Have you tried clearing the cache data for Google Play under Settings - Manage Applications?

Got the same problem using my Galaxy S2 having just moved to my countries version of ICS (South Africa XFA).
Didn't have any problems using Checkrom.

Found a solution.
Go to Settings>Network and get into the advanced settings of your mobile (3G) network operator and clear the APN Proxy settings (Not the Wifi but 3G proxy settings).
Worked for me on my SGS2.

Thanks but my tab is a 7310 wifi only, no 3g...

IP of the country you live
I got the same problem. It only happened after I left the US. Thus, I thought that would be the IP address of the ISP we use. I will not talk about this since I am not a professional.
My solution is that I employ VPN to make a connection to my old school in the US and it works.

i have the same problem with HTC HD2 (ICS+CM9). In my case the problem is related to my router (TP-Link TL-WR1043ND). When i switch it for testing with Linksys WRT54 the problem was gone and all icons in google play where loading. Unfortunately i haven't found i solution yet.

Maybe if you go to settings > applications > all and select google play store and empty buffer. Then reboot.
Removing updates can also solve it.

Not working. Even if you uninstall and reinstall "no-icon" app, the icon won't go back. Really weird.
(SGS3, Stock JB, just rooted)

[Q] Browser not working, always looking for proxy?

Hey,
I've a problem with my browser, stock & Dolphin HD. Every website I try to load says "Can't find URL/Acces Denied" although I have access to the Internet. This happens both on Wifi and on mobile data.
The weird thing: The site seems to be rendered through a proxy which comes from my university, but I can't remember to have put anything like that on my mobile phone, and I can't find the setting for this. I've made a screenshot of the error message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Another weird thing: Dolphin Mini & Firefox work just fine, along with all other apps that require Internet connection. It's just these two browser (haven't tried more) that don't work. Right now I'm on my home Wifi where it used to work just fine.
I have a Galaxy S i9000 running Juwe's 5.0 Gingerbread 2.3.4.
Please help, thanks in advance,
Smirny
Hasn't anyone experienced this before? This is really an annoying issue :/
While I can't fully understand your error message, I downloaded Dolphin HD to try it out, and I tried looking for some kind of setting that might pertain to a Proxy. Unfortunately I couldn't, all I could really come across is the "Reset to Default" setting which would likely reset any proxy connection.
Sorry
I've finally found the setting.
It's under: Settings -> Wifi & stuff -> Wifi Settings -> [Menu Button] Advanced -> Proxy
Now I can finally enjoy my Dolphin HD =)

Ah, glad you found it! I downloaded Dolphin just to try to help you out, but found that I liked that browser! The problem is, I hate the annoying "exit confirmation" that happens whenever I try to close the browser . Do you get that as well? See my thread

[Q] Google Apps 'Syncing'

Hi All,
Got rooted and Market installed and working the only thing I'm missing its seems is some of the google services, namely Gmail, Gmusic and Chrome
Gmail - installs, says sync is not enabled and crashes
Gmusic - installs and works perfectly with local music, knows about my google account, but will not show any of he music in the cloud
Chrome - installs (sideload) and works fine but will not sync up and show other browsers tabs etc.
Is there some google 'sync' service I'm missing?
Stuff I've installed for google is;
GoogleLoginService.apk
GoogleServicesFramework.apk
Many thanks
From what I understand you have to install the apps again after the framework if you didn't do it in that order.

Thanks, I tried that last night - same thing.
Are there different versions of the framework floating about I wonder?
Has no one else seen this issue?

Yeah, and the GoogleLoginService too. I put them all into the /system/app. Unfortunately i ended up returning it to amazon today. The price point on the device is good. But it seemed very unpolished. Bluetooth headset would disconnect after 15 minutes of watching a movie, but stayed connected fine when listening to music. Web browsing was very slow. If i scrolled the page It would just be white and i'd have to wait 1-2 seconds for silk to render the page. Also my unit had some very bad light bleed, see image below. Not to mention i could never find the buttons (power/volume) I think i'm going to pay a little more and get a nexus, it's probably worth the extra money.

this is the problem!
is it possible that i don't have gps chip in the device?
As you search for help at the HTC One forum, i think you are a owner of HTC One. And i don`t think its a hradware problem. Maybe you should try to use GPS fix app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidlab.gpsfix&hl=en
and don`t try it in a building, but outside and if possible move ya ass, or drive around the block with your car
I hope it helps you.
accused hddent
still not working!
look. tese are the data of my phone
is it fake?

I've turn off GPS and even in apps turn of request for location . After that i saw that was so low . I turn off synchr. without gmail . Was better but still too much..
I read in reddit that google app service is normal. But others apps request information and data from google so google app service is working and use battery. So after that I uninstall all apps that i do not use it. Apps that i cannot uninstall just turn off it. For now i charge to full battery and watching resoults .
I had the same issue and found out it was two of my apps - MicroG and a VPN app. When I use VPN on mobile data, battery usage reads it as Google Play Services instead of the VPN app. Same goes for MicroG using a hell lot of background data and logging as Google Play Services. Another is Messenger app - I included it in restricted apps in battery management to reduce usage. Now I'm getting normal battery life.

How to deactivate bubbles notification on MIUI 12.5

I have finally got the last MIUI 12.5 update alongside Android 11. Everything was fine except the fact that I cannot remove the bubble notifications.
I have followed all the workaround online but it seems that MIUI rom is slight difference and I cannot find this option:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
someone has fixed this?
Download activity launcher, search (with the search button) for notifications, then under the settings app entry, tap on notifications, it will open the settings page.
Xiaomi apparently forgot to enable the page in the settings. There are a couple more hidden settings as well, such as interpolated frames on videos and something with more vivid/hdr like recording of videos.

this is interesting: where can I check these video settings?
anyway I have managed to sort with the bubbles stuff: there is written "manage" under the bubble, so tiny that was impossible to spot. Anyway Xiaomi have to implement the settings because if some are hide then are useless

Just go through the settings app section, I don't remember which setting you need to open, plus I think it only works on the xiaomi video/gallery apps.

hold on, you are telling me to go to settings app section, but earlier you were mentioning to download activity launcher. Is this a third party app? I wouldn't install additional apps but, in case I have to, which app is? I cannot find on Play Store.
Whenever any notification comes, there is More option and.notifications from that app can be directly managed for future

I'm talking about activity launcher, go to the settings app section inside the activity launcher app and open all subsections one by one till you find it.
Here's the app.
ehi, anyway I think I sorted: there is a "manage" option under the bubble which is basically invisible but is there. once you click on that command you can remove bubbles and check other settings.
