[Q] Themes for ADW Launcher - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, first of all I want to thank you for everything you give us every day.
I apologize for my english, I'm actually using the google translator.
What I would like to know is how to create a theme for the ADW Launcher Ex since they do not find much information. It is very difficult? I have to have that knowledge?
Best regards.

[Q] HTC Hero Sprint Icon Question

Is it possible to change icons? If so, how?
My phone is rooted, and using the stock rom it came with from Sprint.
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Software: 2.27.651.5
Thanks for the help!
If you use launcher pro from the market as your launcher you can change the icons and the name too...
Long press on a blank space and add the app you want...tap on its picture to load your gallery and choose whatever icon you would like...there are plenty to download...

Hm.. That's a quick way, thanks Vandelay007. Do you happen to know a way without using Launcher Pro though? Oddly enough, I like the default launcher.

Download Desktop Visualizer from the Market. Allows you to put custom icon shortcuts anywhere on your desktop for just about anything. You can't change any of the taskbar or menu icons, but it does allow you to change/customize any icons you put on your desktop home screens.

I'll definitely use this way next time though. You can't imagine how long it takes a "n00b" to find the Folder shortcut icon.
Thank you everyone for your help.

Looks like he did... I have to say, if this guy describes himself as a noob, and he managed to search and figure out how to theme without needing to aska lot of questions, I shudder to think what we have to call the people who not only don't know what they're talking about, but also can't search for it...
You can't believe how happy I am to see search work that well. It kind of scares me how happy I am.

Haha, thanks for the compliment! It really wasn't that hard to be honest. Just resize the png, rename it, and find where to put it. Once you figure out that you can open .apk files with 7zip, the rest is a cake walk!
The problem with most n00bs is that they don't want to get their hands dirty... and the laziness! Haha.

An home-launcher it's an android app, so you would have to know java pretty well.
Usually it's much easier to make your own theme, but it depends on the home-launcher app you're using. Surely searching on google will give you the answer. Type something like "create theme" and your home-launcher app name. Hope this helped you out...
Thank you Ill do some research

Hmmm, curious little thing. I don't have google+ account attached to play store, so i can't question it in the review section but someone can than he/she should. In the mean time do what i did, don't give the permisson, that makes no sense whatsoever.

As i stated it is a simple launcher and it's very new. It will have more feauters and bugfixes. But let's hope it would stay simple. Since there are countless complicated ones, no need for another of that kind.

It requires root for the widgets to be shown in app drawer i think.

I denied the request. It still shows and adds the widgets from there. No matter what for i don't think it would be crucial. Better safe than sorry. If i come across some error because of root rights i'll write here.
