Make sure you haven't bent a pin on either the battery connector under the back cover or the USB one

Check the 3 metal pins where the battery sits make sure one of them isn't bent as its been known to give problems if they are

all fixed thanks for the help.....

As a first guess... I would ask if you are using an original battery... And if you can swap it with another battery to see if it does the same thing.

yeah i use original battery but dont think i can try with another battery
Will your phone work with just charger plugged in and no battery?
Sent from my SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2
Clean your charging connection(where ya usb plugs in at bottom of phone) you have dirty connectors causing a short..clean gently

Charging / battery problem

Hi,
Has anyone has a similar problem and managed to fix it? -
My phone keeps saying is charging when not and the battery icon keeps changing from charging to not then for a second disappears?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Yes I had this problem. I pulled out battery for about minute, then it disappeared for few hours. When it happened again, few restarts helped and from that time everything goes well again. No problems so far.

Common Issue with the Charging Port.
Try blowing in it and cleaning it.
What's the best way to clean it?

You should get a small piece of cotton and wet it a bit then clean the usb port then w8 for the port to dry after that try charging .

I had this problem with my Note that I preordered. I send it to Samsung and they changed à piece ("platine de chargement" in french) seems it was a common problem on the 1sts Notes.
(my Note was rooted and have à custom rom but the waranty works anyway)

This problem has been discussed many times and in many threads. just take out the battery and push the charging pins inside the phone usb port, straight in the phone. this means you push the charging pins of the charging port on the phone to the back of the phone.I also cut open a bigger hole in my phone Cover where the usb cable contects to the usb port. it seems the hole was not big enough and my usb cable was forced to connect at an angle. my problems went away and I never had the same problem. again.

Bionic won't boot.

So OK guys here's your time to shine! I put my bionic on the charger last night and when I wake up the white notification light is on and the phone won't power up. I've tried battery and sim pulls as well as plugging it in without the battery and trying to power it up. I can't even boot to recovery! Any help would be appreciated!

You can try the USB hack on it to get to boot up and pull information off if needed. Take a old USB cable that you don't plain on using any more. Strip down the micro USB connection side to expose the internal wires. Use just the red and black ones expose the wire and tend the leads with a soldering iron. Place the red side on the positive side of the battery and the black on negative side and carefully place the battery back into the phone. Plug the other side into the charger and it should jump start it.

Galaxy Note won't turn on. Weird behaiviour.

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Note GT-N7000. It was working properly until some day it did not turned on.
When the phone is unplugged form the USB port the phone does nothing, no power, no Download mode, nothing. Even thou I fully charged the battery with an external battery charger... You press power button and nothing shows.
When I plug the USB charger the one sign of life I get is the battery charging icon (image attached)... which shows and then goes blank every 10 seconds. That's all I can get from the phone...
I checked other posts and they say it might be a broken USB port, So i disassembled the phone and removed the USB port flex to check if it might be short circuiting the board; but no luck. When I remove the USB port the phone does nothing.
Any ideas? Could it be the phone has a broken USB port and that the phone can't power without usb port?
I think that you have a full brick. Did you flashed a FW before?

Nope. No flash.
Do you think its a software issue or a hardware one?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I cant say it to 100% beacuse I am not an expert but it looks like a software defekt, and you wrote that you loaded your battery at an external station so your phone must reboot (cause your battery is full) but it doesnt. I think that your completely system is deleted and if you cant switch to recovery or download mode have you an big problem.

Your not getting an emmc hardbrick unless you flashed something in a silly fashion at some point more likely recently than not.
Did you try a different battery or not?
From a cursory review the first thing to try is a new battery and or new cable.
I am not sold yet that this is an issue with the main board or the DC in board.
+1 for new battery.

Jackpot. The battery was broken. Switched battery and phone turned on right away.
The battery was not swollen or anything, just not working properly.
Thank you all for the help.

The batteries have very short life span and very sudden extreme behaviours when they're at the end of their life. Glad you got it sorted.

hmm, maybe you have the 1000mhz bug. what does cpu-spy or similar app s saying?
or your battery is broken..... ever tried to go back to stock?

Even with the 1000mhz bug, the battery wont drain when charging even from the lower powered usb port
You could try and use another battery for a while and see what happens. If that diesn't help i think you should go back to stock and see what happens.
If these answers don't help, then i guess that your charging port is broken and you probably should unroot the device so you can use the waranty...
I went to a samsung centre and bought a new battery and a new charger and it is working fine right now thanks for your answers people .
