So I can just install over the basic Superuser I have, any real benefit

@The Crow1372,
I think the new SU is optimised for ICS. You have to uninstall SU by chainsdd before you install the new super user. There's no problem with the new SU. I've tried it on Nikhil's ICS ROM. Please check the super SU forum here:

Uh honestly I'm not a noob and I'm not new to android and rooting. Kernels and all that. But this nexus one I can't find anything to root it on 2.3.3. I tried adb. I tried unlocking my boot loader to load cwm on it. Nothing. Any help?

Have you tried SuperOneClick?
Yeah it force closes.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium
I even tried running it on Compatibility mode and ran by admin.

Any other methods I'm missing or something?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Try SUPERBOOT for 2.3.3
Or else use the passimg method

Do you have a link?

What's the passing method? I'd rather do that.

If you got a command error, then there's something wrong with the command you entered, not with the phone. Most likely a typo, or file location problem...
Try again, and post the error...

With the unlocked bootloader yes. And root. No S-Off though.

So I tried making cm7 the dodgiest way possible and the legend developer bigbearevo switched a few things around and there's a 1 in 1,000,000 chance it'll boot or install. It's CM7 from the marvel (Wildfire S) and I'm posting this thread because I just recieved a PM with the modded version from BB and I cant test it because I'm holidaying and am relying on not much 2G space.

Idk I used a weird tutorial and bigbear said it wouldn't work. Then he sent me a link with his mod and said that it might just boot.

Hi all,
All the roms other than aokp rom are getting stuck at boot.
Tried everything, wiping cache, and delvik cache, system, data. Ran super wipe script too. Flashed boot also. I even did s on again and then again rooted with s off. Not even working with HTC del unlocked bootloader.
The screen is getting stuck at boot.
Please help.

Try wiping all partitions except sd card and install the Rom again

I am new here too. But if you wanna gain attention of big guys in the forum. You'll have to mention lot more details like your hboot version, recovery, providing logcats(if necessary).
