Well, I think, this is what you need: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13488981&postcount=2 and: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Connectors
But it's tricky, and the the device isn't even booting doesn't make it better. Good luck to you.

anyone????

bt sir
I can't find anything about the pins which are causing the device not to run t all
isn't there anything about that
or do my device have another problem other than the usb connector?!

USB/ handsfree problem?

Hi all,
Got a bit of a random problem here. In the last couple of days my Tytn II stopped recognising the USB (wired) handsfree kit. It would simply continue to play sound to the normal speaker, rather than through the headphones.
Fairly simple issue, you might think - either the handsfree or the USB port. Except that the phone will connect to my PC via USB, and recognise that it's connected. And when I connect a friend's working USB handsfree kit (from an Orange SPV phone), I have the same problem on my phone.
Anyone got any ideas as to what the frig is going on and how I might fix it?
Thanks!
your device's usb port has crapped out...
from what i've read on countless other threads in this section of the kaiser forums, the usb port on your device has TWO sets of connections...
...the pins along the top and the pins along the bottom...one is for usb syncing and the other is for audio input/output...
...put your device under a strong light and (use a magnifying glass?) to check for bent pins or other wear and tear
...search for the threads i've mentioned for more insight and how to find a replacement part if it is needed in the worst case
good luck!
Ah, gotcha. That sounds more plausible than a driver issue, and would explain the disparity in hardware issues. I'll take a look!

Custom Rom with broken USB Port possible ?

I've got a Motorola Milestone with a broken USB Port, is it possible to get a custom ROM running ?
All Guides I found start with flashing via USB-Connection.
About Phone says: "Firmware-Version: 2.1-update1"
Regarding if you can flash it without the usb connection i don't know but are you sure that the usb connection on your phone are broken? Have you tried different cables, usb ports on the computer or even with another computer?
Sent from my Milestone using xda app-developers app

I bought it on ebay and in the description the broken USB was mentioned, but I hoped the previous owner just had some problems with his/her PC. But on my Laptop with my cable it says nothing, so it seems to be broken.
I guess there's no chance to get a new ROM running.
So now I try to buy another Milestone with a broken display or something else that makes it cheap, because It seems the motherboard with the USB-port is one of the first things when you disassemble it, so it should be easy to change.

Usb port problem

Hello, i've been trying to connect my pendrive to a usb frontal port and it seems to not work. It says error 43 (Unknown device). This is weird because i've connected the pendrive to the other usb frontal port( i have two ) and it works perfectly.
I've been searching throught the internet and found solutions such as uninstalling all the usb driver that can be found at Device Manager, but It didnt work.
Something that i've noticed is that if i connect my phone(GS4) with the usb cable that it came with the phone to the usb port that is not working properly, the computer doesn't recognize the device(Same unknown device and code 43) but it seems to charge it.
I don't know what to do anymore, tried my best. Maybe my usb port is death.
Anyone knows a solution for this?
Thanks in advance.
