Which is the best music app, according to you.
Am using Ubermusic and its nice, is there anything better?
I have used almost all if not all, and I always go back to playerpro. It is paid, but if you don't like to buy stuff it's on 4shared.
Google music... different music quality!

My favorite: MIUI Music - because of the FLAC support and the interface.
Second: Ubermusic with Metro skin. Because it looks nice and it's very functional, though it lacks FLAC support.
Playerpro

I used to love the sense one, then I switched to double twist, but now with the new Google music stuff I use the google music app.

Issue regarding playing music off of SD Card

Hey guys, I am running the Jelly Bean rom by Maclaw and his team, Apollo never picked up the music I have stored on my SD card, Poweramp did but it was a trial so uninstalled it, I dont know why but none of my songs are showing in any music app I install.. Any suggestions? :/
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
Yeah, stop using it. There is a thread dedicated for these kind of stuff.
I didnt start this thread because of what ROM i was using, I was just wondering if anyone else had an issue like this on any other rom and if they managed to sort it.. I use my phone as my MP3 player as well as my normal phone. So music is needed on travels.

Appollo is still in alpha. I use PowerAmp. Never had any issues.
If you want to use your phone as an MP3 player, and you've chosen the wrong ROM.

Poweramp is a trial player tho, I currently don't have the funds available to afford the Pro version of it :/

I checked with "Root Browser" by JRummy for all allocated files with ".noMedia" in an deleted them all. Now all of my music is showing.
Hope this helps others who have a similar problem.

Widgetlocker

I have widgetlocker as my lockscreen. Is there anyway to control my music player from there? Phantom music didn't work

Try PowerAmp.
I don't want another music app. Just a way to show up music controls

Can't you just put the music player 's widget on the lockscreen? I mean, isn't that the point of widgetlocker?

Stock music player doesn't have a widget
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
It doesn't? Oh! I never used it because it's rubbish. Take the advise above and use poweramp. I know you said you don't want to but if you like and listen to music enough to put controls on your lockscreen, it will be the best $5 you ever spent (less than the cost of an album). It has it's own lockscreen as well as many, many cool features. Widget locker made my phone lag so I don't use it anymore. Cool app though.
I know this isn't the answer you wanted but it is they best solution. Try poweramp free for 14 days from the play store. If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it.
Good luck

Download music widget from the market there are many music player widgets supporting stock music players. Then put the widget onto the lock screen.

Question

I am running alliance xxlsz based ROM.I have always had trouble with earphone function. How do I click the button to select a previous song or repeat.all these seem to do is pause and skip a song. On cm10.1 at least I could long press the up volume or down to select next song or previous song respectively.anyone know how to set the stock ROM with commands
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
I guess for that you have to mod the framework to make it work with stock music app.. Otherwise to be on easier side install another music app like poweramp from play store

Pity cause I hate poweramp...I love using play music app
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
