She battled 4th stage breast Cancer for 2 1/2 years...I wanted to share this with all of you ....66 years old. The cancer spread to her lungs , bones , blood , and the past 7 months her brain...hospice took over and she just wanted to come home, Hospice staff was so nice and helpful and helped with whatever we needed.
One of the things that this community has done for me was keeping my mind off of things....flashing rom's tweaking this and that....so this site has done wonders for me....thanks
Peace and God bless

I would like to say that time heals all.. But in the instance of a mother, It does not. You simply learn to deal with it better.
There is only one that you are born from, and if you were close, it will hurt always. The only thing I have found out that life does go on, and others around you need you.
Friends and Relatives will dissapear and lose contact, those here and those gone, but you must always consider that It is the only thing certain in life. It is a circle. you come, and you go.
In our beliefs, We believe that we are sent to endure life on this world, and then God calls us all back to be with him when it is your time.. be it short...or be it long..
Memorable dates will be hardest of all.. but you will get through. Those days will come.. and they will go.
You have our thoughts at this time.
Be Strong...But also have time to remember her...Do not put off your emotions.. It is best to talk to those around you, not act the "man that can handle it all" It helps no-one..and definatly not you in the long run.
You have my sympathy as someone who recently lost their mother to cancer also.
My prayers and condolences go out to you and to your family.

I'm quite sure many of you have no idea who I am, but that's alright. I wouldn't expect you to.
Just wanted to give my appreciation to the MANY MANY devs here, in thanks for making my old devices much more than the manufacturers intended them to be.
I'll be serving one year of Active Army Duty (Deployment) in the Middle-East & Surrounding areas, hopefully still enjoying my HTC HD7, until around July of 2012.
I'll miss xda, as it's been one of my other homes for a little over two years now.
Love you guys, see you soon!
Have a great trip Be safe now!

Take care! Thank you for serving!
Good luck and be safe. I had the luxury of serving during peacetime, and I tip my hat to guys who are really putting it on the line.
It is a shame that troops are deployed without an imminent reason anyways..
have a great trip

I know this isn't about Android but I post this here because you will most likely see it here and it is important.
Mods feel free to move it to General if you feel it is appropriate.
As of 04/27 I need to take a couple days off away from Android to take care of some family members and what all happened today is very sad but yet remarkable.
My 5 year old nephew died after falling into a pond he accidentally ran into while playing with his dogs. My sister (his mother) found him face down with no pulse and no breathing. He was technically gone but was literally brought back to life by the rescue squad.
He was rushed to the hospital where he is alive and was watching a movie when I left.
Afterwards his grandmother had a mild heart attack from shock of the incident. She was rushed to the hospital where she is alive and was sleeping when I left.
Then my nephew's dad crashed his car in a head-on collision on the way to the hospital. He is fine, nothing bad happened and car is hardly damaged. It is but not too noticeable.
Too much for one day and I need to be with them. I will get on and talk in the shoutbox occasionally but don't expect to hear much out of me.
Please keep them in your prayers over the next few days.
Thank you.
--Sam
UPDATE ON APRIL 29: Just got a call from Zach's dad! He is being released from the hospital today and he is running around and talking to people and he seems to be back to Zach.
He obviously remembers something about what happened because if he is asked if he remembers anything he simply replies "I don't want to talk about it."
His grandmother has not been released and looks like she won't be released today.

Be with your family bro..tell that 5yr old no he doesn't have superpowers now..sometimes when life smacks ya in the face and takes a wiz on you,you have to take a step back to soak it all in and plan your course of direction..im not a religious man and I am not saying that to be a jerk but instead of praying i will damb sure tip a beer for you and your family..
Sorry to hear all the bad news. I'm glad that everyone is all right and wish them the speediest recovery, as does everyone here, i'm sure.
I'll give both my boys an extra hug and try to remember how easily these horrible things can happen.
I hope your nephew, not to mention his grandmother, recovers fully and everyone's lives get back to normal.

My sister said this to all who thought about my nephew (her son):
"Thank you to everyone who prayed and thought about Zach. Yesterday was the worst day of my life , never take your life or family for granted because in a split second , they could be taken from you. Zach is on the road to speedy recovery. Thank you Jesus."

Hell, I spend more time on here than I do with most of my actual family (only holidays with them but most days on here). I wish everybody in your family the best and in the event your aunt passes, I'm not much for prayer but I offer my condolences.
Thanks

Sorry to hear that mate. My condolence.
Very sorry to hear that...my condolences...
I've been through it with my wife's late grandmother. She died last year of stomach and liver cancer, we helped nurse her at her home in the last few weeks of her life.
My thoughts are with you and your family. Nothing we can say can really help, but concentrate on the good memories, even while you are in hospital with her.
If you need to cry then cry, it is part of the healing process.
Doctor has told us 2 weeks Max in hospital and she requested to go home
