Hey guys, i just downloaded this app(AndroMouse Lite) on my phone and was able to use my phone as a bluetooth keyboard and mouse for my Mac. Without root.

Good thing it wasn't an old Nokia, you would of have to pay to repair the sidewalk it landed on.

I miss the great cleaning cloth that came with my Prime, too bad it was one of the few things that worked well in that tablet

Just buy any microfiber cloth from the store. They work just as well as the freebies. Sometimes they are there on the pegs at check out at Wal Mart.

I use this, comes with screen cleaner and a huge suede type screen cloth, cool case too. Only thing I'll ever wipe my device screens with;

lol yeah I kept the cloth from my TF700 when I returned it, figured it would go great with my N10!

use a microfiber and clean it with something to clean glasses like Optinet. That why i use for my N7 (stil lwaiting my N10 !) and it works well.

have a bunch of microfiber clothes i found that i bought from autozone and they work better than awesome.

The best cloth I've ever had came with my LG TV, it's like a washrag

I have two now from returning an Asus tf700 & tf201. (The only reliable thing in those boxes ) Some one should check in to what supplier they use for their microfiber material!

N7 with Broken Screen - What yould you use it for?

Hey guys,
I have two Nexus 7, one with a broken screen (cyanogenmod 10.1) and one that is still in perfect shape.
I also own a Galaxy Nexus (CM10.1 too).
My question is: What yould you do with your broken screen Nexus 7?
Touch doesnt work, but the screen does.
I can remotely control it or use a keyboard and mouse, but...
What would you use it for?
Any sugestions are apreciated.

extended screen would be nice
it would cost too much to replace the digitizer, woudln't it?

Plug in a USB mouse using a OTG cable and use daydream clock mode for a nice clock. Or maybe use it to shuffle through old photos or whatnot. With OTG and a mouse you can use it pretty much for anything

Take it apart, and sell all the parts on eBay, you might make a decent amount of money.
I broke my iPod nano, sold the metal housing and click wheel for almost 30$

Selling parts is not a bad idea at all, but... I grew fond of it, even though I have a hard time using it!

Buy a brand new n7... remove it from the box... Package up your broken n7 in the same box and return it to the store same day with the receipt.

I'm pretty sure that is universally called fraud in almost every society on earth.
No doubt people get away with it, but that doesn't make it not a /dickmove

Oh and seriously, nobody will notice the differences in serial number. I mean nobody. How? Well, you file the s/n off...
You will be lucky to get a fine from the police for doing this. It is cheaper to buy a new one and sell the old one on ebay.

Ps3 hardware help(kinda)

Seeing as most PS3 sites give me no response I figured I'd post here and see if the great xda community could help...
Well I bought a phat PS3 from a yard sale for 25 bucks, guys said it wouldn't take disks, i figure hell the disk drives out I have a spare why not. I take it home disassembled it and find the the guy broke the clamp for the ribbon cable to the mother board. So now where I'm at is how do I Gerry rig this cable into place, where it will hold a constant connection, any ideas?
O also I tried running a firmware update and am now stuck in a boot loop of update because it can't find the drive...FAIL ON MY BEHALF :banghead:

Look for another parts PS3 on eBay or Craigslist. The chances that part will be broke again is slim.

Soldering it soon for the time being im using an old GameStop power card, i cut the corners off and used them to wedge down the ribbon cable and for the record ifixit has the basics disassembly, bluray laser repair, I've never been able to find anything on ifixit that wasn't already common knowledge

Let us know how it goes! Yeah that's what I've found with ifixit but I like the site only because I like to see what my devices look like on the inside, so it's good for pics I guess. You should see my ps3 lol

Yep it has twice, and has rlod before when playing uncharted 2. Since the case delete and addition of two fans (drilled holes on bottom below main ps3 fan and mounted a fan to push air to it) it has never overheated again

Damn right Lol, my ps3 that was thrown at the ground is pieced together. its an 80 gig phat, the housing is from a 60 gig, disk drive is a refurb off eBay, the power PCB(eject and power button and LEDs) was taken from a 60 gig Lol and everything else is original from the console, I find it amazing she threw it at the ground with a disk in it and the only thing that broke was the power PCB Lol the disk drive was borked because the original owner took it apart to get his game out and lost the laser doh

HTC one durability

Welp broke the screen on my second phone now. Man if you drop these phones on the corner, the screen Is guaranteed to break. Anyone else have a similar experience? I do have a case on these phones by the way.

ive been lucky, dropped mine a few times and its still good, case is pretty beat up but rather it be beat up than the phone.

That sucks man! I guess I have a good case, I've dropped mine a bunch.....first few times I kinda freaked, now nothing happens, and I pick it up! Sorry for your loss.

I'm using the Incipito Dual Shine Pro, 3 major drops on the corner and no damage to phone. 2 small cracks in the case though. Better the case then the phone I say. Sorry you weren't so lucky op.

actually no not at all.. dropped this guy many many times and have a couple chips in the metal but the screen is fine. Even the other day im running on a tredmill and flap my headphone wire with my arms as im running.. it fell on the belt i kicked it and it still was fine.

I have a Otterbox Commuter on mine, and it has seen the concrete floor at work several times without consequence. Invest in a better case.

I spilled bong water on mines and my girl scratched it a little with my keys over top speaker other than that no drop damage and trust it's seen it's fair share. #TOUGH

Cruzerlite XDA case. The thing has has protected my phone multiple times till the corner drop.

Yea even a thin case around the phone will prevent this from happening - it will absorb a lot of impact since its a compressible material...
basically w/o a case if u drop it on the front corners it will likely crack the screen
This is because the impact is abosorbed by the metal- which will not compress, it will just push all the force down to the glass screen and crack it.. if they just had a little bit of rubber or plastic between the metal and the glass it would alleviate the impact enough so that the screen wont crack as easily.

I power slammed my phone and the screen broke. HTC makes crappy phones. I'm buying a iPhone
