I have been searching for a solution, but haven't found any..
I flashed to kingdroid rom a while ago from stock GB with abyss kernel. Everything went fine, and later wanted to try a new rom.
So I wiped the data and factory reset in CWM and tried to restore the old stock GB. I don't know if anything went wrong in that process, but now I can't even turn on the phone? I can't boot up CWM either?

Can you enter download mode??If so flash any GB rom.If the flash is getting stuck at factoryfs or somewhere for long than 15 mins..you have superbricked your phone by doing a wipe.Only way is to replace the mobo or trying this
yeah go on download mode. Use odin pc. It will raise the counter, but its much better than a brick note.. Hehe
Download mode is volume down, home key and turn on key right?
Doesnt work.. how long is I supposed to hold it in?
And what is a MOBO?
Easy ... Don't Panic

The First Thing you did was right, since you did the wipe using the AbyssKernel kernel, witch was safe and away from the HardBrick Thing around the Stock ICS Kernel.
But what you did wrong, is that you did wipe and restore using the Kernel inside the rom you used, wich of course was in cause !!!! so Here is what you will do, just Follow the Steps in My following Post, and you are done

Glad to hear kimifender!
Sorry for not being that bright in all this.. But how can I do all the instructions when I can't turn the phone on? I can't find the sdcards on my computer either when i connect the phone to the computer
Sounds like you have a big paperweight. You need to somehow get it to a Samsung repair center to get the motherboard replaced. There's a thread in the General section that MIGHT help revive it, but no guarantees.
Always make sure you read, read, read before you flash anything. Like other people said, the restore is what bricked it.

=> Superbrick.
So there is no way I can revive my phone?
Maybe im just not turning it on the right way?

If you're pushing the power button, you are turning it on. If you are holding down volume up/down + power + home button you are trying to put it in download/recovery.
Sorry, but it sounds like it is a paperweight/brick.

Check battery. make sure it still has power. Pull out and leave out 5 minutes and replace it back as well.
Then turn it on and try to enter download mode (Home volume-down and power) and connect it to PC odin (even in case the screen does not turn on) and see the yellow box is there. If there is, you can flash kernel that has CWM as well, and there is hope to revive it.
If you cannot get odin to see it, then SS service is the only way.

Well Of course, If your phone is not ON, it won't show any usb storage on the PC.
Don't Give up Yet !!!
Are you sure your phone has enough battery charge,
Not Sure? well Do this :
- Keep your phone under AC Battery Charger (no USB charging) for at least 45 min.
- Take Off the Battery for at least 10s seconde,
put it back, Then try to to enter to download mode directly : Vol down + Power + Home Button at the same time untill you see the Yellow Dowload Logo, Don't Try to turn your phone on by Pressing the power Button as Normally, It Simply won't turn on !!
Keep taking the Battery Off and Back untill it works, believe me this happened before.
How much would it cost to get it fixed?
How much would a new motherboard cost?

Want to post fast how i brickt my phone with ics and kernel problems and wipe going wrong.
Cwm still working but nothing is going anymore.
In cwm flash a franco kernel (i used Franco kernel 10 because had it on my sd card) then reboot into recovery and flash the Abys kernel.
Reboot into recovery and install your rom or restore an backup you made.
I hope sthis works for all.

Hi all. I have a problem with an S5830 which was on 2.3.6 Stock+Root. It was network locked (even if with the code to check it said every lock was off), so I tried the factory reset solution listed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9006090&postcount=1 using the code *2767*3855#. After the reboot my phone got stuck in a bootloop. I tried flashing with Odin many different fw, with and without data.rfs just to be sure it wasn't corrupted, but my phone just keep looping after the samsung logo.
Is there an easy way to fix it?
Thanks
Just in case it can be useful, more details:
1) After the Odin autoreboot it keeps lopping without even displaying the samsung logo (display just go on and off), but if i remove/insert battery and turn it on it loops after the samsung logo.
2) Download mode, Special download, and Ramdump mode works, but Recovery mode don't.

Go to www.themythace.com/flash-stock-rom.html & follow the steps. After flashing, odin shows, closing serial port & rebooting device or something like that. Wait until pass appears. This time your device ends up in a boot loop. Now, take off battery & go back to downloading mode & reflash via odin. This time your device might boot. Atleast for me it did...
I never had a head ache & some one recommended me rooting !!!
Hmmm I'm afraid yours is bricked, though not unfixable.
When in odin did you use the right .ops file ?
Also, which recovery were you using ?
It is possible that your partitions are corrupted.

I used the correct Cooperv1 ops (I had flashed with it other times when I was trying custom roms). I was using CWM as recovery. Also I tought about the partition getting corrupted, that's why I downloaded an old stock rom with all the filesystem .rfs files (including data) to recreate them, but still it didn't work. At this point my only guess is that efs got corrupted in some way (I even have a backup of it but dunno how to restore it, did it with the "cat xxx > /file" procedure while tring to get the network unlock code).
When you say it's not unfixable, what you mean exactly? Anything that I can do at home without sending it to Samsung?
Thanks for your time.
Hmmm. I suspect your guess is right, perhaps someone else may know how to restore it.
I had to send mine to Samsung, and although they said they gave me a new motherboard I suspect they simply used jtag.

Oh then it wouldn't help. I can boot in download mode, but flashing a stock rom didn't fix it. I tried several times.

I tried many times, with different roms, one package and not. Nothing fixed it. If it's the efs corrupted I think there is nothing you can do, even if I can go in download mode.
I think there is a way to flash cwm recovery via Odin you could try that, it could fix it but I'm not to sure but it's always worth ago
And when using Odin you just need ops file checked and one package checked and untick the first box were the three boxes are

Hi,
I was running the JellyBam installer having rooted using a guide at cursed4eva, using cwm.zip. The only thing I'm unsure of is because the phone was owned before me, whether a custom kernel was installed (perhaps Franco as it was on the sd card)... I wiped everything using recovery mode, and ran cwm.zip, then followed the guide. Everything was going fine, until during the installer it asked if I want to update a kernel or keep the kernel thats already on, but not knowing what to do and not being able to find anything on the internet, I just left it at the default option and updated the kernel. It remained on 2% while uncompressing the image file, but when I looked my phone had turned off and was unresponsive. I was going from rooted stock 4.04. Both recovery mode and download mode aren't available...
Is it likely to be hard-bricked or softbricked, and what do you suggest doing? I haven't had it over a year, so under UK law I should still have warranty on it, right?
Please help!
Warm regards,
Lee
Sounds more like a superbrick.. It's wells known that cwm.zip adviced by cursed4eva in YouTube its dangerous and can trigger the emmc bug.. I don't know why that dude haven't remove that video so far..
Try removing the battery for some minutes and then turn on the device in odin mode (power +volume down +home) and flash a stock gingerbread with pc odin

You need to put the device in odin mode (volume down + home + Power until a warning shows up) when the warning appear on the screen release everything and press volume up to confirm.. Once in odin mode you can plug the device to the pc.
But before that you need to install either kies or samsung drivers in your pc.. You can find samsung drivers in Dr ketans toolbox in general section.. Once done with this, connect the device and wait for Windows to setup the device..
Once donde you can open odin.. And a yellow block should turn on In the upper left corner..

Thanks for your quick reply. I tried putting my device into Odin mode, but nothing appeared on the screen (and I held it for about a minute!). I've downloaded the Samsung Drivers, just to double check that it was already installed, and it was.
I can't get anything whatsoever on the screen. I don't even know if it's working at all... I can't get anything even though it's plugged into the mains. Any help would be greatly appreciated
First of all try to charge the battery externally using other phone or a ext charger. make sure there is juice on the battery and try to go to download mode again. battery might not get charged in that phone...
Once that done and still the phone is unresponsive .., no indication of screen display at all.like the N7000 logo (vol dwn+pwr+home) or (vol up+power+home), then it may be hard bricked and need a motherboard replacement .. I guess the samsung warranty is from the date of purchase as on the cash memo
Many thanks. I've had it plugged in and I can feel its warm so it must be charging. I've also tried a replacement battery to no avail. I guess it must be completely bricked. If Samsung only replace the motherboard then I'll try the retailer first, worth a try!
Many thanks for your help

Philz kernel is only for stock samsung roms. If the new phone you go is on stock ICS rom, then install this kernel from stock recovery. This will give you root.
The boot into recovery and do all wipes ( factory reset and wipe cache partition dalvik cache)
then go to mounts & storage and do format /system, format/data, format/preload.
then go to Install Zip and install the rom
This rom wont work with Philz kernel. so you need to use the kernel included in the ROM or Hydracore V7.

Ok thank you for your help! I'll start now and let you know how it goes. Is there anything in this process that I need to be careful to ensure I don't brick it (other than using cwm.zip!)?
Right....here goes..
Now my Note is stuck on 'Samsung GALAXY NOTE GT-N7000' screen..no samsung screen etc..been on since 30 mins or so.
way before this i was on LLXT5 samsung official firmware, last active scrren on my phone was telling me my memory card is spoilt..will need to format..
So what i did was to power off the phone..take out memory card and load into my com..well it works..(32gb)
when i try to power up it stuck on the above...no samsung screen etc..
Yes have try charging..(still can charge when phone is off.)
so i go into recovery mode..power up thing..i can only go reboot..cant do a restore etc..i go have a ultimate jellybean V6 zip inside..but can't be read..
so next i use ODIN to flash to XXLT5 again..well i work..as in flashing..green and everything..but..after reboot..im still stuck on the samsung ...n7000 screen...
so yeah....anyway to fix this? have done some reading on this over XDA but dun seems to work..so far i have done what im suppose to do...
much help needed!! thanks all!
looks like bootloop issue, I would suggest wipe cache.
best from safe kernel as stock is not guaranteed. However if you feel lucky.
get into recovery by pressing volume up, power and homekey button at same time when switching on, keep pressed until recovery boots.
if cache doesnt work, factory reset from recovery.
if that doesnt work warrantee at service centre
maybe go warrantee first because Samsung needs to know they made buggy software :'(
thanks for replying!
ohhh boy! i have to bypass the last option...export set here..lol!!!!!!!
check my addition to previous message, warrantee maybe first.
Thanks !! Got it working somehow..hopefully stay that way! Thanks again!!

c) Accidentally flash something dodgy via ODIN
d) Some other random occurence
To test this feature you just need to start with your phone turned off... Best way to be sure is to remove the battery.
Then
1. Put battery back in
2. Press and hold Volume Up + Home Key
3. Continue holding those buttons and then press and hold power button.
4. When you see the logo pop up release power button ONLY
5. Keep holding two buttons from step 2 until you enter recovery mode.
I hope this helps!
Nope not one button combo works i tried it all.

DUDE!!!! I have the samsung galaxy s4 att sgh-i337. I recently just tried flashing uxylon from the goo manager . I did standard procedure of factory reset twice, then cache and dalvik cache wipe two times. Just so happens as Im waiting for uXylon or whatever its spelled to flash , my phone decides to stay at the boot screen.... At this point im sweating. After a few minutes i take the battery out and restart regularly . I restart and wait 10 minutes thinking it still may flash uxylon. NOPE. :,( Now im getting really scared. I try to the custom recovery mode.... no twrp OR SYSTEM RECOVERY .... Now Im Falling over scared. I take out battery try again. power , home , volume up , repeatedly . It wont even say booting recovery it only says recovery options then black screen untill I release the buttons. . Then bootloop to logo no recovery. Now Im frantic. I look up adam outler's page on ODIN recovery with stock firmware and ddownload ucuadml and ucuamdb not knwoing which , if either of them , would flash through ODIN. So im frantically flying through the web for 3 hours searching some magic button combo or something that may help me just reach my recoveries in twrp (since the computer would not recognize even in download mode) . I look everywhere. EVERYWHERE. This point i figure i can try odin and its my last chance. Im waiting on the firware to download right now to this second as I type . Somehow God magically guided me to this page though ... because I did about 300 google searches looking for a way to get my twrp back and use my nandroids. NOTHING until now..... I run across this post and move down and come across your post. "have you tried this button combo ? " I read the next comment . "NO no combos worked." Clciked forward a few pages and found nothing. Im giving up ... its over... Either ODIN will work and flash my stock firmware or I will have no way to turn my paper weight back into a cell phone. As Im click the back button i come across THIS post YOUR actual comment. I read it and think ... I didnt try that. I tried it the way you posted. Home + volume up ... nothing happens .... I add the power button and it boots same way as before booloop. Im infuriated..... I press it again the way you posted and suddenly ..... TWRP's beautiful blue screen pops up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I rostroe my cleanROM 1.0 nand and Im back up . I seriously just want to thank you for posting this little comment that you probably thought would never really help anyone at all. This truly TRULY just saved my phone . I mean you just saved my day , brother. Seriously thank you . Im so happy right now it's like I bought a brand new s4 lol. Thank you so much buddy. Real talk. :highfive:

find cf root, or use semaphore kernel
bootloop becoz wrong kernel flashed, knowing ur build number is important to determine which cf root u needed
if u find da suitable kernel, bootloop will fix by flashing thru odin, but ur sayin u dont even know da version here, so it become more difficult.
here list of cf root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
but as i said before da difficulty now is u dont even know ur build number n version but ur sayin u wanna backup ur app data but ur fone bootloop now.
