It says I need drivers but I have it -.- .. and USB debugging is off so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.. :/ I have Android 2.1 and wanted change to GDX but now I can't turn on phone and Idk why.. :-( So.. Do You know what I'm doing wrong?? Sorry for english.

it wont boot since u r trying to run stock rom with custom kernel, which is not supported...
did u try entering recovery? Keep pressing back button, and then install gingerdx from ur memory card...

Hm... Logo of GDX is looping :// That's not good.. :< I heard about it. But don't know what to do.
//EDIT
awwww yeahhh.... I have installed X8_v08a-cm7_Alfs_djnilse... I need to install X8_08a-GDX-no_fps_cap_Alfs_Djnilse ? Damn... So... If I can't succesfully turn on the phone, I can't add Alfs for GDX.. so I need to install CM7 ROM, then add files and install GDX ????

X8_v08a-cm7_Alfs&djnilse.ftf is ONLY for MiniCM7 (Like MiniCM7 2.2.0). For GingerDX You should flash X8_08-GDX_Alfs&Djnils.rar
That's why it doesn't boot

Okay... I get it... Nevermind to EDIT in last post ;D Thank youu everybody, I will install again and tell if It works or not
Ehh... It's bootlooping yet... I have installed Alfs fo GDX..

Do full wipe or install ROM again

It's weird. I have reinstalled GDX v025 and I returned to stock kernel and GDX logo is looping once and then logo is freezing :/ ;(((( I don't get it ;D
What the... hahaha Installed v022 and works ;D What sorcery is thiss?! ;D

Flash kernel -----> after that ALWAYS do a full wipe ---> install ROM.
If You have compatible kernel and change just a ROM:
do a full wipe ----> install ROM.

Okayy...... I don't know what I have done but it works !!! Yeah I'm very happy Thank You sooo muuchh ! )) Youu are the best ! D
//EDIT
I have new problem.. but nevermind.. It's with USB. My SD card is unplugging when I'm connecting phone with computer...

Change camputer

1. Try wiping cache
2. If that fails, wipe cache+data
3. If that fails, format /system. Do a full wipe. Flash ROM again.
4. If that fails, repeat step 3 after flashing the kernel anew.
Note: I've answered this question a few times. As have many others. By using the Search feature of the forum, you'll permit allocation of useful resources to other problems. That's asides solving your problems faster.

try back again with eclair and flash kernel nAa v8 and v11.,.,..,
I'm having the same problem. I've tried this about 7 or 8 times and it gets stuck on nAa logo everytime, thus needing to repair it using PCC, but i can still use CWM. The kernel i'm flashing is nAa-14 and the rom GingerDX v029. I have no idea what might be wrong, i've spent already a few hours trying to work around it. After i use PCC to flash it back to stock, i follow the normal procedure. activate debug, flash it with flashtool, turn the phone on and use cwm to wipe and then install gingerdx through .zip. After i reboot the phone it ALWAYS gets stuck on nAa logo, it doesn't even show SE icon.
It's getting quite frustrating due to it being my very first smartphone and i would like to play around with my new toy, but it keeps trolling me, or i may be trolling myself.

Download kernel again
Sent from my E15i using XDA
Re-download the tft from the official nAa thread and try re-flash.
Can anybody help me?
I don't know what's wrong.
I dowloaded again kernel from official thread, but problem has arrived.
I downloaded latest flashtool version 8.0.
Maybe use the flashtool given in MiniCm thread...
Hit thanx if i helped..

i downloaded the kernel once again and it worked
i think probably you should try changing the flashtool version or try to flash with diffrent usb mine was too old and the usb ports were also too lose so tried with my other usb and it worked
just a suggestion
i had same problem and i installed stock kernel and then again ics and the 3rd time worked

Updating your flashtool to the latest version should fix the problem :highfive:
I've faced that problem before
Yep that did the trick. Thank both of you. I cant post on the original thread I linked, but I was going to reply to him to update his info on making sure every1 uses the latest flashtool so others don't have the same issue, but I can't post a reply there, (guessing because Im new to posting, even though I been on this forum awhile.)
Many Thanks.
dear friend i have the same problem. however i have found the solution on my own risk! i would like to share the solution that worked for me and i am sure that will work for you as well. just go to C:\Users\Milan\.flashTool\firmwares there you will find some files or folders. just delete them. after deleting those files, just switch off your phone(without connecting USB cable to it) then hold volume down button and same time connect usb cable. flashtool shows that you have connected your phone in flashmode. thats it! leave your phone aside and select the file you wish to flash. relax! everything will be done automatically.
furthemore, it may take some time to see your phone in home screen so just wait for 5minutes. then you will see that you have successfully flashed your firmware. for more, write to me @ [email protected]

Sony xperia me dual d2302 I was installed Expedia z3style custom ROM now I want to reflash my official firmware when I want to flash .Flash tool says
ERROR : Cannot open bundle flashing process canceled
Had the same error during my attempts to flash Xperia SO-02K firmware which I needed to flash for DRM keys backup. Tried Flashtool v0.9.18.6 and v0.9.15 for windows, both were able to read it, but threw "root : this bundle is not valid" and "Cannot open bundle. Flash operation canceled" errors during flashing (v0.9.34 and v0.9.28 didn't even recognize the firmware). Tried four different versions of the firmware and ultimately used newflasher v20 instead (latest version failed).

[Need help] Extreme Xperia SP brick with start loop

Hi guys!! This is the worst brick I've had.
I can't use the flashmode more than ~10 seconds cause it randomly disconnects
I CAN use the 3 recoveries already installed TWRP, PhilZ and CWM
I tried with Linux and diferent Windows drivers
I'm runing the flashtool 0.9.19.0 version
I have this rom installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...anogenmod-11-locked-bootloader-users-t2868398 by MrSteve555

I'd like to reinstall the base ROM 4.3 Movistar/Spain I got the "ftf" file.

I actually faced problems in 2 different versions that were released after v0.9.18.5.
Uninstall the current one, then give v0.9.18.5 a try.

Can you quickly flash the "loader.sin" of your ftf file? The process should be quick <10 secs. Then try to again connect the device in flashmode

Okay so you said you can still access recovery, right? This going to be a long work, but you can actually create your own stock ROM zip. Since you already have the ftf, you can try following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/flashtool-flashing-stock-roms-pc-t2825808
This is not a solution to the problem you faced, but rather a solution to your first intent
Let's then see if Flashtool can properly flash things after you followed the guide above.
I had simalor problem..... The latest Emma (new name foor flashtool) downloaded from Sony was able to connect normal (flashmode) with phone. So I could flash the recommended stock ROM. And start all over again.

Well, I guess... I wasnt aware that it in the past was not possible.
I screw up my phone and needed tot flash ftf. But could not succeed while flashmode could not last for 10 sec. And fastboot modus wouldnt work. So I searched for latest drivers and flashtool. Thats when i found that Emma could hold connection and flash the firmware from Sony.
Afterwards disconnect phone from PC and i was back in business again.
(Towelroot, rashr for twrp and happy flashing!)

Download Flashtool v0.9.18.6 from official site.
Option 1: Flash stock.
or,
Option 2: Flash tangerine-7.1.elf via 'fastboot mode' to directly get TWRP, then flash any ROM you want.
Hit Thanks if I helped

You don't need to access USB debugging. Just turn off the phone by pressing the button on the back.
Then follow what I said in post#2
Welcome.

Hiya Nandan.
I was in the same boat as you but I had no rom installed no software at all so I could not boot the phone up to enable USB debugging and unknown sources. If you do what I did it will hopefully rectify your problem.
Step 1. Download a kernel with twrp embedded im sure I used dooms kernel as far as I remember. There are many others just do a simple google of xperia sp kernel with recovery.
Step 2 . take phone case off the back hold button in on lower bottom for 10 seconds you will get 3 vibratations . good leave it at that.
Step 4 . open flashtool let it load completely. Now plug USB into your phone also have it into your PC ! Whilst plugging in hold down volume button to enter flashmode your phone should be green . hold up for fast boot mode which is blue either too let's you flash a kernel but fast boot mode requires "elf" kernel.
Step 5. Locate kernel install and then boot phone up whilst press the volume up button as its booting recovery mode will be accessed now flash rom of your choice or use Sony PC suite to go back to stock. Make sure you have stock kernel and bootloader locked or elsee it won't let you..
I hope this helps you out in someway as it did me good luck.

Chris

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the instruction you have given me, I might try this method a week or two due to coursework. I been trying to get hold with some instructions but turns out the instructions you have given me is more detailed and i could understand what you wrote. I was wondering where i can get the stock kernel since earlier i tried using flashtool to flash the original rom which is vodafone locked showed some errors in the process. instead of using the first step to flash twrp, can i flash clockworkmod recovery and then install custom sony rom like for e.g. archxperia?
Thanks Nandan

If I was you I would just stick with doom kernel for now at least that way you can access twrp and sort your phone out. some very good roms available to install as soon as you access twrp. my steps are 1 to 4 I think I got distracted whilst putting the steps or I can't count lol.

Hi Chris,
So you want me to install Doomkernel first which has the kernel and recovery built in? By flashing it through flashtool either using fastboot mode or flashmode to flash the kernel. Then do I flash any rom I like or would you recommend me a rom to use? Would this also fix to try and access recovery? I did my research that it contains multiple recoveries such CWM, Philz Touch and TWRP. So lets say if I flash a custom sony rom such as archxperia or put it back to stock, will it also fix the unresponsive touch issue i have been getting on my phone or is this a common issue for the xperia sp? My bootloader is unlocked.
Thanks Nandan

Hey Chris,
I flashed it through flashtool the kernel which turns out it is going on a bootloop and cannot access recovery at all. It gets stuck at doomkernel logo and reboots continously. Can you help me out due to the bootloop issue and cannot access recovery. I tried holding volume up button to access recovery it wouldn't let me, now im stuck with a bootloop and it looks like its softbricked.
Thanks Nandan
Update to Everyone I fixed my phone following Chris's method or you can use Zenith's method alternatively instead, but i flashed doomkernel which fixed my phone, I first flashed one of the custom 4.3 roms then i decided to flash TWRP recovery then I flashed SlimRom 5.1.1 Sabermod with Quickboot which im using as a daily driver. If anyone was in my situation earlier on then use the methods provided by Chris or Zenith. By the way don't flash stryflex v3.6 because you might not able to access recovery or you might end up with a soft bricked phone so instead use stryflex v3.7 instead which is stable and also allowed me to access recovery.
