[q] help please!!

When I installed x8 custom rom on w8.. I realize that pc companion detect my phone as x8.. how to fix this... some say that I should use flashtool to fix this..
I make this thread just want to know a few steps how to fix it using flashtool..
PLEASE HELP ME

This happens because of the build.prop .
because of the following lines -
ro.product.model=X8
ro.product.name=X8
ro.product.device=E15i
you might change it to-
ro.product.model=W8
ro.product.name=W8
ro.product.device=E16i
Note that there may be 2 build.prop files-
one in /system
and one in /system/bin

Already change that but..
For the first-third time when I connect my phone to pc it says walkman w8(E16i) connected... fourth till now it say that xperia x8... why is this happening??

Why you need pcc?
For repair-back to stock you can use seus....for transfer data from sd-pc just choose to conect sd to pc..

Already done that... but.. seus say that my phone has a latest software..

u mean back to stock 2.1.1 rom?? I dont want to back to stock rom...
mine is 2.3.7... and pcc detect as xperia x8..
build.prop already change...

plug ur phone, then with pc open computer-manage and unistall drivers it should install drivers again and then it should detect as w8.. But i dont see any reason why use pcc at all...

our pcs is detect w8 to x8 == bercause is same model. see xda only have x8 forum bercause 2 phone is same only the walkman sticker

OK by that reason but when on stock rom pcc detect as walkman w8(E16i) and when install android 2.3 it detect as xperia x8...
just I dont get it?
how to fix this??

[Q] Problem Flashing new ROM's after restoring Eclair (URGENT HELP NEEDED)

Hi guyz
I returned to stock eclair using the files in B.jay's cloud share but now i can't flash new roms .... (it stucks in CUSTOM kernel logo)... i thought this maybe because of relocking bootloader so i tried to unlock it using CMD files but it said : process is not permitted. and exited./
SO NOW WHAT SHOULD I DO TO UNLOCK IT AGAIN OR ANY OTHER WAYS?

Try updaten ur fone via update service an start over .use flashtools to unlock bootloader . Guess it will help u.

Reflash stock rom and kernel.
Root your phone.
Unlock the BL on your phone.
Flash a custom rom and kernel if needed.
FULL WIPE and wipe cache and dalvik cache then reboot.

Unlocked the Bootloader (I think...) edit: I checked and it is unlocked
but still it sticks in ALFS Logo...

Have you flashed an Alfs compatible rom, then full wiped and wiped cache and dalvik cache?

Come on... i nearly do these everyday...i had just forgot to root the phone...
everything is right..look URself:
flashed Alfs v8a using flashtool and then flashed Gingerzaraki v4 using CWM...
Also tired with MiniCM7 2.2.1 ....
???

No....I just said that to mention I'm not a noob (and also not a Pro developer)...

Try with nAa ics kernel and MiniCM9. Does your baseband end in 015? Oh and reflash stock with PC Companion or SEUS first before retrying the steps.

I used this file to restore Eclair...and also PCC showed a update notify but i couldn't update it because of an update failure...
phone boots up in stock ROM ...
but i have not checked the baseband.
EDIT: O O.My baseband no. is:
M76XX-TSNSJOLYM-53404006
How should i change this since i can't use PCC Update?

i thought it was because you forgot to root
fix it with pccompanion and do all the things again
edit:just saw your post, you can flash it with flash tool i think, i will search it..give me some min..

another Q: can i just flash baseband-015 using flashtool? because i just found the file....
and about forgetting : it's all B.jay's fault

Get the baseband .ftf and then flash it via Flashtool then retry my steps.

you have 11w34 you can't do it so give up from unlocking
and wrong section you should post in Q/A

its original rom and kernel i didn't change any thing i only root it and pcc cant read it

are you sure you only rooted it and DIDN'T unlock the bootloader?
can you tell us the steps on how you rooted it?

yes i did not unlock bootloader and i have used super one click to root it so that i could use some vpn apps

you can do that also only if your manufacturing datr is on 11w29 below and not above

Hy just use sony update service in pc companion... do update.. while doing it asks to repair?? Then select that.. swich off ur mob.. while connecting hold back button.. thats it.

You have soft bricked your phone just recover your phone using SEUS or PC companion. You dont need to unlock your bootloader to install a new custom Rom. There is some Roms you could install with a stock kernel.
Use the flashtool. I don't have the link to it but you should find it easily.
Read Read Read before trying anything. There is loads of tutorials.

Well, the problem is next .. Brother was doing something with Flashtool, he connect the phone chosing FlashMode and sems he chosse Firmvare for Xperia x10, he forgot' to put x8 firmware in flashtool folder of firmware..
Now, the phone wont enable. Can't do anything, can't connect it on my computer Any solutions for this? Please guys if someone know, write me what to do.
The phone is next : Sony Ericsson E15i Xperia x8 mini one..

use jtag for hardbrick

if your phone is not getting detected by pc in flashmode try unistalling your device from computers n restart ur pc... den install sony pc companion , in that go to update n then repair your phone and follow instructions .. try these steps again again... n remove your phone battery ,while connecting in flash mode u keep battery into phone... all the best
