Baseband Unkown - Motorola Droid Bionic

I seem to have lost the radios on my phone, I think.
I got the Bionic Lapdock and couldn't get the Bionic to work properly with it. I had alot of frozen apps using titanium backup so I figured I'd start unfreezing some apps to get it to work. For some reason I couldn't unfreeze everything. The app would and take forever to restore the app. I got impatient and ran the Bionic Pathsaver 1. After that I lost my signal, i first tried reseating the sim. Nothing. Now I tried the RealeaseRootv2.1 for windows and the baseband is still unknown.
Can somebody please help!

What update were you on? 902?
What update did you go back to when you tried using pathsaver?
More than likely...your going to need to use RSDlite and the 902 fxz to get the radio back.

I actually used RSDlite to get back to 5.8.886 thinking I could get back to 902 using the OTAs the update fails every time I try to run it so it looks like I have to RSDlite into 902.Thanks for the help.Though I still don't understand why the update keeps failing. Any ideas?

Try a factory reset and see if it fixes it.

Just FXZ straight to .902

Bootloop after trying to restore w/ Bootstrap

So I was trying to restore back to my stock ROM backup using the boot strap recovery. There weren't any errors during the process of restoring the image but when it was time to boot the phone up it would stay in a bootloop.
I have tried factory reset with the power button and volume buttons but it'd go straight back to the loop.
I am trying really hard to understand this whole adb thing with the sdk program but I have no idea how to use it.
Can anyone please help this noob?
Return to stock - Windows.
FAQ sticky in the Bionic Development forum.
Thanks for the reply. I'll try this out when I come home from work.
Also, I reactivated my droid x until then. Will I need to go to Verizon for a new sim card for my bionic once I can start it up again?
I don't think so, but I am not sure. Have not bootlooped yet myself or had to FXZ.
I believe you may have to go for a new SIM card. The way the Verizon explained it to me when I returned my Charge was when you deactivate from a 4G to 3G only phone, that SIM is lost. However, 4G to 4G is fine.
Wouldn't hurt to try, but a good possibility you will have to.

About 2 hours after I said this, I bootlooped. Good thing this FXZ method works!!
haha yeah with all the new roms u cant help but to explore.
btw after 5 FAILED flashes I tried one more time with rsdlite and it finally worked!
It took about 20-25 minutes for the whole process to fully boot up my phone but I am very happy and thankful for the people on this forum.
The weird thing is that when it booted up... it booted up to an old restore of UNL3ASH3D. confused but im happy its fully functioning.
You won't need a new SIM card. I did an FXZ restore after I rooted my phone, unrooted it (didn't need to have it rooted because there were no ROMs and no CWM yet) and it wouldn't let me root again so I flashed to stock and it rooted just fine. You will need to flash the radio again though (or at least I did after installing DroidTh3ory's ROM because it kept showing 3G in spots I know i had 4G, worked fine after I flashed).

[Q] Need Help, messed up root

OK all, I really messed up my phone, first I could not get it to restore using RSD but finally got that figured out, but now no matter which method I use I can't get root back on it. I get permission errors when trying to push su & busybox using dhacker29 bionic pathsaver. I have pushed different restore file versions on 902 right now, and even tried to restore to an earlier version using Bionic Pathsaver and they all fail to push. The phone us up right now on 902 but there has to be something hanging around mucking it up.
Is there anything I can do or am I pretty much screwed. At lease I have it up and running and things work, so it is not a total loss. Just no root.
Thanks
UODATE: Finaly Had Success rooting the DROID. I took the over the air 902 upgrade after rebuilding it about the 8th time and then used this method. smooth as butter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yctmA_RYEqY

I've encountered this problem before. First did you try MotoFail? If you did and it still doesn't root, you have to go to Stock 5.8.886. Run R3l3AS3DRoot and 43V3R Root. And if you want to update go here.
Did try motofail
I did try motofail and it did not complete and think that may be my problem, the phone works but it never end the routine and gives me the PASS. On the second link I have been trying to get into it for the last several hours but it is dead. R3l3AS3DRoot and 43V3R Root
(http://r3l3as3droot.th3oryrom.us.to/R3l3AS3DRoot_Windows_V2.1.zip). does anyone know where I can get the file.

You may also have to use path saver. R3l3as3DRoot and for3v3r root took me back, but left out some necessary files needed for the updates. Running path saver put the necessary files back in.

[Q] bionic factory restore

I looked around and couldnt find a post that acctually answered my question. I'm a noob to the forum so if i missed it i appologise. i was wanting to do a factory reset on my bionic .902. However i wasnt sure if the .893 one click will work with the .902. I used titanium backup to uninstall a few things which has caused a force close on my factory text messaging. i have done a built in factory reset it changes nothing. i did not sync so titanium backup wouldnt change the settings i still get force close. basically i want to restore and start over. i would appreciate any help you can give me.
R3l3as3droot and for3v3r root can take you back to stock 886. You may want to try that. You will have to get back up to date afterwards but it should solve your problem.

Rooted and worried a bit

So I rooted my Bionic.
Then installed titanium back up. And then backed everything up.
Then I committed the mistake in uninstalling some bloatware and then I read that some people are not getting updates due to deleting the apps and not freezing them.
I said...FUUUUUU there goes ICS!!!!
So I went back in, did a restore app+data and still some didn't come back.
I restored them manually and I thought...It's all good now.
But no.... I have crossed out in titanium back up the following two files.
com.android.music
No back up yet
and
com.pv.android.verzion.mod
No back up yet
I cant get them to "uncross".
Does anyone know anything of these two apps...and if so, Am I still screwed?
Thanks
If someone does not provide you with them, you can always just FXZ back to stock 902. I'm on ICS so I can't get them.

Am I hosed?

I tried flashing an AOKP selfkang rom from rombot.droidhive (6/09) to my Bionic on the safe side of SafeStrap. It flashed but on reboot it would not fully boot. It would get most of the way (I could see the notification bar) but not further. Rebooted and got just a bit further (could see a background and notification bar). Toggled back to unsafe mode which worked for the most part. However wifi would not enable. It would just say error. Reboot and try to restore my unsafe nandroid and the restore failed on more than one occasion??? Odd because the the md5sum verifies fine.
Okay I really need wifi. I FXZ'd back to 902. Still no wifi. Let it update to 905. Still no wifi? Should I just FXZ again (I am rooted at this time) and return this bastard or do I have any other alternatives?
Well I was able to finally restore my unsafe backup. Still no wifi.

Hate to say it but your phone might be on its way out.

Try FXZ back to 902 then format internal sd. If you have anything on it like music and pics move those files to either your computer of external sd. Then FXZ again or update to 905. Either way there is something on your internal sd that might be messing things up for you.
Tweet from dhacker says it's hardware. I don't buy that as it was working just before flash. I already copied both internal and external card files. Will fxz again and swap it out at Verizon store.

Stopped at the Verizon Wireless store on my way home from work. They did a factory reset (not that I hadn't already) and it still would error out on the wifi. They are going to warranty replace it.
New phone to mess with is always a good sighn
