Who still on TeamRocket ROM? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just curious who still on TeamRocket ROM v 1.5?
At least for me, hesitated to go across it to other ICS since this ROM work perfectly for my daily usage. (still find it the best)
Just a down side it only boost to 1.2MHz.
Knowing that LP5 kernel may reach origin speed but camera is not working (am I still stuck at yesterday?) Search and read yet cant find any solution (maybe I blind if there is one)
Anyway,I just want to find out any rocket souls out there with LP5 kernel and camera is working fine. If yes mind to share your experience for upgrading the kernel
Or you already hit another ICS which comparable good to TeamRocket ROM, may share...
Thanks

Haha, I'm on Rocket Rom 1.5 too. And for the same reason: As RocketRom 1.5 works good as a daily driver including S-Pen support, and worried about the fact that you don't exactly know what is working on other ICS ROMs.
Those are the main reasons for my thread "bug comparison of ICS based roms"

Was on it till yesterday test driving stunna rom... s pen I don't use at all at the most maybe 5%

Imilka's v08 atm, was on rocket 1.5, imilka is very stable for me, thinking of moving to imilka's CM9 v02

I'm still on 1.5, mainly because I am too lazy to go to anything else.

Which ROM are you using?

Seeing the large number of custom ROMs being developed for our SGN, I was wondering which ROM are people here using.
I am using Imilka's CM9 right now and it's pretty good and stable. Battery life is just fine and I've had no force closes (48+ hours) so happy with it. Previously coming from ICS Stunner v4.3, Imilka's AOSP v8, CheckROM HD v6 and TeamRocket's ICS ROM!
Using the stock rom and speedmod 2-8 kernel. Pretty smooth and battery friendly combination.
Idle consumption rate is about 1% / 3 hrs. In total the battery lasts about 2days with some minor gaming,
using some apps and 3g and random wifi on.
Using Alba ICS ROM LP5 stable and battery life is good

I'm on imilka's CM9 as well. It's fast, smooth and stable. Can't wait for v02!

I'm still using stock ICS LPY with CF-Kernel. I'm going to keep it as long as I can sleep at night. So far no problems. I have never wiped after flashing ICS (neither vià CWM nor using the factory default option in the menu of Anndroid).

I love the Criskelo's product but lot of bug in last version.

I'm on "The Classic Rom" after Criskello has seized supporting his ROM. The Classic ROM is super stable coupled with the HydraCore kernel.

I don't suggest any ROM until you really tried one for yourself. What might work for others might NOT necessarily work for you...
So it's better you have to really try one (by flashing it), or look it up on each ROM threads you can find here on this forum.
Again, different strokes for different folks... Trust and rely yourself more than just taking the words of other people... Try to flash each ROM you like until you'll settle down to the one that really suits your liking....

I am using RocketROM v.11 with SpeedMod Kernel k3-13.

I am using my GN for business with no game at all, so I am not chasing for top speed.

[Q] What are some good ROMs for a tech illiterate friend?

I've been using this captivate that a buddy let me have for a few months now, and I have enjoyed playing around with it. My friend needs a new phone so I am giving him this Captivate and returning to the desire HD that I have. I'm looking for a ROM that is fast and stable but I don't necessarily want to give him a stock odin rom. I am familiar with rooting, recovery and flashing custom ROMs. I've got a few questions and preferences:
I'm looking for something that will boost performance and remove bloat.
I need it to be incredibly stable as I will be flashing it and then it will be out of hands.
I would prefer ICS if possible, but a good stable gingerbread ROM would be fine too.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
Check out the Collective team. They has several Roms...GB, ICS and JB.
Here is the ICS Rom thread...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29979761
Here is the thread for JB.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31145604
And here is the KK4 GB Rom...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20288065

Thanks man, I'll check them out!
Just a couple quick things to ponder while you are looking into the ROMs. If they need something stable imo gb is gonna be the way to go. ICS you have to worry about the encryption unsuccessful issue that is known to hit the cappy. (you can find the thread about this in the dev section). While there are some really great jb ROMs out there (The Collective included lol) sometimes can still have a few bugs.
BTW @ 4-2ndtwin you missed a ROM lol.
And thanks for your help on that sgs3 thing.

[Q] What ROM I should choose?

Hi,
I just bought a SGS+ and I am curious what ROM shoud I choose?(I`ve seen a lot here) Because stock ROM lag`s every time I unlock phone, sometimes apps lag a couple of seconds and I would preffer ICS based ROM but I can try JellyBean too.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys!
Thanks.
Really comes down to your preferences. Some are feature rich, some are slimmed down, still others are aimed at gamers and performance. Personally I'm enjoying the Tsunami builds in the 4.1.2 flavor. Just check out a few until one suits you.

There are many good ROMs, you should try them and decide what is the best for you.
If you want more performance or if you don't want lag, you can flash a kernel with OC support, you can change the governor and the IO scheduler.
Good luck
I too own a SGS + and for me Bio Hazard is the perfect ICS Rom.
While Gigabread + is the perfect Gingerbread Rom.
But that are my views, it may not be the perfect match for you, so just try out all the ROMs, and one last thing, Jellybean at the sec is a little buggy so stick with 2.3 or 4 !
Ty Brahmnoor! I've tryed Biohazzard and it is a great ROM! Till now!
the topic can be closed! ty all!

I strongly recommend using Jelly Bean ROMs rather than ICS ones. There are several reasons for that because JB is clearly an upgrade to ICS and not to mention the notorius ICS media bug.
You can start working with cm rom's i find them very attractive. although flashed today MagicBean rom, pretty nice to.
All you need to do is start working in that, keep on trying
My two favs...and the only 2 i switch between after trying almost everything there is.
1. CM9 + Devil Kernel (ICS)
2. Saurom + Semaphore 2.7.4 (gingerbread)
Currently using Saurom + semaphore 2.7.4
Just recently flashed this and im very impressed and pleased.

I would suggest trying out the JB ROM by Ivendor (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2000828). I'm pretty happy with it, especially since I do not use the features mentioned in that thread as buggy/not working.
The overall performance is awesome, the user interface is very smooth and battery life is better than I had with CM9 ROM.

Smoothest JB TW ROM Available

?Can someone help me pick their favorite smoothest ROM available now. I think ThaiDai's leak is pretty smooth but overnight gets all freezy and I usually have to flash again.
PLS HELP!!
All living JB Custom Roms are based on the XXLSA leak from sammobile with my OTA updates to XXLSX and the dump of it. Until Samsung provides a new version you'll have problems with the leak - no matter what Custom Rom you choose.
Stay on ICS or GB and wait for OTA updates from Samsung. I'm using the stock XXLSA right now (and still hoping and waiting for new developer updates like XXLSB and XXLSC) and it's ok.
go for any custom LSA (eybees) of LSC (ultimate)... good stable and smooth. but will require a reboot in a couple of days to keep it working smooth.. Yes and as ThaiDai said.. use ICS stock rom for rock steady
I'm currently running Ultimate 5.1 with Philz 3.99 as a daily driver and am loving it. No sleep of death/reboot of death. Great performance, great battery life. Stable as hell.
my two cents...
i've used ultimate (xxlsc) for some time but changed it with BurtROM. i find burtrom much more smooth than ultimate's
If you like tablet mode RevengeDevTeam and xperiacle made an awsome tablet mod... search for Angry vT1 rom and update with OTA its great....
Cheers

I have Ultimate ROM but it just seems EVERY TW ROM FREEZES
I have been using SVA v4 XXLSC for weeks now without any problems.
Fast and smooth.
EDIT: It is worth noting that I have had problems with a number of apps on TW JB that have been resolved by the Dev of the app.
I have been using TW JB custom ROMs since XXLSA.

+1. But not putting the device into regerous tasks for lack of confidence and unknown doubts. Just using it as a phone, listening some music, watching movies, light browsing. As said in earlier posts, ics or gb is best for the time being.

Strange, I just tried Alliance ROM XXLSZ and found it not very smooth as compared to CM 10.1 nightly. I did a full wipe for the installation. Sorry for the (noob) question - can I ever achieve the same level of smoothness on TW based ROMS as the stock ROM on Note 2?
Thread closed as it's basically a best ROM thread.
