I upgraded from v20c to v20p and I know that the 3d button in v20p lets you control the shutter while in the stock camera app but it seems that in v20p it just changes from 2d to 3d modes. I was wondering if there's a way to set this in v20p and if not will the v20c app work with v20p. Also, if it is compatible, does anyone have it?
If you edit the flex.XML file to say USA instead of US it will work again. Don't understand why, but it works.
In which folder is the flex.xml file found?

in the folder \system\etc\flex
That worked, thank you.

So I tried this beta app out. Played every file possible, or at least tried to, and nothing! It seems to work for everyone else on diff handsets. Anyone else try this?
Redownloaded and installed a few times and nothing.

It may be that the developer has not yet updated the app to support the Mytouch Slide hardware...email the dev and ask the to add support for your device...

I thought about it but the app is a closed beta that got leaked and I'm 95% sure he only speaks chinese and uses translation tools.

i read it was based off processor, magic, dream, hero wont work as they dont support it.
seems to work for most of my movies, have several mpgs and avi files that it played decently, i have had a few problems with it lagging in audio or audio cutting in and out, and only one file refused to play at all(and by that i mean no sound and ~1fps while counter at bottome went as normally would)
I just downloaded it. I'm at work so I only have 2 .avi files to try out but they both worked great and when you move it to another point it starts almost instantly. Such a great app.
I see a test "FM Radio Test" when I access HiddenMenu with a shortcut I created with "Any Cut" from the app store.
I cant get it to work there.
I also downloaded Spirit FM Radio its claims there is no fm chip...
Sure seems like it has been removed.
I can find some sites listing the LG Thrill as having one.
Yea I have seen a bunch of Sites listing this phone as having FM Radio too but I have yet to find anywhere in the device where it says that or even where the actual app exists.
no radio is really disappointing me╰_╯, so anyone knows at&t will support in the comming 2.3 update?
I dont see the APP.
I don't see the APP you referring to. Can you tell me what it is called? thanks..
Not seeing this app either. Really missing it as I used one on my eXpo.

Hey guys I just got my thrill today. I don't know if there is any rom's currently able to run on this device but I do have the source code downloaded and plan on trying to create a rom but has there been a full back method found yet like tegra2 devices have nvflash?
Best of luck. Waiting for it.

You can make nandroid backups available through CWM, check out designgear's thread
Edit: Oh yeah, and my suggestion for a ROM? I would love a ROM that comes debloated, deodexed and zip aligned (just for easier theming - that does make theming / sharing themes easier, right?), has the speed tweeks/optimizations available for the Optimus 3D, obviously AT&T radio, and if I can dream a little, several more preinstalled fonts, LP or a psuedo gingerbready launcher, and some light theming with some matching backgrounds* and a matching bootup animation. A kernel that allows for OC would be nice to have I guess, but I can't imagine using it to be honest; the battery life is so bad already.
Good luck!
*If you know what colors you're using, I'd be happy to find or create matching backgrounds and/or a boot animation if you want.
If Possible and a big IF considering I have yet to see a device not HTC Branded that uses Sense but Would love to see a sense type Rom IF possible. Also would love an OC kernel considering battery isn't really an issue for me considering I am Always by a power source, that and I sit at home all day lol. Even if I didn't I would probably Underclock and Undervolt for battery Life than OC at night when I got home and wanted to do stuff on the phone.
I am looking through everything for the LG Optimus and I'm scouring the Texas Instruments site to see if I can find something there.
call recording funtion
can you add call recording funtion on your rom ?
I think that was already responded to. But from my understanding its too much work so get a 3rd party app

HEHE yes thank you so so much
I was able to get it to work most of the way but missing the .dll file for the p925 instead of p920 and I can't get the stupid flashtool it provides to even startup on my pc. I'm on win 7. I'm going to harrass the hell out of LG and see if I can pull some kind of info from them
Looks like they screwed up the side 3D button. It doesn't act as the shutter release like on the Rogers rom. Plus it's got a quick push to bring up the 3D gallery.

It never acted as shutter for me on Rogers. Sad to hear its quick still though. On the other hand holding the home button for changing apps is still quick as opposed to Rogers slow as hell.
It only worked for me after changing the flex.XML file.
Not too sure why but I just changed the US to USA and everything works. You can even use lestats flex.XML and it should work.
Ninja edit:
I noticed that with the stock flex.XML file the button doesn't work the way it should AND the option to go into airplane mode appears in the pull down menu. After adjusting the flex file that option goes away and the button acts ad a shutter and won't pull up 3D Space unless long-pressed

Okay how stupid is that I had add the A to the flex file in the thing works just fine

Anyone on outlay tried it yet? It's got a new refreshed design and fixed bugs and can be downloaded straight from the play store to any 4.4 or over device. In currently on jelly bean so I haven't tried it yet

Now that I'm on kitkat I tried it and its pretty nice. Only issue for me is I can't turn off the shutter sound even when the phone is in silent mode which is annoying for me. I hope lg starts adding it's apps to the play store and updating then from there. It'd be nice to see an improved camera app from them

I'm kind of digging on the Google camera right now. Photosphere, a working HDR, and the face blur thing is pretty sweet.
On the most recent carbon build and the camera is flawless so far

Wierd I just installed it. It's the nexus 7 one right? I hit the icon and it brings up my stock lg one.
edit: I'm slow. Haha I found the right one.

Can anyone tell me how to shut off shutter sound? I saw stuff about deleting a line in system files but this is installed as a user app so I'm not sure how. Would it have to be decompiled and edited?

I'm on CM11 based on 4.4.2 by JackpotCalvin with this installed and I don't have a shutter sound...I don't even know how to turn it on.
I know I have my shutter sound turned off on the stock camera, and my sound profile set to vibrate, and my sound turned off for music/video/etc, if that helps.

You would need to be rooted. Use root browser or some other browser application that can access the system directory. go to system/media/audio/ui and rename the camera_click.ogg sound to something else.
