Hi Folks.
I've been looking around for some time but didnt found it, so i'm asking
Is there is any way to boost up volume of conversation in sgs+ 2.3.6 stock rom?
I've allready set the volume to the max and its way to quiet for me
especailly when im in city traffic.. Any app or script for make it happen?
Cheers
I think the vitality kernel was able to boost the volume.

either way, editing something in system (requires root),and BOOM-there goes your warranty
did you try some volume+ apps in google play?(you will still have your warranty but not sure if the app itself works what it is supposed to)

Thats where u wrong, I'v allready rooted my phone, theres easy wasy to unroot it when needed so you still have your warranty (except of situations where phone is bricked or unable to preform unroot od course)
I''ve tried some of google play apps but all they do is enhance sound of players but not the conversation it self...

Ive get this nitrality app, there is a option called FULL SYSTEM BACKUP is this is a ROM & kernel backup as well or is it only backing up that efs partition?
So feamode 1.4 can be use for flashing with new kernel, can i also use it to backup existing one?

Installed the CM7 rom as usual but
my imei was changed to 000000000000000 and can not make calls and send sms
(Although not show signal, you can
access the internet). In the system
does not contain the efs folder and
had not backed up. Is there a
solution?
not want to change, I know it's
illegal, I "only" repair the original. Yes,
I googled before posting, but found
nothing satisfactory. thank you and sorry for my bad english.
that was a bug of the rom which was fixed
try flashing the firmware through odin
thanks for the reply. Had already
restored the 2.3.6 rom by odin and
several others with cwm and not
solved.

I guess its a hardware problem.. something wrong with the motherboard.. if flashing stock ROM or custom ROM didn't solve it then i guess you have to take it to the SC..

had tried this method but the efs
folder (And their archives) do not exist
in the system, unfortunately ...
I've been exploring the system files and view the log Custom recovery found the problem. Recovery was an error during the flash unfortunately could not solve the problem (yet) but anyway it was good to know where the error happened. Any help will be important, since that time my phone is just an MP3 player lol
Once again thank you and sorry for my english
Happened with me once and i think a trip to one of the samsung care center won't hurt much
Just be sure not to tell the people there that you flashed the cm7 custom rom on the device.

OK, thanks for the reply. I will try

OK, I tried to find something similar in the forum but i don't find anything.
My problem is: I have a Vodafone I9305 . Originally, just bought it, I had vodafone applications pre-installed. Then i decided to mod the phone.
What i don't understand is: why everytime I install any modified rom (e.g. Pandoriam) the vodafone apps come back?. Before entering the first time in android, appears the screen "Installing Applications:" (My Web, Music Shop, Cloud, Contacts, NOVA3, FIFA12, ecc.).
These applications are in the modded rom (I doubt it) or are somewhere in my phone and when I install the modded rom, this install them too?
Thanks and sorry for my bad English. Carlo.
Have you got google backup set up if so that's probably why they are reinstalling each time you put on a new rom.
Hey,
i'm using a vodafone i9305 too, and i think these apps are stored in the hidden partiton. So make a test at your own risk.
NANDROID Backup (as tar), format hidden partition, flash rom.
I don't take any warranty if your phone bricks.
Also, there must be a routine that checks this partition.

That is impossible because this happens before entering in android first time, so also before setting my google account.

No! Don't go formatting hidden partition it has nothing to do with it.
You need to mount pre load and then format that.
Also in system/apps there is a preload installer.Apk, un install this too.

Hi All,
Totally new to the site.. was looking around for an answer but no much luck.
So question is how does backup ta works. I rooted the phone, and used the tool and now it has a backup. which is only 177kb
And does this mean that, later if i decide to go back to the stock rom, I can just recover from this backup ?
Thanks heaps for your help
Pavi:silly:

Compressed it can be 177KB, but that can be different per backup since the actual content isn't static. Extract the ZIP and check the size of TA.img, it should be 2MB (2048KB) round. Next time you better ask it in the Backup TA thread. Only read this one by coincidence .
yes!!

Reinstall the Stock ROM, restore your backup. Then use Titanium Backup to make a proper backup of all your apps and data.

No offence but it just sounds simple but practically very hectic. I have my phone fully set up and have this same issue. Redoing takes a lot of effort and time specially after office hours, so if there is a workaround for this, it would be very much appreciated.

Sorry, but offence is taken. @Skyfall6 posted a copy of the Stock LG backup app which doesn't work on a v4.2 system - the most likely reason for it not working is because it requires other things from the LG framework in order to function properly.
If you need to restore your phone to Stock then follow the guides. If you need to recover certain data from a previously made LG backup - such as contacts etc - then use CWM to backup your current ROM then flash the Stock ROM, recover your backup, extract the data you want (with TB or similar), and restore from your CWM backup so you are back with the same setup you have now.
Regardless of how busy work, life etc is that is the quickest and easiest way to do it - especially in the month since this thread was last commented on.
There are often not easy answers to the problems that people find when using custom ROMs - you have to just put the time and effort in to get what you want.

Did you even read this thread? The LG Backup app doesn't work on custom roms, because it relies on LG's framework which isn't present in custom roms (except for stock based ones). If you need to restore an .sbf file, follow SimonTS's method. If you just need to make a backup, use TitaniumBackup or any similar app.
its work!

Please, for gods sake use your brain for once in your life and check your phone's model.
G2 has official 4.2.2 ROM which means custom ROMs based on 4.2.2 would probably include LG framework files. Our latest official ROM is 4.1.2 and NO ONE of the 4.2.x+ ROMs include LG framework so you can't simply get it to work on custom ROMs.
Sidenote: Our phone is LG 4x HD P880, not LG G2.

Steps i think is needed:
1. Try to reflash LG Software 4.1.2 (see if solved. not? proceed next steps.)
2. Relock Bootloader
3. Send back to LG and hope they can solve it.
Sorry if my grammar was wrong I'm 15 and learning English.

i like the way u put it xD you havent changed anything.
"I have done some changes, remove some software i didnt use using titanium backup, freeze some apps and services too, remove some empty pastes in system directory using root explorer, install iodak kernel, install mods like sound optimization via cwm nothing more! if the kernel and mods are nothing then what ? xD especially kernel... kernel is everything. you know it could be the kernel also that caused u the problem. go read what kernel is. its the communication between software and hardware.
But ok you havent changed much
