[Q]Unlocking with custom rom

Just tried to unlock my hand set using vodafone online unlocking service but it just keep saying "Network unlock request unsuccessful" . I double checked my IMEI no and generated unlock code twice to makesure.... does custom rom has any effect on unlocking devices afterwards? Thanks in advance

theres a few unlclockers on the market, make sure you have got busy box installed....

No signal when locking Bootloader

Hi. My bootloader is unlocked but when i relock the bootloader i get no signal. Plz help!

Relock ur bootloader..
Next time Run mmsc_semc.cmd...Do not run mmsc_semc2.cmd.

its easily to try another ROM if your still unlock
make sure if your sim card still inside your phone while you relock it
u can use msm7227_semc to take your signal back..i forget the link u can search it

[Q] Changing providers and unlocking phone

I might need to change service providers soon because Koodo is just sucking right now. As such, my phone needs to be unlocked. I would be paying Koodo for the service so that I don't have to run the risk of bricking my S5830D (can you brick your phone attempting to unlock it?). However, my little Ace is running CM9.1 RC4.1 by Wayland_ACE.
I don't know the SIM unlocking procedure and I was wondering if I would need to flash back Koodo's Stock ROM (where can I get that by the way?) and unroot it to have it unlocked.
I also heard of unlock codes around these forums and was wondering what they were, does Koodo just give me a code that I enter somewhere to SIM unlock? Please give me any information that you can on this matter.
Koodo charges $50 to unlock the SIM. Is there a safe and simpler less expensive method to unlock the SIM?

Haha ok. I borrowed the gf's sim when i did mine. It feels good to have the freedom to use any network, especially when you own the phone. :sly:

Hi, anyone here facing same problems with me? or do you have any solution other than purchase the code?
this only happened when I install ICS or JB rom... no issue on GB
anyway, i'm using DIGI telco from malaysia

can you just nor press "cancel"
if not just flash another rom. you will be fine

problem is not with network... so which ROM you are using? how come you coming to that problem, give in detail... and any way we also sometime face the same problem and by canceling the same we start to use mobile again with active 3g

Be sure ur not lock ur sim with password before flash anything, or ull be stuck with sim pin request...

[Q] no boot with sim?

Hi I think its time to ask for help..... I flashed revolution stripped rom on my brothers phone its rooted, htcdev unlocked s-on. Works great without simcard but bootloops when I put 1 in? Tried my bell sim still same the simlock says failed on the bootlader what did I do wrong please help?

Bit more reading do I need a gold card? Y are htc so complicated roll on s4

HTC desire c should work with any sim try flashing another ROM if the problem persists its probably a problem wiht phone or SIM!

I went back to stock and everything is fine thanx.
