Hi guys,
i have a little problem on my OB that nags me...
I noticed that when I'm using a music player that uses Android's built-in Media Scanner i get some errors in my Music Library...
For example when i'm in an Artist folder, I have two or more albums with the same name in which all the songs, that should have been in only one, are divided...
But if use a player as PowerAmp that has its own media scanner the problem is gone...
There's a way to fix that?
If the answer to previous question is negative, do you know a good player that has its own media scanner as poweramp? (ttpod exluded because is a crap)
I'm on Zeus 6.11o...
Thanks and sorry for my english...

Since a few days ago, when I sync music onto my Diamond (I use WMP since I convert my MP3s to WMA), the album tracks are always mixed up. My previous syncs kept the album listings intact, but now they're random.
Does anyone know what causes this problem and if there's any solutions? Thanks.
EDIT: Does the TF3D Music Tab follow music tags? I'm assuming it isn't for some of my music since I have it properly tagged for track listings.
Track order...
I use WMA as I've always used Media Player when ripping my CD's to my PC. You're right, the tracks do get mixed up with HTC's music player (it may be the tags, I don't know... perhaps they assume we're all MP3 users!).
The best way to sync them (in my opinion), is to first create a new playlist within Windows Media Player (name it the same as the album), drag whichever album it is you want on your device into the playlist (the right hand pane in media player), then drag the playlist you've just created into the sync window (rather than the album itself). This will keep your tracks in the order they're meant to be in.
You may also need to rename the album art on your device because Windows Media Player sometimes calls the art Album_Art{blah, blah, blah...}, which admitedly seems a very descriptive file name for what it is, but HTC's Music Player won't recognise it, so the album art needs to be renamed 'Folder'.
Sorry for the long-winded answer. Hope it helps.
Thanks for the tip. Seems to help.
I still wonder what causes this to happen, gets annoying.
I had the same problem with my albums. I found out that TF3D sorts the music files by their track number tag.
So check your track tag, and number the tracks the way you want them to be sorted.
Hi, does anyone know how to resolve this issue properly? I mean, How to list and play WMA album tracks on Diamond correctly by track number? Because for MP3 it works fine, why for WMA not? File names and Tags are ok and works perfect in WMP, thanx for infos...
My X1 shows the Sound files of my installed Games&Apps in Media Player, X-Panel Player etc please help me to fix this.. very annoying
Already tried to hide the game folder, but then the phone doesnt start any app or game from this folder, please i want to listen only to my songs not to these damn game sound files, it sucks so much
............ damn this is so annoying.. i'll flash a new rom
Don't use Media player. It was very annoying for me, too, so now I am using Nitrogen - for me the best mp3 player and Core player for movies (it can play divx movies instead of MP).
thank you, coreplayer already installed damn great software
thanks, i didn't know nitrogen, will try it out now
see ya
Hi all,
I am now having difficulties to add music folders onto the stock music player on gal not.
Currently i am using poweramp it is much easier, but i have issue when playing a song then the poweramp gets hung. It cannot skip and need to reboot the phone.
If anybody out there can help me please share me the knowledge.
Thank you
BR
Where are your music folders?
I have the opposite problem. The stock player includes every MP3 file on my phone, but some of my MP3s aren't music and I don't want them in the music player.
The stock player should just scan your whole phone and include any MP3s it finds. I don't think there is a way to tell it which folders to include or ignore.
Add a .nomedia file in the folders it shouldn't include.
@beanr2s
Open stock music player - menu - setting - music menu - check mark on folder
thats it.
Hi guys,
Wondered if you could help in suggesting a good music player besides the standard MIUI one, (I'm on an MIUI rom), that plays almost everything especially music which has been ripped of YouTube into a MP3 format via an unnamed YouTube rip app. MIUI music player thinks they are all videos but on other roms with galaxy s standard music player recognizes them as music so makes it much easier to play them all.

Try doubletwist or poweramp, google play music should work too.
I like player pro.. mostly because of its feature of selecting the music folders.. only files in the folders you have selected will be shown in the music library
I have suddenly gotten a wierd problem with the stock music player where all my songs have duplicate entries but only one of them work
Is there any refresh option on the build-in music library?
EDIT:
Please delete. I have found a solution myself.
Solution I found.
Use setting in PlayerPRO and restrict music folders to SD card and do a library refresh
