Hello, anyone using de OS Slim 3.2 in a Captivate is having trouble with de GMail app?? When I try to open it a pop up window appears saying "GMail app has been stopped" does anyone know what is the problem???
I'm not running ics slim ROM but anytime an app force closes first clear its data and see if that works. If not uninstall and reinstall. Try fixing permissions in recovery. If none of that allows it to work, re flash the google apps zip

Clear app data. If that doesn't work clean cache and dalvik in recovery.

after some testing with some rom out there i can say that android market is kinda bugged.
everytime i reboot my phone and i open market, all my apps are gone. Nothing is listed in download page of market. Every time i need to clear market data and restart it. Any fix for it? Can be related to the new directory of /dbdata/databases and not data/data?

I have a similar issue sometimes after installing a new rom....The best way to fix it I have found is to install a new app from the market
This disease is contagious. Even smart and seasoned members can't distinguish Q/A and DEVELOPMENT forum.

Hey guys,
Just installed Paragon 5.1 on my phone, and had a question...how do I reinstall stock apps? I really liked Samsung IM that shipped on the Rogers ROM, for instance - however when I try to run it after having "reinstalled" it (moved the apk to /system/app) it just says that the Seven service is unavailable. Is there an easy way to reinstall these apps on a custom ROM? Or am I outta luck?
PS. I tried searching the forums first, but searching causes an FC on my phone for some reason.

Actually, you seem to be in luck. In the themes & apps thread, Trusselo posted the deodexed versions of those .apk's. You should be able to drop the seven.apk in your ROM and have it work again. Here's the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960269

here's my problem:
I installed the froyomod v2.9.2 from 89luca89. It was working pretty well, by far the fastest ROM i installed on my milestone, but i got one problem. When i try to install the facebook app, the install button on the market app doesn't show up. I search for the app, it appears on the results, but when i click on it, the description show up but without the install button. Someone got the same problem? I searched the forum but didn't find any related problem.

I had the same thing happen with the "Car Home" app from Google. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the app through TitaniumBackup.
I solved it just by cleaning the market app data. Dont have a clue why this happened. Thanks for the help.

I do have some problems with xTREME 4.0/4.1:
Under settings I should find rXTREME settings - but there is no entry!
I want to use slim version without any unnecessary apps.
There is also no OTA app or Update me.
What can I do to fix these problems?

You are in the right section.
It does that if I install jkay mod. Other wise xtreme menu appears.

4.0 had the problem where the menu would not show at all if Jkay was selected in Aroma.
4.1 had fixed this on mine, have you tried clearing your cache's and starting again?
I found several inverted apps that work for this phone, but can't find ones for Gmail or Chrome that work. Does anyone have black versions that work?

I'm using TBO's inverted GMail on my M8 right now and works perfectly....haven't tried Chrome yet but I would be highly surprised if it didn't work for us^^

I searched and found those threads (and installed the TBO app as well), but was unable to get an inverted Gmail app that worked for me.

Can you point me to the Gmail.apk you used? I've tried the Team Blackout version on Viper ROM and Renovate ROM and in both cases, after uninstalling the original Gmail app and installing the blacked-out apk, when I try to open it I just get an instantaneous force close before the app even opens. "Unfortunately, Gmail has stopped." Reboots don't change anything either, unfortunately. Also tried with and without XPosed framework installed. Any ideas?

I'm guessing you have the right file but it's designed for AOSP, like the ROM I'm running. You listed 2 Sense-based ROMs so that's what leads me to believe it...that and that the download links(that I've rfound) are usually within an AOSP ROM thread.
