I find the following app very good to quickly connect to multiple headsets/speakers
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sflab.bluetooth
ie. @ home i have a D200 creative speaker
instead of going into bluetooth settings.. just click the widget and its connected!
Cons: sometimes the widget does not respond.. but give it some time.
Updated Version of above:
One click - Connect 2 Specific Bluetooth device for A2DP and Phone app:
Bluetooth Pair
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gnssoftworks.bluetoothpair
found it very useful for swapping bluetooth headphones between devices WITHOUT turning off Bluetooth entirely or going into the settings menu.
Example Use Case:
I have one Stereo Bluetooth headset with mic (two profiles - phone and A2DP audio)
I have one Android Phone and one Android Tablet.
Phone Profile is always connected to the Android Phone, but the A2DP audio changes depending on which device you want to listen to music from.
Normally, if you want to listen to audio from the Tablet when your headset's A2DP profile is connected to the phone, you'd have to first go to the settings menu of the phone, and disconnect the A2DP, leaving Phone Profile connected. Then go to the settings menu on your tablet and connect the A2DP only.
Then you'd have to do the opposite if you want to listen to audio from the Phone again.
Takes a long time.
With Bluetooth Pair, you can specifically connect or disconnect to a specific device and specific profile (phone / a2dp) by widgets.
So you won't have to turn off the bluetooth completely on one device just to allow your headset to connect another device. Nor do you need to go into settings anymore.
1.) Just tap on the A2DP device specific widget on the phone to disconnect, the A2DP Profile from the phone
2.) go to the Tablet, and tap on the A2DP device specific widget to connect the A2DP profile of the headset to the Tablet
Two taps!

Hello
I am a beginner both with the Kaiser and the A2DP . I have paired my Jabra 8010 BT correct and when I push the menu button I get the voice speed dial page with " no tag selected " so I assume my connection to the Kaiser is okay.
But when I want to use the stereo function for HTC Player or Windows mediaplayer the sound is not switching from the speaker to the headset .
Any idea what settings or steps I need to do to get the sound to the BT headset ?
There is as well no little Headset icon in the tool bar as set in page 176 of the manul .. (see I am reading first !)
Thanks for any help .

Did you pair the Jabra for A2DP? In the Kaiser's BT settings for the device, you should see two services, Hands Free & Wireless Stereo, and both boxes should be checked. If you see only one service, you'll have to re-pair the Jabra; if you see both, but Wireless Stereo isn't checked, check it.
hmm it looks more like a bug or a intended function.
I have both hands free and stereo profile.
When I delete the bluetooth pairing and re-pair it works like it should:
- Headset icon in menu bar
- when media player start the sound is automatic transfered to head set
but now ... when I switch out BT in the coms manager and switch it on again:
- no headset icon appears at all
- no transfer of sound from media player to head set
even the handbook says (page 176) run steps 1-3 of the paring again.
Does this means I need to re-pair mu stereo headset each time I want to have music transfered to the Heatset after switching off BT on the phone ???
That can not be true or ?

confirmed ... looks like before any usage of wireless stereo (after switch off/on BT) I need to go each time into the connection manager, bluetooth settings, left tab on Jabra, select set as stereo ... if this is done the headset Icon appears again in the menu.
I am the only one to whom this looks very complicated to just listen to your podcast ... ?
Why cant the BT profile hold the information that my headset is BT stereo ???

I seem to be having the same problem. Every time I turn on my Bluetooth, and every time I make a phone call, I have to un-check wireless stereo, save, then re-check it in order to listen to music via my Jabra BT8010.
I wish there was a fix for this.
Use A2DP toggle to re-connect from the today screen.
Whenever I turn my Cardo S-2 a2dp stereo bluetooth headphones on, the headset bluetooth profile kicks in, and calls immediately go to the headphones.
Can this be done with the bluetooth stereo headphones profile for listening to music as well? Currently, I have to click on BatteryStatus's bluetooth icon in the systray, click on a2dp, wait for the profile to kick in, and turn the volume from vibrate to full. It's a pain in the ass every time I want to listen to music.
Ideally, if it's not built into the OS, there should be a little systray app that would poll to see if any headphones are within range, then automatically enable a2dp and set the volume for you. When they disconnect, it would go back to your previous volume setting, not just 0 volume like it does now.
I don't know about the Cardo's but when I hook up my Motorola S9 my music is automatcally hooked up as well. When you sinked your Cardo with your phone through the Bluetooth conection settings did you set them up as handsfree and Stereo, or just Handsfree?

Yes, it was set up as stereo (as well as handsfree), but music does not automatically play in the headphones when they are turned on. I have to start a2dp and take it off vibrate in order to play music.
Same problem here. I solved it by installing A2DPToggle, and making a shortcut to turn the music on the headset in the system tray through Traylaunch
I also use A2DPToggle and use the plugin that stays on the Today screen to control when I use it.
But just like this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351697 ) you can find all sorts of different options.

i want to report an issue/bug that i've encountered yesterday when i purchased jabra bt620s bluetooth headset for listening music and making phone calls with my magic with ION rom.
when i connect the paired headset with the bluetooth enabled from before, the device only connects for a few seconds in MEDIA AUDIO mode, then remains only in phone audio mode, i have to disable and reenable the bluetooth on the magic to full connect the headset. annoying.
inf instead i enable the bluetooth on the device after that i've powered the headset on, the connection is full from the beginning....
result: i cannot let the bluetooth on in my magic.. because it's useless... i have to go then in preferences, wireless, bluetooth settings, ecc, ecc anyway =(
anyone with this problem?!?!
do you thik this is an ION ROM problem or bug?!?
try holding down the tap on the device in bt settings. then select to connect to media only. this works with my G1.
Ok...wondering if you guys can help...
Phone: XDA Ignito
Car stereo: Sony MEX-BT4700U
(http://www.sony.co.uk/product/ica-bluetooth-car-stereo/mex-bt4700u)
The first time I first linked the two, both the phone and stereo automatically recognised that they could both use 'Handsfree' and 'A2DP' profiles, signified by two sperate symbols on stereo, and the two different BT profile symbols on the Ignito. Both worked perfectly, music streaming and handsfree.
However, the next time I returned to the car...only the 'Handsfree' profile connected automatically.
In the bluetooth settings on the Ignito it knows it can connect both ways, if I uncheck handsfree profile, and leave A2DP checked, it connected prefectly fine by A2DP. (and vice versa).
So my question is...why the hell won't it connect using BOTH profiles automatically, like it did at first connection? Am I going to have to mess around in the bluetooth profile settings every time I want to switch from handsfree to A2DP?!?!?
Thanks guys,
Dave
Noone?
Now it seems to only connect via 'handfree' profile, even when i've unchecked handsfree profile in the bluetooth device settings and ticked the 'stereo' profile.
I have a Pioneer car stereo with built in Parrot bluetooth and media connection. I had this issue with my previous phone so it must be either an Android issue or problem with my car stereo bluetooth. Every time I connect bluetooth to the car stereo the phone enables media connectivity and I have to manually go in and turn it off again. Sometimes I have to turn it on and off again as it says it's connected even though it isn't (tick box is ticked but if I untick it it connects and I have to untick it again and OK it to verify). Also if I disconnect it then cycle through the sources on the car stereo as soon as I get to bluetooth it enables it again.
I don't want it on because I want to hear media audio through the phone speakers and phone calls through the car stereo.
Android 4.1.2 at present.

I think the answer lies in the question here,, Parrot Bluetooth Media Connection.
The stereo isn't 'smart' enough to determine that what is connecting to it is a Phone/MP3 and as such you wont be able to split the audio to have the phone play music and the Stereo take calls, it'll end up being one over the other.
One way around this would be to test with a completely different Bluetooth Headset to see if this allows music to be played on the Device and Calls to come through on the Headset,, failing that its going to have to be a potential dev jobby to split how the device sends its audio and to what specific device,,, if that lies with HTC and Android/Us or Pioneer/Parrot themselves,, might be worth asking whats the official standpoint on this with the Manufacturer and see if they are getting this same issue from multiple folks

I have the same problem with my HTC One across four different ROMs, two GE and two Sense.
It's NOT an issue with my car stereo (uConnect system) as it works flawlessly on my Nexus 7 and VZW Galaxy Nexus. I prefer to have media (music, Ingress etc...) play over the phone. Only thing I want to play over the uConnect is the actual phone. No matter how many times I unselect media in the bluetooth settings it selects it again.
I see this is an old thread, anyone have any ideas?
Nope. It does not always do it though. I found that if I leave bluetooth on it seems to be OK just as long as I don't switch through from aux to radio to CD and back to USB again on the Pioneer. If I use the automatic bluetooth app to save battery it connects but then connects with the media option enabled. Bummer.

I've just installed Bluetooth Auto Connect have to go run some errands in a little while, I'll let you know if it helps out managing profiles or not.
If it works let me know what settings you used as I don't understand all the options lol.
bluetooth problem
Hi developers: Thanks Team Venom for a great ROM. I have only one problem. Rom 2.7 no problem with Bluetooth in the car. 3.1 Installation of clean and dirty disables bluetooth. Ten seconds connected and then disconnected. Again, connects and disconnects. So it all over again. It is in version 3.6 ... any change BT software? You can install the software separately BT? Or any other advice? Thank you very much
edit: I deleted the original settings in the car. Again the connection and still the same problem.
