Root V20A

Hi
I search over the forum and try many methods to root LG Optimus B970 V20A Gingerbread 2.3.4...
Then I try root checker app and it appears that my phone is rooted but when I try any app that need root it don't work...
So is it possible to root this version or not?
I have the official Arabic software...

Search for cwm injection and try again

I'm still waiting for you'r custom V20A UAE rom with eRecovery and CWM.

I wont make a cust ROM for you... I ll only make a flashable V20a bin/fls file combo for smartflash, not a whole ROM... And this combo will have cwm included. Then you ll need to follow this instructions and you'll have a rooted v20a UAE version

You can make a cust ROM out of it yourself...
Here are the bin and fls file, you need to flash. Then take the superuser.zip from the thread above and flash it from within CWM and you have V20a and root

There is no one click solution. Just root it on your own (see my noob how to) and flash the same version, as you already have, but dont wipe anything and you ll have the same phone, but with root.
Dont look for tools, there is still none working...

Note: I use Rom V20o patched , but when use V20a Arabic , don't root , just flash new Rom

Flash it, and when after the flashing procedure you get into CWM, INSTALL SUPERUSER!!!

V20A is latest in my country...
until now Ive been unable to root V20A
It just doesn't work...
I use V20o or V20n...

Need Stock 2.3 Android Rom

Hello guys , i installed a custom rom, now i went back to froyo 2.2 stock, but now the lg updater says i have the latest version and i don't know why.
So could someoen plz upload a 2.3 stock rom for lg p990?

Ohhh sry did not notice that
Then you will have to flash it with the KDZ files of the second link or you try to find a stock rom via Google yourself.
But I think flashing the V20L or M should not be a problem at all
But I have to tell you as all the guys here: I am not responsible if you destroy or damage you phone ^^

i bought OB about 2 days ago and try to root it
but without any good result .
i used gingerbreak, unlock root 2.3.1, super one click 2.3.3
what the problem here ???!!!!
and i installed drivers ( LGP970 ) not (LGP970h)
my software is v10h .

is my version v10h can't be root at all

download v10h in the link i sent convert it ...inject it with cwm with converter... install it with smartflash ...reboot in recovery install superuser.zip and its rooted
change hxxp:/ to http:/ in the links in my previous post

well, i looked on your link and find that my distribution v10h is in just 3 countries
only , so i realized that no way to be hacked by any developer .
so if i will flash and so on , i think i will update to GB 2.3.4 v20B
but i have just 2 Q's :
1- is GB is more consumer of battery than froyo as battery in OB
can't stand with more draining ??
2- is GB v20b can be rooted easily or nooooooot ??????

No prob ...thanks go to these guys who created these great tools. My firmware was the same. Couldn't find any root method til I found this site put 2 and 2 together and voila a rooted phone.and not to complicated for the average user

Hello XDA world!
When I bought my O2X (P990) i had stock 10d BAL Rom inside it.
i had used to flash cwm, ICS, and a lot more Custom ROMs.
So now is time to go back at totally stock ROM.
I wanted to ask how flash 10d BAL Rom to my P990.
i know that smart-flash can't make my phone look like new for LG devs, but Nvflash might be able to.
Can anyone help me with this sitation.
1. How to convert KDZ, or SMART-FLASH files to Nvflash?
2. or anyone can do this and send me a link.
Please tell me how, because here are many nvfalash type roms and some of you know how to do that.

You can update to V10d after you have done nvflash. I dont think your will be able to update to 2.3 with ota, it will install V10d instead.

Or he can use LG official update tool and update via Computer (after nVflash)... This way he will get 2.3 V20Q, if there isn't any newer version... I think my previous link is for Euro Open ROM.

Well you are right about his post, but if I understand he just wants to have phone as he bought it, without root or any sign about rooting it... Official update isn't a problem (for warranty for example...). If he really wants V10d, I don't know which version he will get via OTA update. However, nVflash is the way to go, if you want to have the phone as you bought it

OK so only Phantom got my idea about nVflash. The question is HOW TO DO THAT? Stock rom Bal (BALTICS) 10D Froyo.
Lastes version is 20D .kdz for my country.

The SD Scan is on the v30B faster than on the v30A

How to root v30B? I tried to root it by the option 3 of joiN85 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35003847 but fail, I have boot loop LG logo when finished nvflash. Any solution?

if you want to unlock bootloader and root ics or stuff like this use P990 Toolkit from the Developement Section

Are you sure the kernel is different? It's not 2.6.39.4 anymore? I think it's impossible.

How to Flash 30B?
I've have V30A already, but, do i need to flash v30B on Smartflash? Or KDZ Updater?

You can use lgextractor to convert kdz to smartflash format. Search on google for that.

Actually there is already V30B for smartflash, but you need an account at 4share.com to download it.

Trocopassu posted here a Smartflash version of V30B, no need to use LGExtractor.
