I have changed several ROMs for my HD7. I played with developer unlocked phone etc... However I decided to return to the "original" ROM, and update phone "regularly" with Zune.
At the moment I have:
OS Version - 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision number - 2250.09.15401.401
I have problem with tethering (i just don't have "internet sharing" option). I'm guessing I haven't received HD7 firmware update?
This was not such a big problem, however I also have trouble with Tango(app) and Skype. I cannot make them work...
Does anyone have any idea?

Hey everyone, first post here.
I recently bought a NEW HTC Dream off eBay. After receiving it, i tested out with my sim card, and found out that it does indeed work with my network (3 Australia), and everything else functions as normal (google sync, sms, internet).
However, i know that the firmware is 1.1, and i want to upgrade it. After trying to "Check for updates" in the normal settings, an error occurs and force closes the settings, not allowing me to upgrade.
I checked the info, and this is what it is (see text file attached as i cannot post "links")
the phone IS "T Mobile" branded, yet it works with all of my settings in Australia, except for the upgrade.
I tried to download 1.5 various times, and tried to upgrade manually, but it will not work.
My question - what is going on, why can't i upgrade to the latest firmware ??
Thanks everyone in advance

please guys, need help !
Hi guys, I am just about to throw my phone and my computer across the room! lol.
I have been trying for a week to get Kies working on my laptop (Win XP 32 bit)
I am getting the usual MTP driver errors. I have tried everything i have found after hundreds of google searches. I have formatted my internal SD, installed drivers, uninstalled kies and drivers and reinstalled. still nothing!
I need to update my firmware as I am using JF3 and i keep getting the SMS sending/recieving issues. I have been told that JF4 will fix (Optus Australia). I need to update in a way that will not viod my warranty. I want the official Optus latest firmware.
What are my options? I am sick of my phone being useless all the time not sending/recieving sms, not recieving calls, until i reset the phone.
thanks in advance!
Use a 3rd party messaging app, like ChompSMS.
I'm in Canada, on Bell. using the baseband version i9000UGJL2. Its not rooted or anything.
it started yesterday, but I can't connect to twitter, through apps, or even through the web browser. It will work if I have the phone on Wifi, but it won't work on 3G/HSPA. All other apps and websites work fine.
There's appearantly a new firmware out, but Kies won't let me update to it. I tried using the registry editor to force the update, but when the process starts, it stops and says its not available for my firmware version.
I had to use Kies (older version back around the new year) & the 1.7 reg editor to force update to froyo. Is there anything else I can do with what I've got? Or do I need to look into rooting it? I'm kind of new to all this, so any help would be appreciated. TIA
What new firmware ??
Most likely a Twitter/ your Twitter account /settings problem as its both an app and web problem .
Rooting will not help that's only gaining administrator rights over your phone .

Howdy folks,
I received the HTC One (801n) earlier today. It arrived with 4.1.2.
Explored it for a few minutes, although I did not set it up fully - assuming I'd have to do it all over again following a 4.2.x update (I am coming from the HTC Desire, btw).
The WiFi was connecting without issues, then. I was also able to download the official 4.2.2 update from HTC servers.
The update was executed successfully - and surprisingly - I did not have to set-up the device from scratch. I then happened to notice that the phone would not connect to the WiFi network. I have my old Desire beside me (running a 4.2.2 custom ROM) and it has never faced those issues.
For a moment, I thought it was a hardware defect - but I recalled that the update from 4.1.2 was done OTA on the same WiFi network. I am, therefore, guessing it is a 4.2.2 bug.
Unfortunately, Google searches did not show any such issue specific to the One. However, there were 4.2.2-and-WiFi related issues in the One X.
I have tried a few full-resets in vain. Could someone please offer an insight?
Thanks, in advance, for your time/help.

Try removing the network in wifi settings and then reconnecting from new, it's not a issue with 4.2.2 causing this.
If that fails then after a base update (4.1.2 to 4.2.2) a factory reset is sometimes required after the update but this will mean having to set everything up again.

Thank you for the response. Did that, mate.
I guess you mean - 'forget' network and reconnect afresh? Yep, tried that. And did the factory reset too - to no avail.
Searched threads here, guess this is a first - in the meanwhile, I'll check out other Google results which indicated similar issues with the One X. Never owned one before, but shouldn't be all that different.
Hey guys!
It's been a long time since I've stopped by, but I hope you can help me
Last week, I decided to give Windows 10 for Phones a shot on my Lumia 820. It was a complete pain in the ... Basically nothing seemed to work properly, so I decided to go back to WP8 / WP8.1.
The downgrade to WP8.0 with the Recovery Tool worked almost without any difficulties. Getting my Backup to work wasn't a problem either...
After I got the main stuff (Homescreen, App settings, etc) up and running, I installed the Preview for Developers App to upgrade to the latest version of WP8.1 to get Cortana working here in Germany
But after the first two updates, I still don't have Cortana - I'm stuck at WP version 8.10.14192.280.
The Cortana build should at least be 8.10.14219.341.
Every time I try to check for updates, WP comes up with Error Code 80072f8f.
After hours of searching and reading, the only cause for this error I could find was a wrong set date, time or region setting.
Date, time and region are all correct, it doesn't make any difference if i set it automatically or manually. Store apps can be installed and updated without any problems - which shouldn't be the case if any of the above settings were wrong. Updating to the phone`s current OS version worked flawlessly with those settings.
I've manually checked for updates about 30 times over the last few days, to rule out any server-side problems regarding windows update.
when the phone is connected to my pc running Windows phone recovery tool, my pc can't find any newer version of WP either.
Am I doing something monumentally stupid? Or is there any known issue I am encountering? I have no idea what to do anymore... :/
Btw. The about section in settings shows the following:
Model: Nokia Lumia 820
Carrier: o2 DE - v294.02
Software: Windows Phone 8.1 Update
OS version: 8.10.14192.280
Firmware revision number: 3051.40000.1347.1005
Hardware revision number: 2.4.5.0
Radio software version: 1.0.202158.3
Chip-SOC-Version: 8960
Thanks in advance
Try changing your region to US or UK and then search for update
tried 5 different regions so far... didn't make any difference :|
Did you ever get your phone to check for updates? I have a Nokia Lucia 635 and wanted to put windows 10 on it, so i did all the steps, got updated to Lumia denim and now i have the same issue you were having. 80072f8f I have tried everything but a reset.
