Can someone recommend a good car mount for the Streak 7 with an Otterbox commuter case on it? I would love to mount the things behind the steering wheel in my Saturn Ion.
Don't know if this will fit with the Otterbox case, but this one's the generic for the S7 (don't think there's a purpose built one):

I was looking at this. Has anyone used it before with the Dell Streak 7? I'm just worried the tablet will be in my way too much because the arm on that mount looks short.
I've been fond of the SlipGrip car mounts. I currently use one for my Streak 5 with an Otterbox Defender case, and I plan to buy one for my newly acquired Streak 7.
Here's a link to their car mount for the Streak 7 w/Otterbox Commuter case:

Scosche dashDock for tablets looks pretty nice. I just ordered one. I'll report back when I get it. $29.00 + $6.50 for delivery direct from Scosche web site.

I've been looking for a mount that will hold the 7 between the headrests of the front seats... anybody used anything like that so far?

Did you ever get this? If you did please report back on it. Thank!
I just got a bluetooth OBDII adapter to use with Torque so now I'm really itching to get a car mount.
I also found this, which looks interesting considering it's only $20 shipped:
Navitech Firm Grip 360 degree Adjustable Mount Cradle
Has anyone picked one of these up?
CAREFUL, that SlipGrip car docks are only the docks, no case is included.

I alrady have a case. I'm just looking for a dock that will work with the case. I'm not rushing into getting one. I would rather get some feedback from someone who has one first.

I just got the SlipGrip dock for using with Commuter. It's great quality to be honest. Holds the Streak very tight and offers flexible adjustments.
The suction cup holds very well and tight. It might take you a bit to get the perfect position in the car.
I will snap some photos later today.
Silicone Sleeve on ChargerCity Tablet Vent Mount
for my Streak 7, I have the Silicone Sleeve Gel Skin Cover Case using the ChargerCity Tablet Vent Mount, both from ebay. So far, so good. I find the windshield mounts never works out for me, falls off often

Here you go. The one I ordered is for using with the Commuter case.
The dock is very well built. Although it took a while to find the perfect spot and adjustment, but once set, it's great.
Oh yes the suction cup does suck well

Thanks for the info! I may be ordering this soon myself lol
I have been searching ebay for a holster that will fit the Commuter (one than can be put both on screen and back) and while there is none of them making a claim like that, I was wondering if maybe I could try a few cheapo ones that come with other cases and get lucky or if maybe others would try their cheapo one and get lucky. We could all report back if one of them worked or not and maybe eventually we would find a decent holster.
Both my Otterbox cases are still travelling via super slow international mail so I don't yet have an idea of what thickness would be required. So can owners of the Commuter report what thickness of the Note 2 with Commuter on are we talking about?
If anyone already has one not working with the Commuter, can you also give info which one it is? Mr Google told me Seidio holsters don't fit, that is as far as I got till now.
+1. I would be curious also. I had a Defender and hated it , picked up a commuter instead. Much better for my needs. I always wondered why Otter box didnt make a holster for the commuter. I don't always holster my phone but the option would be nice.

What do you think about this one? Not completely cheapo but the look of it seems similar to Commuter to me... http://www.ebay.com/itm/WHITE-BLACK...003714?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item416f966dc2

Apparently the Seidio Active holster fits the Commuter. These guys offered the Commuter and this holster as a package at one time.

It does work no problem with the Incipio dual pro shine case so unless the commuter is quite a bit thicker, it should work too.

Androidcentral.com used to sell the commuter with holster as a package. I'd say it must work. Send them a mail, they'll confirm it.

A couple posts down the guys says he's tried it himself and it didn't fit. Too bad, the dimensions are pretty close.
Anybody know of a decent clip type holster that will fit the commuter? Summer is around the corner and I can't stand anything in my pockets let alone this bad boy...

Thanks for looking, however I should have specified that I was looking for a clip type holster. They are much more convenient and less bulky.
Looking for a clip type also. Got a leather one from amazon that said it fit the commuter but it was to tight on the phone.

Some people say Seidio Active holster works ok with it, and that one can be purchased directly from Seidio website. Also maybe try this one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39690360&postcount=77
Has anyone ever verified whether the Seidio active holster "HLSSGT2ASA" actually fits the commuter?
This works with RedPepper Waterproof case, so should work with Commuter no problem.

I just got some bluetooth headphones for my note 2. i have an otterbox defender case and i was wondering if there are any armbands that fit the note 2 with a defender case. thanks!
Fwiw, at the gym I just put mine in my shorts pocket. If you're running outdoors I'm not sure what to recommend. That's a giant armband if one does exist.

They do exist.. Arkon has a nice one.
I received it two weeks ago and don't care for it much. Main reason being Branch chain amino acids are in my pre-workout and make my skin itch.. So having the band around my arm is hell.
Strength training/HIT workouts are good... Cardio is difficult because I have to stop every 0.2 miles to adjust it. Pockets may just be easier.
Anyways, op's question: the Arkon is tight with a slim case.. And I haven't seen one large enough for defender. You may be able to mod one with some sewing skills.
Aarkon will not work with Defender or anything thicker than TPU case. I did full review of that armband in another forum: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2/662686-my-review-arkon-sport-armband-note-2-a.html

You said in another thread (I don't have the link, it may have been on androidforums) that you were able to stuff the UAG into the Arkon holder, but it was tight...is it so tight as to be unusable? I'm actually looking at getting both for my Note 2, and it would be nice if I didn't have to remove the UAG.
Otherwise, is the UAG tough to remove?
Thanks!

No, its relatively easy to remove; pretty much how you would remove any generic TPU case of sorts.
Still would be a hassle to remove it just to put it in an armband, because then you'd need to find a place to store the UAG in the meantime.
That and if something were to happen, i.e, phone pops out, or you stack it, then the phone is less protected.
Has anyone tried this case?? After reading several posts on cases I have not seen this one on here.

I like cases with a belt clip. This looks like it is comparable to Otter Box Defender.
Thank you

I have THIS and THAT.
I didn't like them much, so I sticked my Incipio Dualpro. Fortunately, the first one's belt clip fits the Dualpro perfectly. Also got THIS coming in the mail soon. I'm hoping it fits the second one's belt clip.

thank you for the links, but I am on Verizon.
The HTC M8 was the first phone I decided not to get a case for, just a belt-clipped holster...... I am glad for HTC Advantage.
Anyway, not taking that chance again (especially with how slippery and thin the M8 is). My go-to for cases used to be Otterbox, especially since the defender series has a belt clip. Problem is, I saw nothing but complaints about the defender model for the M8 on Amazon's reviews. Even the guy at the Sprint store told me the defender model wasn't very good and that I should get the commuter. (Not a fan of the built-in screen protector of the defender anyway, I would have probably taken it off, I hated it even on my old EVO 3D, much less a phone that has a 1080p screen).
So now I am at an impasse, due to the fact that I have not really used any other cases, and especially not knowing which ones are good. Add to that fact that I want to be able to carry it on my belt and I am very low on options. Most of the top case recommendations for the M8 had no options that came with a belt clip, and I didn't trust most of them as they recommended the Otterbox Defender.
Browsing retail stores so I could get a good idea was also fruitless, RadioShack, Best Buy, etc carry very little in terms of the M8, even the Sprint Store I mentioned only had Otterbox and a few Speck cases (which didn't seem that protective)
I care very little about looks, I want to get a case primary for protection (reasonably.... not going to get a $100-300 waterproof, bulletproof, etc case that is 5 inches thick). Currently, the UAV Navigator looks interesting, though I couldn't find a store that had it so I could tell how thick it actually is, plus, no belt clip option.
I suppose my best bet is getting a case and a seeprate belt holster that is big enough to hold the phone with the case on it.... but pretty much all belt holsters just simply tell you which phone they fit, none would take the millions of options of cases into consideration, so I am not sure where I would even find a holster that fits whatever case I get.
Any ideas?

I'm in the same boat as you. Ordered a Tech21 case for now, but I need a belt holster and relatively rugged case!
Pretty sure Seidio's Convert case comes with a belt holster. I've had good luck with Seidio Surface cases on the past--my Note II survived a fall from four feet off the ground thanks to one--and IIRC the heart of the Convert is a Surface.

I had this one recommended to me from another forum:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IGUUKRY/
I won't lie, it IS kinda cheaply put together, but it's pretty decent for it's price. Rubber casing with a hard shell, kickstand, and belt holster. It's a little hard to get it in/out of the holster at first, but it gets broken in after a bit. Still not as easy as just clipping it out of an Otterbox holster, but even the Sprint store rep told me the Otterbox Defender cases for the M8 are terrible. And it's far less likely to fall out if you are running or otherwise shaking the holster somehow.
I have this one and like it a lot.

I always go with Otterbox, and I actually love the otterbox I have for my M8. I got the defender, and I was surprised how thin it is! I've had an Otterbox on just about every phone I've owned, and this is by far my favorite one. Don't know why all the hate is there on Amazon.

They must have more than one type of Defender. I've had Otterbox Defenders on all my iPhones (3, 3GS, 4 and 5) and loved them, but I looked at the one for the HTC One M8 and it was really flimsy and cheaply made. It was so horrible, I'm surprised they would even put their branding on it.
I just got my phone on the 1st of the month and went with this case because it came with a holster: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/pt-kick...lack/5096589.p?id=1219107945030&skuId=5096589

How is the kickstand? Can you use it while holding the phone to help stabilize it more in your hand?
The Spigen Ultra Hybrid fits in the Seidio Surface holster. That's the combination I use. You can actually get the Platinum case combo from Best Buy since it's a rebranded Seidio Surface case and holster, and it's cheaper than buying it from Seidio. The holster also works well with the Supcase Unicorn Beetle cases.
Aaaaaand if you wanted more protection, the Seidio Dilex holster is a perfect fit with the Spigen Slim Armor case. I think someone mention this in this thread already as well.

Can you link to that? I can't find it? I've liked Seido in the past (expensive though). I got the clear unicorn beetle supcase, and think for looks that I would prefer that...but nice to have a holster.

I had a similar one at one point for my droid. It's alright. This type of case though while pretty slim, your phone will bounce out of it if it drops from more than a couple feet onto a hard surface. Usually the phone is fine (the case absorbs) but on the upbounce the phone will pop out,
