many threads have said and it still does not work. I have gone through the process of stock Froyo to JB 4 times with different roms and results are the same.

Umm, can you try flashing Odin KK4 with bootloaders and see if they stick? That being stock GB 2.3.5
Been through the KK4 process and that didn't work either to get to ICS or JB.

KK4 is what you should be going back to stock with instead of Froyo, that way you don't flash Bootloaders over and over, pretty much removing the chance to brick your phone.
Once you have the GB bootloaders, to go back to stock, you should use KK4 without bootloaders. (As long as your signal and such is fine on stock GB).
Now, which modem did you try? On JB, you should be flashing the I9000 modems: http://soggycashew.weebly.com/cm7miui--ics-modems.html
I flashed the ugkg3 without any success. I will try the entire process again when I get home. Any particular modem you recommend before I try that one again? I am in Kentucky, USA and there are no points on the website map that is on the link. Thanks Bud.:good:

I can't recommend modem, sadly. They act different on every device and in every area. I have great results with JK4 in the past but it's outdated now.
SO my plan is to start with KK4 (without bootloaders) bringing me to GB, get cwm loaded, flash a i900 modem, make sure signal is good and then I should be able to flash a JB rom from there?

Almost.
If you're on Froyo, flash KK4 with bootloaders. From there, if you need to go back to stock, use KK4 without bootloaders.
Once on GB, make sure you have signal and all his good. Flash Corn kernel and flash the JB ROM you wanna try as per their full instructions.
Finally, try flashing some modems to see which one gives you the best results.
YOU ROCK! It was the corn kernel step. I went from Froyo to Slim Bean 4.2.2 in less than 30 minutes. Thanks Bud!!!!!

Hi, could you please describe in easier terms how to do it?
Yesterday I was able to upgrade it from 2.3.5 to 4.2.2 and I LOVED IT but got no signal no service at all... i had to take it back to 2.3.5 and today I will try to do it with another stable ROM instead of the nightly that I tried before.
Any tips for me? Thanks a loooot in advanced!
You got no signal and no service simply because you did not follow SlimBean installation instructions.
