Running Liberty 2.0 on my Droid 3. The rotary lock-screen is cut off when I have the phone held horizontally. Instead of running the width of the screen, it runs the length of it, cutting off halfway down the screen. I am still unable to unlock it this way, but I am dragging the lock into empty space which shouldn't be happening. All rotary lock-screens do this on my phone.
Any suggestions?
I had the same problem running Hash's CM7. The only lockscreen that worked was the ring lock. I would recommend purchasing Widget Locker or a similar lockscreen replacement.
That or just change it. Liberty has several options.

Right.
If it has the ring option, use it. It worked for me in the past.

Hey Guys,
Looking for some new lockscreens. Would really like the froyo 2.2 lockscreen from the droid x or D2. I like the looks of those slider bars.
Does anyone know if this is available or ones like it?
I dont know if its possible to replace the actual system lockscreens ... I know that WidgetLocker has those Motorola Froyo Lockscreen Setups, but well, its a external solution, the internal Lockscreen will not be replaced at all ...
one is called Lockbot

Awesome this is exactly what I was looking for. It works great, thanks for the tip, loving my new lockscreen now.
batmania15: since the latest lockscreen gestures update (in CM 0.04-10.11.29) I'm not using the unlock bars at all. You should check it out...

I tried the lockscreen gestures but didnt like them. I had one set for S and one set for B and everytime I drew the B it launched the one for S.
The default sensitivity was set too low, you could simply fix it for you by setting it to 3 or higher.
In 0.04-10.11.29, the default is now 3.

i think widget locker is a perfect choice
i m using it since i got the phone
While Widget Locker is a nice feature to have I think the Milestone just can't handle it. 256mb and if you throw a few widgets on it or a few widgets in your Launcher Pro/ADw, your home screen will redraw 24/7. I noticed like a 2x redraw rate with WidgetLocker. It's nice, but our phones can't handle it.
Need 512mb ram damnit.
sorry to hi-jack, but aren't you the Batmania15 from the MOTO Milestone support forums?
Any word on official FroYo?
i have another sort of question about lockscreen.
is there a way to have a picture on lockscreen different to the background picture?
You can set an alternative wallpaper i widget locker for the lock screen

Nadlabak,
The gesture lockscreen is great! Thanks for this.
Is it possible to use your gestures lock instead of standard Android visible pattern functionality? I mean to secure lock screen via gesture only. I ask because if you turn it on, then you can use gesture OR standard swipe unlock (so it's not securing the phone).
Thanks in advance for any sugestions!
Yes, you can turn off standard unlock slider option in the cyanogen settings.

didn't know where to put this. I've seen widget locker posted on other forums but not on the Fascinate. For those that want a cool lock screen, check this app out.
It allows a custom wallpaper for the lock screen, plus it can change your lock mechanism from Iphone to HTC sense and 6 others. Allows access to full notification bar,and you can add shortcuts and a slider for anything.
I'm attaching a pic of my phone. I don't know how to do a perfect screengrab like i see others do, so i'll take a pic.
For screen captures you want to download drocap from market

ShootMe is a good alternative.
I looked for this in the market, its the one thats $1.99 correct?
If you were like me and didn't want to try Widgetlocker because it broke NoLED (or vice versa) both apps have now been updated to work together. And work well they do.
This is my first experience with Widgetlocker and I see what all the praise is about. It really is the perfect lockscreen customizer. I've set up a Sense style lock with themed Android sliders for camera and volume controls. Looks great and the options are endless.
Two of the best app devs have worked together to make my phone much more functional and enjoyable. Big thanks to both. Support them if you can.

Is there a way to fix the issue of the soft keys not turning off after a noled notification?

How about noled, widget locked, and SMS popup or hancent?
Everytime I get a notification my screen turns on and stays on. I have everything set to do not turn screen on.
Also, my widgetlocker does not keep Widgets. Everytime i reboot they dissapear. Anybody else?
I'm on cm nightlies.

As far as I know no. The dev has said that he doesn't own a NS and it appears to be a hardware limitation of the phone.

Have you tried the delay SMS notifications setting in NoLED? I don't use popups anymore but that did it for me when I was. Not sure how that interacts with Widgetlocker now though.
For your Widgets not sticking did you try to enable to startup option in WL?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
The dev does own a nexus s, he contacted noled to update widgetlocker and have them work together.
Being able to manage the keys would make noled outstanding.
Doesn't noled drain ur battery to have the screen come on for notification til you get to it?

Yeah, I've tried pretty much every combination of NoLED, WidgetLocker and SMSPopup settings and doesn't quite work work together.... :-(
When I'm on system settings my Widgets stay... but when I use my themed Widgets, they keep disappearing.
Something I noticed today. NoLED only seems to work if the default lockscreen is disabled thru Widgetlocker.
Also a few times my screen is on and I get a message NoLED will activate and interrupt me. Not sure if that's a bug or something I've done wrong in the settings.

Im in the same boat beautiful widgets, simiclock, even my power control disappears. Its really making me feel like this was a bad purchase...
Try stock Widgets.... they stay after reboots.

This is the only thing that's keeping me from using NoLED, other than that it would be a kick ass application.

Not as much as you would think. As the majority of the screen is black, and it takes no power to show black (or very, very, negligible) on a SAMOLED screen the battery drain is pretty small. Now, as it is though the Home, Back, Menu and Search buttons also light up which wouldn't help things.
ill try later with the 7 laucher.
OK I am going to try NoLED now.
As far as the Widgets disappearing from WidgetLocker it is due to a conflict with the Theme Chooser in CM7. I have been working with the Dev of WidgetLocker for a little while to diagnose the problem. It was finally confirmed that it is Theme Chooser causing the problem. If you go back to stock theme everything should work fine. Personally I just re add my widgets cause I love my theme
I only have problems with haxzmatics theme... all other themes that come with cm7, the widgets stay.

That is my theme of choice also
Have you tried any other theme that does not come with CM7? I have tried a couple from the market and the widgets disappear with those also.

That's odd. I don't even use any themed widgets. The only one I use on the lockscreen is AgendaWidget
can I change the lockscreen slider?
i want to remove vibration and maybe a more smooth slider...
it is possible?

Use WidgetLocker.

I tried to use Lock Menu https://market.android.com/details?id=com.husmithinc.android.lockmenu&feature=search_result, but for some unknown reason the camera button stopped working (tested with SPB shell and LauncherPro).
Anyone encountered this problem too?
it is possible to change your lockscreen sliders as long as you want to play with your framework-res I switched those ugly motorola sliders for those from gingerbread (think so) by replacing them in framework, if you want I can upload png files, default sliders are located in drawable-hdpi on the bottom, filenames starts with zz.
There is go locker now too, looks good.
If you are thinking about flashing Cyanogenmod;
there is options implemented to change the Lockscreen. No more laggy Motoblur Sliders.
( I'd totally recommend that )
Otherwise, Widget Locker really rocks the Milestone 2 =) I bought it and i never regretted it from the first Minute
I really recomend using WidgetLocker, but only in Gingerbread. In froyo, it sucks a lot by not replacing the original screenlocker sometimes.
I used WidgetLocker for a while, but replaces the origianl lockscreen, just stood on top. not recommend.

great tip, but it does remove only the feedback vibration?
Before switching to Kitkat we used to be able to swipe left and get a widget with our favorite apps. That is gone with KK. Does anyone know of a similar widget that works on the lock screen?

I never had that widget. Was it a feature on stock 4.3? If so, someone could probably pull the file for you.

It was an option for a lock screen widget. You could swipe left for the camera or change it be favorite apps. I do have a widget for favorite apps but it doesn't show up as a selectable lock screen widget. Not sure why some work on the lock screen and some don't.

So it was a built in Stock widget that cos be used on the lockscreen but now it doesn't? Do you still have the widget installed and it just isn't working or do you not have it at all?

Yeah it was a stock widget from 4.3 that worked on the lock screen. I actually found the APK and put it in the system/app folder and I can use it as a widget but it wont let me place it on the lock screen as a widget.

Hm may be a 4.4 issue. Just to be safe, you have the multiple lock screen widgets option enabled? And the permissions of the widget are correct?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
I do. I think it's a 4.4 thing. It's too bad.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
It only worked in 4.3 if you used a swipe unlock. If you use a pattern or pin, that goes away.
