I installed Dark Raider v1.2 and used Kozmikkernel 4.0 Beta and it works flawlessly except for WiFi...I read in the thread to try and flash the boot image because a few others had the same issue...I did that and it still didn't work. When I turn WiFi on it says 'scanning' but will not find my network..network is there as I have two laptops connected...Any ideas? Thanks in advance..

I believe 4.0 had WiFi broken. I would use RC1 or beta 5

My WiFi started working on a free network at doctors office...hopefully it will pick up my secured network when I get home..kinda strange..
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using xda premium
The WiFi is up and running now..just had to manually create a network and it worked fine..my phone wouldn't pick it up automatically for some reason...Dark Raider is working great..only down side, if any, would be battery life..but when you overclock, that's what happens...lol.

Hey guys I sold my captivate to a friend that lives in NY, and before I shipped it to him it got signal fine, but it won't work for him. He's flashed other roms and modems. Does anyone have any idea

It might be worth letting us know what rom/kernel he's on, as well as what modems he has tried. The more info you can give, the better.
Well he when I sent him the phone he was running the continuum gingerbread with the modem in that version, and the reoriented kernal. The dev section has a lot of new stuff since I had my captivate. I'll get with him and get all the correct info

Have him flash the phone to stock and verify that it works.
Could be the sim card as well.

From looking at the attached thread, it should still be possible to edit the files successfully without an existing backup.
If any one is interested to know weather it works on our device I have tested it out on my HTC vivid and worked with out issue.

Flash Dark Raider, it works on it. Only counter part is you loose ability to wifi tether. Otherwise, flash DSP Manager like I did

can you please tell me if this is the one ?

Yeah that's, the right one. I use ADB as it's easier and ppl have a higher success rate with it. But obviously it's your choice....

I myself have been using the 17.00.24_M radio w/ Playground ICS for about a week now (optus also).
I can't say that I've experienced any issues as of yet, so I guess that's a good sign.
Havn't noticed any improvement in reception or battery life that I can pinpoint for sure but I havn't had a problem getting good/full reception here in South-East Melbourne, Australia.
The .29M ROM Works great with Gb ROMs and the radio in my signature works great with ICS ROMs also.... You may choose from .29 M or from the radio as given in my signature.

Yea then the only way to get rid of it would be to unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery, install deodexed ROM (most custom ROMs are)
Thats the only way?

It's possible with fast boot on you may not see it. But does fast boot apply to cold boots as well? Or just restarts?
Edit: I guess it would apply to cold boots too, since from a cold boot you can't get to bootloader with fast boot on. Try it and let us know.
No... because with fastboot on the phone never shuts off... similar to hibernate in windows...
It has to do with building odex files AFAIK...
